I didn't find any of those bits really all that hard (well maybe the knife into the target thing,) it was mostly the 3d platforming that I was never all that great at in the first place, combined with time pressure that made me mess up.

Sweet, Dust is on sale today. I wonder if it'll get cheaper at some point as a flash deal.

I think the concept is to play two games, trade all of your cards for the second game to get cards for the first game (that you presumably like more) and get that badge.

Mainly, where to go and what to do in the beginning bunny sequence was not very clear to me, which left me wandering around lost for a while, then dying once I ran out of time. Also, there were a couple of spots in the water rising section (the spiral of metal fences) where the controls and camera don't preform logically the same way they have in the rest of the game. *shrug* I don't know how I would have done it without unlimited lives, but I made it all the same.

After spending about half a year on and off, I finally beat Pychonauts. Man, the last level is a pain in the ass, but the rest of the game was brilliant. Timed platforming sequences are never a good idea.

I think I'm finally recovering. It'll be interesting to see how content is going forward. Edit: Looking back at this post, it might seem a bit "eager to get on with it." What I was really thinking is I wonder how much say he had on the features, how much of the general tone was his, and how things are going to change without him. Also, every little piece content they've put up since has made me feel a bit better.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS
Dewar replied to Henroid's topic in Video Gaming
I have no problems with them being stupid and locking their software on jailbroken machines, so long as they properly communicate it before hand. I think it's dumb, but it's their call as long as they are honest and aren't cheating people out of money. -
If you're that obsessed with getting more cards with cash, you'd be better of just buying the cards for $.50 a piece I would think. All I was saying is that they don't directly interract.

The cards you get from purchasing things or voting on sales are Summer sale cards. The cards you get for playing games are cards for those specific games. Each game that's card enabled has it's own set of 5-10 cards to collect that are seperate from any other set.

Pyromancer is generally considered the easiest class I believe, but your choice of starting class doesn't matter so much once you really get going, as you can build your character however you want from there. Spells only recharge at camps but you usually get 20-40 casts (at least as far as I've gotten into the game, the first Bell)

Darksiders seems like a game I should like, but I got 4 hours into Darksiders 1 and tossed it in the bin.

I wonder if there's a lawsuit there, at least in europe where it was decided it was legal to jailbreak iPhones. -

So could that mean that someone has legally purchased the game and is unable to play it? -
So, finally grabbed this on Steam sale. What comes with the game, and what do I need to install to make it pretty?

I've tussled with GFWL in the past, but getting the client and playing Minerva's Den worked fairly smoothly for me earlier this year. Edit: I finally got Dark Souls on PC, and for some reason I picked up Defiance.

You also get a shot at summer sale cards for voting for the next Community Sale

Hmm, so I have Dragon Age Origins, but not the Ultimate editions with all of the DLC. Is the DLC worth 9 bucks?
-
Good on you for getting the wine bottle. I don't know why I was never able to figure that out.

I care about Pokemon a lot more now that my wife bought a 3DS. I may yet get to play this (if I can pry it out of her hands.)
-
Oh, I see what you're saying. That's a very good question.

I assumed that in this world the rules of inheritance are tightly defined and the big evil boss returns the corpse, pockets un-rifled, to the town who holds onto it until the next of kin's coming of age party. The concept of an evil world that's so easy to die in, yet has such a tight set rules that even the bad guys follow them really entertains me. It's sort of Discworld-ish. Either that or the big baddie just enjoys watching one family throw their lives away repeatedly bashing into the ramparts and hands over to gold to encourage the next generation to try again.

I decided to not even try until I'm on my way home for exactly this reason. All the folks in the Giant Bomb DOTA2 guild were talking about how awesome it is though.
-
I'd also imagine that a lot of the development time has gone into the engine and such, leaving mainly the art team to finish up work on the second half one the first half ships.

Wow, that's awesome! I crave more triangulation in my life.

I'm really surprised at how much the death of a guy on the internet that I only ever met twice is really bumming me out. I'll never forget watching him drink anonymous breast milk live on stage.
