Personally, I haven't had any game-breaking bugs, just a lot of oddities, weird temporary hangs, camera not looking at the right thing, etc. It does just take a while to do anything though, long loads, long turn timers. Some of that is fixable through mods, but other bits are just coded into the game to be cinematic, or other glitches in the engine.

Postmates, Uber, Lyft, Dolly, and any of those other work sharing apps (I guess, I don't know what to call them) work because each person is an independent contractor, and thus isn't subject to the same minimum wage laws. In many ways it's dumb, but in others it's more efficient by cutting out at least some of the middleman stuff. That's part of the reason that taxi companies throw a fuss, because they can't offer prices as low because they have to stick to certain government regulations that increase cost. In short, yes, tip! Edit: Sharing economy, I guess that's as good of a term as any.

The time limits frustrated me at first, but now that I've done a mission or two that didn't have one, I felt kinda listless. Much like the save system in Dead Rising that everyone hated, but I loved. It adds tension. What I still don't like about XCOM 2 is how long it takes to do anything. I'm not usually the modding type, but I'm going to have to get that Shut-up Bradford mod I think.

If you don't mind me asking, was this something that a therapist recommended you do? My therapist has been recommending I write things down, but then I feel so silly doing it, so I don't.

Interesting, I really liked what I saw of this before, but it also looked a bit thin. I'd imagine that the content has probably been built out a lot more so I'll have to take another peek.

Ug, somehow each year the lease on our townhouse catches me by surprise. This year they want to jack up our rent $161, just after having the place ripped apart for 3 weeks for plumbing replacement. I know it's silly to complain about this stuff as we're in the financial situation where we could afford the extra cost, or a different place if we decide to go that direction. But man, apartment hunting sucks and fills me with dread.

Hmm, I guess I could get a steam refund then hit up GMG. -
I have done that before. It ended up that the manager involved was right, and was nice enough to not hold it over my head Seriously though, we turned it into a pretty successful working relationship.

He could infer your intent based on past patterns of behavior but, given this conversation and no context, I would agree with that. Edit: Or, depending on the tone of the conversation, he could also be saying that he trusts you will fix the problem and doesn't need reasons.

And here I thought you were talking folks from New Zealand.

An excuse is trying to escape blame, while a reason is accepting the blame but talking about what could make the situation better next time? Or, there is no difference.

Pretty severely unless you're using roads with bus lanes.

It seems to me that it's always been about what's important to all of you any given week, and I'd imagine that releasing a new game would be on that list, but I understand what you mean. Well then, I'll just say the advise that I've told my friend who's in a band, have heard from Penny Arcade, and various other folks of low to mid celebrity. You might feel like you're repeating the same message over and over to the same people, and you're just boring folks, but sometimes the 10th time you say something is the first time that a given person has heard about it. Were I a podcast-only fan and not a forums goer or general follower of video gaming news, I may not even know you've got a game out there.

Just that. Makes you a free kill and I believe the killing player gets a small bounty. Edit: I haven't seen the PS4 version, but it looks pretty nice on my mid-range PC, so I have a feeling that the PS4 version will either look uglier or struggle performance-wise. The PC client is weird though, I already had uPlay for the Siege beta, so I fired it up to install the Division... and it sent me to Steam. So I guess they want the reporting, but aren't willing to stand up a software distribution system? -
Giantbomb did a segment on this in UPF this week. It looks awesome. It's absolutely not my type of game, but it looks awesome.

The inevitable happened: AI can now play Go

I don't generally feel hungry the first hour or two after getting up, which means I'm ready to eat about when I'm on the bus to work. Some mornings I can catch breakfast at the cafeteria, others it's going nuts the moment I sit down.

As a side note, I'd love to get a little inside Firewatch information on the cast. I know you're worried about shilling too hard, but I think you could give us some behind the scenes stuff while also serving as an advertisement. I'm sure that a lot of your listeners have already purchased, but it never hurts to remind people. If you're really feeling guilty about it, you could always have Campo Santo pay Idle Thumbs the commercial mentions fee that you're selling on the store.

I think the most optimal, but hardest to setup, method to end concealment is to have everyone on the team in overwatch, then have the alien walk around the corner and spot you on their turn. Since the aliens' turns are taken by the reaction moves, this gives you everyone's overwatch shots, then the entire next round to finish them off. The only downside is the occasional enemy who decides to take a shot rather than move for their reaction. I've noticed this happening most often with aliens that don't use cover (mainly mechs.)

Wow, I haven't played with any of the psi-ops yet. I'm not sure if I'm behind, or just had the wrong priorities. There was a little while there that I literally had nothing to research except plasma weapons, but I didn't have enough elerium.

Now I guess we'll just have to find out how much Playstation VR is. I'm kinda hoping my bonus gives me enough cash to order an Occulus, but I assume at this point I won't be getting it until the end of the year, right?

If you take more than 20% of a person's health away in the dark zone, you get flagged. The flag lasts for a certain time, encouraging you to basically run off and hide. I didn't play much in the dark zone, but the regular areas play like a co-op shooter with loot and skill trees, Normally that wouldn't do it for me, but the feel of the weapons was really good, the environments are pretty, and the spontaneous missions that pop up as you wander around felt pretty cool. I liked a lot of intangibles that are really tough to describe. It's basically a Borderlands set in modern times, with a giant PvP area in the middle. Oh, and cover based, and none of the wackiness of course. -
A Cliff bar before the bus ride, and now a microwaved sausage, egg, and cheese croissant from a box as a late breakfast, early lunch thing.

I was surprised how much I liked it. It sounds like a lot of my gaming buddies are going to be getting it, so I'll probably get it too.
