Well that's a massive bummer.

I thought he already said the reason behind her character design was "so the figurines will sell and people will want to cosplay her."

I'm terrible and am still catching up on pods since I started casting, but the community is neat!

Vidcons have been a thing since time immemorial.

ObjectiveGameReviews.com - A Subtle Journey of Discovery

You should start a sister site for games editorials called objectivegameopinions.com. -
I mentioned Mirai Nikki above, but I'm still not quite sure why I watched the whole thing. I mean I quit watching a lot of decent anime/shows part way through because they're a bit boring or something doesn't click with me or whatever, but I breezed through MN despite thinking it was utterly terrible. Sometimes bad is it's own form of compelling I guess. I started watching Michiko and Hatchin thanks to the recommendation earlier and it seems pretty neat so far!

Yessss. I saw the thumbnail and thought "oh shit is that a new Felix Colgrave." That guy is just way too good. Think I'm gonna have to grab the soundtrack to that. -
Actually now that I think about it, I didn't even attack anyone. I picked the wrong dialog choice when I first met Alvina, which meant she wouldn't talk to me and I couldn't join the Forest Covenant. Wouldn't have been a big deal except I'm a stupid completionist and wanted to do every fucking thing, which is why my first playthrough clocked in at about 110 hours. :|

Long shot, but is it the one where she kisses a bald girl and her parents turn out to be gay too? Those are the only details I remember about it but if so then yeah that manga is the best.

ObjectiveGameReviews.com - A Subtle Journey of Discovery

That is... incredible. I mean clearly that guy's nuts but I've seen the basic sentiment behind what he wants out of "objective" criticism and I honestly have no idea what these people really want. I don't think they do, either. They say they want unbiased reviews which help them decide whether or not to drop dollars on a game, but they also rail against any criticism that might help them make that decision if they perceive it as biased. Which... can only conceivably be based on their own biases. Then they hold up things like pointing out sexism as examples of biased journalism, because clearly the objectively more important thing to note is that Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate has new sit down bounce mechanics. Actually what am I doing, fuck expending brain power trying to understand these people. -
One of my favourite movies of all time. Beautiful ending. (Memories of Murder, for anyone wondering.)
-
I can't think of a single reason why they'd put it on the 3DS, though.

What if I don't have a Wii U or friends.
-
I like the idea in theory, but I won't be totally torn up if I don't have to be overly careful about how close my fingers are to the triggers around vendors. Paying the sin dude like 20,000 souls to be forgiven on my first playthrough was kind of a bummer.

Whoops, I guess that link doesn't jump to the right comment. I meant this one. I mean maybe people feel this way, but I'm not really sure what the "stereotype" is she's referring to, and I can't help but feel like a lot of people (on both sides of the fence) are missing the fact that it's a teenage romance and therefore not wholly representative of every typical, stable homosexual relationship ever.

I played a bunch of MH Tri on Wii, but how's 3U if you don't have anyone else to play with? Is a bunch of the late game content still gated off to online only? I'm hoping like hell they'll bring over 4 eventually with online intact.

How do people still complain that a game didn't "live up to the hype." Maybe the problem is that you're listening to the hype in the first place and not that the game didn't live up to an imaginary standard set forth by people who don't necessarily share your opinions on what constitutes a good game. Maybe hype is a really, really bad way to judge the quality of a piece of art. This comment caught my attention, though: http://www.polygon.com/2014/1/15/5311568/game-of-the-year-2013-gone-home#210074979 Do people really feel this way? Genuinely curious.

Watched about half that trailer before I had to force myself to close it. Exposed myself to way too much media before Dark Souls, I want to go in as blind as possible this time. Also seems like it's subtly balanced towards PvP, which meshes with a lot of the other changes they've mentioned, like the way they changed parries to have a slight wind-up and made backstabbing harder. The way I read it, you lose 10% maximum health on each death and it caps at 50%. Your character also "looks" more hollow the more you die without restoring to human. I'm totally behind the change, I'm more worried about the cheap unavoidable deaths a bunch of people were talking about in the beta.

Hi! I like your avatar.

Really? I didn't get that impression at all from the first two episodes, she's just as assertive as ever, if anything she was more overtly sexualised in the original series. Not that I ever had a problem with that since it was never played up as a weakness or just for cheesecake or whatever. I agree about the plots, they've generally been weaker, but the first episode was pretty serviceable in comparison to ep 2, especially since it was more of an introduction/origin story. (Full disclosure: I love the plots in SAC but they tend to confuse the shit out of me until I've watched them through 2 or 3 times. Still gotta rewatch 2nd GIG.)
-
Oh, it's not really a remake, it's a prequel. The first movie is about Motoko's first meeting with Aramaki and a few of the other central characters.
-
It's much more similar to SAC than the original movies.
