You may want to adjust your settings for a better frame-rate. It's hard to watch.

Just sayin.

In a subversive attempt to start a conversation about what a Spelunky pinball table would look like: What steam game would you want in exchange for making an image of a pinball table similar to this, but with a Spelunky theme?

Are there games available in Romania that people in the U.S. may not have access to or may not know about due to a lack of localization? If so, are any of them particularly interesting?
-
But maybe they'll come for the free games and stay for the Gone Home thread. Someone start a thread titled "Not-A-Games Giveaway", just in case someone needs to get rid of their extra copy of Dear Esther.

Since I think of X-files as a pulp procedural with thriller-leanings, I assume its modern day equivalent would be C.S.I. I haven't seen much C.S.I., but when I did I was disgusted by how the show serves short, gruesome clips of violent sex-crime dramatizations as if it was a reward during conditioning. I thought it was gross. And the Cops part was that everything has to have a reality-tv edge these days. As you can tell, I'm unfairly cynical about american television.

This dude is claiming that he was forced to work for low wages during pre-trial detention. It's a little closer to what El Muerte was suggesting. http://abcnews.go.com/m/story?id=16970464

You jest.http://articles.latimes.com/2011/nov/20/local/la-me-inmate-fees-20111120 The mentalility of many people here is that prison is a priviledge that prisoners are exploiting. I get so frustrated when people say things like "Did you hear they get Playstations? They get free everything; medical care, food, a warm bed." Whenever I hear someone say that, I consider framing them.

I don't know if any of you have ever gone to an Earth, Wind, and Fire concert; but let me tell you, they can get crazy.

If you gave codes away in other random threads then the beggars would have to read our opinions in order to find them.

If anyone is looking for a fresh match-three with simple yet challenging mechanics, Chip-Chain is really good. free on both ios and android At first it looks like a unimaginative version of Triple Town, but it has an additional card-system that makes it into a different game entirely. Has anyone noticed how there's actually a back-and-forth between micro-transactions and xp-rewards? It seems that some designers decided to monetize by charging for xp-rewards and consumables that are typically earned through skilled play, but then that forced them to come up with xp-rewards and consumables that people were compelled to pay for. Now, some games are taking inspiration from the monetized forms and demonetizing them. Chip Chain has done exactly this and it an be kind of confusing, especially because you would expect that a free game will eventually corrupt itself by demanding money for key features. Chip Chain starts off with a few available game modes, three types of cards and 8(?) types of chips. It's a satisfying game in that initial form, but as you finish games and earn xp, you can buy new chips, new cards and new game-modes. Of course, you can spend money to get enough xp to unlock all the features permanently, but I enjoy paying for my chip and card upgrades by playing. That's the meta-game though, here is what you actually do: -You place a chip and then the AI places a chip. -Matches of three or more consolidates all of them into one chip of a higher number (on the spot that you click) -When you make a match that uses the chip you consoliated on the previous turn, you earn a card. -Cards can be activated at any time, don't count as turns, have special abilities, and you initialy can only have three in your hand. So this might not make sense until you try it once, but here is an example of how it goes down: After placing enough chips to fill the board, I have three contigous 1's bordering six contigous 2's which border one 3. I have a card that allows me to increase the number on one a single chip by one. I click on one of the 1's that is touching a two, this consolidates all the 1's into a single 2-chip on the spot I clicked. Then I use my card on a 2 which borders the 3 to increase it's value to 3. The reason I did this was so I would have three 3's to match once I consolidate the 2's. Then I click on a 2 that borders one of the two 3's I now have. This "chain" (I made a match that included the resulting chip from my last non-card move) rewards me with a new card. So now I have three 3's so I click on one of them for a new card. Everything I have clicked on has resulted in a single 4-chip. I know that won't make since unless you try it. It's addictive, be warned. I've already earned the card that allows you to make a copy of a chip and the ability to consolidate chips up to a value of 10. It's not work, game is super fun.

I don't know the answer to either of these questions. I can ask.

I'm not sure it will be much help deciding what to do next time. I'd hate for you to get a maximum sentence for a crime you didn't commit, but here is a better link anyway: http://video.pbs.org/video/2216784391/ In related news, my brother in law served on a jury that gave dude a year in prison for stealing a pair of shoes from a thrift-store; a jury trial.

Plea bargains like this have made the justice system in the United States incredibly exploitative. Here is a documentary which attempts to explain the situation: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/plea/view/ I'm sorry they gave you bogus charges and then acted like they were doing you a favor by forcing you to do labor. I believe you. The system is broken.

The thing about currency speculation is that whenever someone is cashing out, that means that other people lost that money. I understand that the participants are willing to risk loss for the possibility of robbing someone else, but it just looks like a bunch of people trying to take advantage of each other to me. I imagine it can be exciting, but you inherently can't profit without someone else's loss and knowing that removes any possibility of achieving anything I'm personally interested in.

What would the romanization of that pronounciation be?

I think I would love a podcast where people who don't play many games are escorted into a Gamestop or onto the Steam page and then choose two or three games to play, play them for a month, and then get together and talk about them. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think I would eat that shit up. I listen to Gameological in Stereo specify for Bonnie Teti's reviews. Conan O'Brien is a bit too celebrity for me though; he's been assimilated.
