First time making it to Hell in a daily challenge! -
Alright apparently there's a new game plus mode that's actually more challenging. Anthony Burch talks about it briefly in his Spelunky daily challenge video ( if interested). I'm going to have to give Eldritch another go.

I played through this game yesterday. I found it to be enjoyable, but it felt way too easy to me. I think I was playing very cautiously having read that it takes inspiration from roguelikes in its description. I've been streaming my Spelunky daily challenges recently, so when this was released I decided to just stream myself playing it cold with no knowledge other than "you should play this game" recommendations from some folks I follow on Twitter. I had one death early trying to figure out how to kill the blob thing (I think you just run away and never look back) and then beat the game on my second playthrough. The stream can be found here if anyone is curious. http://www.twitch.tv/jeconner/b/472335124

I'm hammerpants on steam if anyone wants to add me to compare leaderboard scores etc. It looks like this is the place to post daily challenge runs? Not actually sure how to embed the video directly in the post. Edit: I guess my steam id is actually jeconner. http://steamcommunity.com/id/jeconner -
Hey guys. I've been listening to idle thumbs for over a year now, but never bothered to register for the forums until now. Lately I've really enjoyed watching Chris and Nick play their Spelunky daily challenges. It's funny how Nick regards the adventure mode of that game as sort of the warm-up scrimmage match. I hadn't really thought about it until he said that, but I think I regard it in a similar fashion. I find that play much more carefully in the daily challenges, while in adventure mode I'm much more likely to just "go for it," often with hilarious and disastrous consequences.
