I finally beat it on (easy) "ironman" this weekend. The last mission was pretty challenging, but otherwise it was pretty crazy easy. Now that I understand what some of the less explained abilities and buildings do, I might go back and play again on normal.

Dark Souls 3 {Dark souls 2 successor [Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor)]} (Bloodborne's something)

Not sure how far in you are, but there is a way to respec in the game. It's not quite as easy as Dark Souls 3, but it is there. -

Bloodborne is a lot different of a game. I'd go straight to three personally, but I don't have a PS4 so I had to anyway -

It does encourage being a little bit more aggressive than DS2 though. If you sit back and wait for things to come to you, the enemies have some pretty mean long distance attacks, or you can be easily overwhelmed. I'm enjoying it so far. I understand the complaints of linearity, but even though there's really only been one zone to be in (at least so far) each zone has a maze-like quality that I really love. -

Nice, I haven't played for a while, kinda waiting for features to bake. I'm looking forward to it. -
I'll have to take a look at what's out there. I do have the next week off, so it would be a good time to fit in some pinball between stints of Dark Souls.

I don't recall Obama having much of a real concrete plan for universal healthcare during his campaign. Or maybe I just missed it I guess? I'm not willing to shout down either side for having only vague ideas at this point. Even if they did have a good, solid strategy, no plan ever survives contact with the enemy (which is the republican congress in this case.)

The Division - Tom Clancy Presents Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's The Division, By Ubisoft
Dewar replied to Badfinger's topic in Video Gaming
Dammit, now I know why my friends were all converting crafting items this weekend. What time does this go in? Maybe I can still get it done tonight? Edit: Oh, and this means I might not be able to play with my friends even when I hit level 30 -

I believe you're officially introduced to it at character level 10. The pre-character-level 30 experience is level bracketed, but you'd be in the bracket of the team leader and the lowest bracket is character level 10-12. Keep in mind that the level that's displayed inside the dark zone is actually your DZ level, so you might see someone with the number 50 above them, with the improved gear that brings, but they should still be a character level near you. Or, maybe that all broke in your case for some unknown reason *shrug* http://thedivision.wiki.fextralife.com/Dark+Zones -

I really wanted to buy this for about two weeks, then it disappeared from my friends list as well. What a strange flash-bang of a game. -

Last night I finally filled out my home base. I'm about 1/2 a level from 30, but then it crashed out and I decided I was done for the night. Looking forward to teaming up with my friends in a useful capacity. -
Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

Not a fan of miso really but, this being Seattle, we have several good ramen shops pretty close by that will save a lot of time and money over attempting the recipe again. -
Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

I finally got a chance to make ramen from scratch this weekend. I used the process I linked earlier from Serious Eats http://www.seriouseats.com/2012/02/how-to-make-tonkotsu-ramen-broth-at-home-recipe.html along with their recipe for marinated soft boiled eggs http://www.seriouseats.com/2012/03/the-food-lab-tonkotsu-ramen-part-how-to-make-ajitsuke-tamago-marinated-soft-boiled-eggs.html and, instead of Chashu pork belly, I went with Sous Vide porchetta http://www.seriouseats.com/2011/12/the-food-lab-deep-fried-sous-vide-36-hour-all-belly-porchetta.html I took a bunch of pictures and was going to post them up here, all proud of my two day ordeal, but the broth didn't turn out great. The thing that seems to happen to all my complicated dishes happened to this one, it just didn't have any flavor. It was like eating ramen sitting in dirty tap water. If it had just tasted bad, that would be one thing, but no flavor at all is the most disappointing thing ever, especially when I had to get up at 6am to start cooking for a 6pm dinner. A little bit of my soul was crushed. I ended up boiling the bones on full tilt for another 3 hours, then reducing it down till I was afraid it was going to scorch, and it turned into a passable pork gravy at least, but definitely not ramen-like. Also, I tried a lot of temperature settings and times for Sous Vide soft boiled eggs, but could never get it right. The yolk actually seemed to solidify faster than the whites, leaving a hard ball in the middle of a puddle of mucus. After going through almost a dozen eggs, I finally dumped the Sous Vide machine and just boiled the eggs for 6 minutes exactly, then chilled and peeled (which was it's own ordeal.) The marinade actually turned out really well though, and my wife loved them. If there was a sunny spot in this whole thing, it's that the pork came out absolutely excellent. I would definitely use that recipe again. Frying the outside of the roll to give the rind a nice crispness was great. -
Awesome, I was worried this was just going to end up being some sort of boring conferencing solution.

Well I guess since Jim Sterling was one of the folks complaining about crashes along with the GBeast guys, they must have fixed it if he was able to get a review out. -
I'm way late to the slack train, but I'd like to get in if it's still active. The link in the OP doesn't seem to be functional.

More than a little irresponsible to fly a drone with a big chainsaw on it almost right over your own head.

Some things in Blood Money would also loop if you let them go long enough. I think the combination of time based, encounter based, and looping events makes the game seem really dynamic. -
I'm stuck in the same pile of comics as well. Thankfully, it only takes one good evening to catch up for me.

*shrug* There are conversations that you might hear on one play and not another, as well as different choices you could make, but I'd say replability is fairly low. That being said, I support buying games that you've enjoyed through Youtube. I've bought a few here and there with no intention to actually play them.

I think it's different to report an action taken by a corporation as opposed to harassment done by GamerGate. If this post had been, look at what GG did to this lady with a link to one of the articles about the harassment, I wouldn't find it particularly helpful. But since Nintendo took action, and the post is focusing on that, I think it's useful information to know.

Apparently, people are already starting in on the Soul Level 1 runs. -
For the longest time, I didn't have any upgrades available to purchase. I finally go to the point I could buy the iron dirk, just to have it replaced by the mine level 20 sword. Neither of those seem to help a whole lot when the screen turns green and foggy and bugs swarm. I just have to leave the mine if I haven't uncovered the stairs down yet, resetting my progress. Food doesn't seem to help much as they generally swarm and kill me before I can switch to food, eat it, and then switch back to a sword again. I'm thinking maybe I've spent too much time fishing and not enough time in the caves I guess. I'm only combat level 2 or something.

Reminds me of the original Grand Theft Auto in some ways, which I have fond memories of, but I'm not sure I'm in the market for another twin stick shooter.
