So I'm just mulling shit over as I work and had a thought about the Doll -
The interconnectedness of relationships that the prequels and the EU introduced is one of the things that bugged me, particularly Yoda and Chewbacca knowing each other. The desire in some massive universes to have these looping relationships across decades or centuries is just silly to me.

Yeah, and I actually just edited in two other examples I thought of to my spoiler as well, not as clear as that one or the first two, but still, odd and not really functional head coverings. -

I got curious and read some other fan theories, something I hadn't done yet. Another theory is that... -

That's what pebbles and throwing knives are for!

I really liked the blue thing fight, mostly for the emotional/story impact of it. \[T]/ -
Oh man, I gotta check the channel, that sounds fabulous. Hopefully these are archived. Also, molotovs are surprisingly cheap/plentiful, and useful throughout the entire game. Bloodborne really encourages full arsenal use. I literally killed the final boss last night with a throwing knife to the face because I was out of all other resources, and had to keep dodging backwards to avoid damage since I was out of heals.

Yep, that's it. And you had to neutralize their boss. I don't remember the non-lethal way, but the lethal way was to throw him off his balcony. He went flying in my game.

Ebrietas was another one that I sailed through. I was probably about 90 for that fight. So far the only other boss besides the Martyr who has been a brick wall for me is the Bloodletting Beast, a boss unique to the dungeons. I still haven't beat it, finally gave up and just finished the game last night. I had assumed my open chalices would close going to NG+, but they don't! So the Beast is still waiting for me down on Depth 3. I have no idea what's going on with this story! Spoiler is for the *secret* ending: I'll probably write up some more thoughts about the game in its entirety, and how I feel it compares to the other Souls games, when I've reflected on it some more. I did fire up DS2: SotFS for a bit and created a new character after finishing Bloodborne. It was like slipping into a comfortable old pair of pants. Slower combat, stamina management, fat rolls, all those colors! -
Everything in this thread makes me so happy.

Oddly enough, the most satisfying "relationships" in ME for me were the friendships, primarily the ship's doctor, Mordin, Garrus and Wrex. The way those interactions were written genuinely felt like there was a deep affection and mutual respect between Shepard and her allies. For romance, I stuck with Liara in my Paragon playthrough, and never messed with romances with it as a Renegade. I got a bigger kick out of the other romances, such as Edi/Joker and Tali/Garrus.

The Martyr is the only boss I haven't been able to solo yet. Have fought him with three characters, and had to pull in help each time. The sword can be targeted separately, and is destroyed by any damage to it, so a single pistol shot will take care of it. If the Martyr shows up in a dungeon like Rom did, that might be the end of my dungeon crawling. -

Ha, I thought TOR was one of the easiest fights I just danced around it's feet, beat the crap out of it, and it died. But I've only fought it once. Probably one of those cases where I'll get wrecked when I fight it again. -

Decided to try and push through to a Depth 4 dungeon before finishing the game to get a couple of things only present in the dungeons. Rom is a tedious fucking fight. Good lord. He's not that hard, just tiring. He might be the worst fight in the all the Souls games for me. Also, yet another thing I learned, there's a hidden weight/stamina system. After the discovery about the Hand Lantern, people started checking other gear, and stamina regen is definitely affected by at least what weapon you have active in each hand, and maybe other gear as well. It potentially gives a bit more value to the two melee weapons that have guns built into them, as you could give up your left hand gun completely. Although I've rarely felt like bottoming out stamina is what's killed me (unlike DS1 and 2), so it's probably not that big of a deal. -
The only playthrough I finished was intended to be non-lethal/no alarms, but then there as the scene where the gangsters were forcibly surgically augmenting sex workers, and I executed every last one of them I could find. Then I went back to not killing people. I did make it through saving Malik, but I don't remember that fight very well.

I know he had it professionally painted/coated, so it is both a heat and weather resistant paint, but I'm not sure what they used. That's the only thing he wasn't able to do in his own shop to the level he wanted.

*mind blown* I'll bet that was intentional. A whole bunch about their design makes sense now. Pretty early on there are a couple of farming areas where you can get 12K-20K echoes in just a minute or two, which is probably faster than reloading a save at that point. Depends on how many consumables a fight is burning. -
A Dedicated Thread For Talking About Star Trek Episodes

I probably have a higher level of tolerance for the "cheese" factor in TNG because of when I started watching it. I didn't start watching it until it had been on a season or two, so I was probably 11 or 12, that perfect age to watch/read a lot of cheesy crap and love it anyways. Like, the very first episode I ever saw of TNG was The Royale, which in hindsight is probably not a very good episode, but I have incredible fondness for it because it was my introduction to all the characters. -
I actually beat a game over the weekend! Finally finished the last couple of areas of Middle Manager of Justice, one of the only DoubleFine games I hadn't got around to playing. It's a fun little portable time waster, though the framework for something a lot more interesting is there. I'd love to see them re-visit that kind of game with the lessons they learned from it.

Oh shit, I forgot to mention the thing that almost made me nope-out last night while playing. As you approach the top of the tower in the Nightmare of Mensis... -
If we're doing grill porn, my ever resourceful father-in-law made a badass grill/smoker over the last few weeks to donate to his local state park. Since he's mostly retired now, he's been doing some volunteering out there. He wanted to make them something that would allow for some big cookouts, since most of the grills that are present are fairly small, and it's been super dry out there, so he wanted a grill that would have next to no chance of starting a fire because sparks flew out of it. We were home over the weekend, and helped deliver it on Saturday, but of course we had to try it out first on Friday evening with some steaks

I've been watching ENB's videos (I'm up to ep 4) to digest some of the lore, item descriptions and conversations that I may not have paid that much attention to the first time through. I'm just sticking them in a small window in the corner as I work. Have definitely learned some things I missed, particularly from item descriptions.
