Talos is well worth that price. One of the prettier games I've played in a long time, and good variety of puzzle difficulties depending on your completionist goal.

I think this was probably in response to me complaining about Majesty 2 on the recently completed games thread. The stuff about the botched release I think was referring to Majesty 2, not the original. The original seems to be getting good reviews on steam and I found this quote from the forums back in 2010. I hadn't heard about the Play-Asia thing, but I find it funny (not funny) that the developer quote is basically saying that they can still be shitty to women in video games in Japan, but that's not acceptable in the US anymore. *sigh* I am not above titillation, I played some DOAX2 with my wife actually, it was just a bad game. One of the worst I can remember playing.

Games in this style with friendly fire tend to not go well with me, but I am sorta curious.

Man, I'll never forget trying to run through that first tunnel with the anomalies and getting the tutorial about bolts after dying about 50 times trying to make it through.

I've found forums in which off-topic rules are enforced to be stifling. Of course, I'm biased. The last forum I was on before this one literally started when a larger forum outlawed Megathreads with wandering conversations in them, so those of us who frequented them built our own forum and ran that concept into the ground

They may have had something like that, or might have added it since I played. It's been years since I dabbled. I guess not having access to all characters put me in the mindset of "find a lord I'm good with and always play him/her" where Dota having everyone unlocked from the start makes me think more about team composition and picking a different/right lord for each situation. I also had a ton more familiarity with LOMAs between when I first played LoL and later played Dota, so it's not so easy to compare.

I really need to take another shot at STALKER. Is Call of Pripyat generally considered the best of them? Do I miss anything by not completing the earlier games. I've gotten stuck on the original STALKER three different times.

While I understand what you're saying, It's a little bit easier when you're a pro to have your 5 or so main characters. It's a bit tougher when you don't know how any of the lords play to pick one. I kinda enjoyed the concept of unlocking the characters I like when I was new to LoL and LOMA's in general, but when there's so much stress on having a proper team composition and you get yelled at for not picking the "right" character, well... that's why I quit.

That didn't stop everyone from reporting on the contents of the Sony hack, or iPhone rumors, or so many other things. I guess I don't really have a problem with the way that the entertainment news business works. Maybe a little more so on the Sony hacks that other items, but that's just because personal details were pulled through the mud, not just factual ones related to products.

I have a foot anti-fetish, so socks are a plus in almost all situations in my opinion.

Sounds like you handled the questions from the higher-ups well. You never want to outright say yes, because that just makes you look bad for mudslinging, but I bet you they got the hint you were trying drop. They wouldn't have asked in the first place if they hadn't already seen some evidence of it. As for the extra work, be glad that you're not salary and being told to work 60 hours with no extra pay to get it all done. Those sorts of stories are all to common these days. Many companies just pile work on until you start to crack : (

Welcome to news reporting on Star Wars. And yes, if someone got the manuscript for Harry Potter before it was published, I'd expect them to report on that too. Not posting the entire manuscript, since that would be questionable on copyright laws, but a plot summary. Really, i don't understand why the tech field is so secretive. In Hollywood, you know movies are getting made long before they show up on shelves or have an official announcement.

JC2 has been a nice break in Fallout binges so far, except for the lack of reasonable checkpoints and a huge map that you fly across, die, then have to fly across a second time.

The meta games are way too much work, but I did enjoy popping up the store each morning to see what was new. A little anticipation every day.

I've only been able to play a few hours the last few days and have gotten 5 frames with various bits on them. It's a combination of being in a new area that has a ton of them, and also hitting a weird point where suddenly raiders are in power armor all the time.
