  1. I can't remember if it was commented on here or elsewhere, but Dastmalchian also has a small part as the Joker henchman Aaron Eckhart nearly kills in The Dark Knight.
  2. One thing I don't think anyone has mentioned: the woman who is trying to hook up with her married coworker (and I think the same woman who lets Dougie into the ladies' room) seems to have --NDA on her coffee cup. Maybe this is the Linda the Giant/?????? mentions in episode 1?
  3. Different kids. The kid that watches the hitmen has straighter hair and is skinnier
  4. An interesting note about the bar scene that I didn't realize: the guy that takes the money is the jerk deputy that makes a snide comment about the Log Lady, and the guy giving him the money is listed in the credits as "Richard Horne".
  5. I want to say I read somewhere Morleys are a common fake cigarette brand across movies due to the reuse of props across productions, but they became associated with the X-Files due to the frequent appearances of the Cigarette Smoking Man
  6. Man, that letter about the history of Let's Plays. I distinctly remember reading Boatmurdered and The Terrible Secret of Animal Crossing before you had to pay for a SA forum account, then losing track of the whole phenomenon for a few years, and then being totally baffled when the video LPs blew up. I started seeing news articles about how Let's Plays were becoming a huge thing and getting excited and clicking a link to one, but then not understanding why it was a 3-hour YouTube video.
  7. Funnily enough, I almost made a second post earlier with this exact line of thinking as evidence that it IS Diane
  8. I'm leaning that way. Her character was described in PR from before the show started as "a big surprise" or "a big secret" or something. I can't think of a female character whose identity would have to be kept secret to be a big surprise other than Diane or I guess Caroline Earle? Granted, all that PR stuff has to be taken with a big grain of salt but given the generally low-key stylings of the lead-up to the show, that sticks out to me.

I just finished The Talos Principle. Really excellent, what I wish The Witness had been, in a way. Really enjoyed debating with Milton, although there came a point where it seemed like he just thought I was an idiot and didn't want to talk to me in-depth anymore. Bummed that the cool ASCII eye design t-shirt is out of stock on the Croteam store.
  10. I rewatched episodes 1-3 with a friend today (didn't have time for 4). I skipped past the credits for 1 to get to 2 due to time constraints, but it looked like it just cut back to the Giant's phonograph playing.
  11. I wasn't going to comment on this because I felt silly for even noticing it/being bothered by it, but what the hell: SHE HAS TWO PHONES That log must be seeing crap left and right
  12. I'm betting Diane is the woman they're talking about, and Audrey is the mysterious millionaire who owns the NYC box-trap-thing.
  13. I gotta say, I'm really digging the bar outros. It feels like a nice breath of fresh air after the past several hours of constant pressure.
  14. I haven't seen episodes 3/4 yet but I'm pretty sure the recorder that the doppelgänger has is not Cooper's old tape recorder. The old recorder had a ton of buttons on it wifh text labels that you see in close up shots all the time. The new recorder seems to be more of a nondescript box. I was assuming it came with whatever the thing he takes out of the (Blockbuster) black case is. Im typing this on my iPad shortly after waking up so my thoughts haven't really coalesced but I liked all of this a lot and I can't wait for next week. The match cut (I think that's what it's called?) in the opening credits from the waterfall to the curtains is Very Good.
  15. Morrowind Revisited (13 years)

I loved the fast travel system in this game. I wish I had saved the London Underground-style transit map I drew out for my reference back in the day.

Thanks for the info, all. Someday I'd like to replay it just to get all the alternate photo locations, I'll have to keep an eye out for the other altered texts. (And yes, I did find the ones in the dream sequence at the end - it took me a minute to remember who the hell Pompidou was.)
  17. It just struck me tonight that I've been eating Nick's endorsement for ages and didn't make the connection: it's called a tin roof sundae.Turkey Hill sells a premade version in half-gallons.

I finished Life is Strange and I only cried a little a lot. One question I had: during the art gallery segment, you can go back through Max's phone and read a totally different set of texts for each character reflecting the altered timeline. Is this a thing throughout the entire game, and I just never noticed, or is it just for that part of the game?
  19. "I was confronted with the future" is definitely the title of the oral history of Important If True that Rolling Stone runs in 5 years
  20. If it weren't for Patreon and you guys had to do a second Kickstarter, "One of the 45 Brains" would be a really great backer tier name.
  21. Thanks for reading my letter! :3
  22. Does anyone have a time code for when the Murder She Wrote talk starts? Want to play for it for a friend
  23. In re: ads: I forgot I had the Patreon stream and was very confused when some offhand comment was made about reading ads and then the conversation just started again. I was trying to figure out for a good 10 minutes or so what product this was about to transition into before I remembered I had swapped out the feeds in my 'cast app.
  24. I was dying in my car listening to Jake spin out the David Lynch's Murder She Wrote storyline/Jessica vs. Jaws. When Alan Moore came up and Jake immediately got cut off, my brain went into overdrive and I thought the logical leap was to From Hell's weird psychogeography/London as a massive Freemason ritual site, but the move to "Batman creates the supervillains" was a. so extremely obvious I should have thought of it and b. more evidence of why I love you guys.
