That assumes that the air spins at the same rate as the actual station. That could be difficult to setup properly without a lid there at first and, once it's there, why bother removing it.

I'll save the gorey details, but my father in law had spinal surgery a couple of weeks ago. The actual doctor doing the surgery maybe talked to him for 5 minutes and told him "recovery time for these things varies greatly. He could be good to go in a couple of days or a couple of weeks." They also told us he should be ready to go home after a one night stay. After the surgery he was in extreme pain, stayed for three nights, and then they perscribed him some Vicadin and sent him home. few days later he had to go to the emergency room because he was in pain again and was already taking the maximum dose of pain killer. The nurse and doctor there let us know that: 1) Recovery time is almost always at least a month 2) Pain after the surgery is often worse than the pain that the surgery was supposed to be fixing (no mention of this at all at the first hospital) 3) They were shocked that he didn't get some stronger pain killers (they gave us a perscription for percaset) and an anti-inflamitory to help his spinal cord inflamation go down So yeah, I don't blame you Zeus, trust in doctors shaken. The entire experience at the first hospital was lousy in a lot of ways I don't even feel like going into.

It's a bit dissapointing to see things on the new consoles not performing as well as expected, but hopefully once things are being programmed exclusively for the new consoles it won't be quite so bad. Unfortunately, it's become abundantly clear that the majority of game makers (and I guess by extension game purchasers) would rather have big explosions and pretty lighting effects as opposed to smooth frame rates and better resolutions.

All done! It's nice that some time in the back 1/3 of the game, my sorceries got powerful enough to kill invaders in one shot. That was very satisfying.

I've heard of a lot of people thinking of canceling. Demand for the WiiU seemed to be pretty crazy, but sales dropped like a rock. It'll be an interesting season certainly.

I think you over-estimate the demand for these things. I think they'll be on every store shelf come mid January, but I guess we'll see.

On another note, I noticed in that FAQ they finally announced how digital downloads are going to be licensed. You get to set one machine as your home console, and then games can be played there by anyone. You can also log into one other console at a time, and games can be played there as well. So basically, the same way the X360 does it, which is fine with me.

You have until the end of March to make good on your BF4 upgrade deal. I don't see any reason to rush into things. What I ended up doing is purchasing a PS3 (I didn't have one before) and now I'm saving up for some new computer parts. The only next-gen things that really grab me are Infamous and Titanfall, neither of which are going to be out for a while.

I agree, it is kinda BS. I'll check when I get home and see if I did any other gymnastics to get Bloodlines working.

Hmm, I find myself grabbing onto ledges when I don't want to a lot. The ghost got me yesterday because I was handing on a ledge and I thought I was sitting on the block below. I tried to run away, but he wouldn't let go and I paniced.

Were you running steam as an admin? Less that 15mb of memory makes me think that it doesn't have disk access. Edit: Yes, I realize that running Steam as an admin is a dumb solution, but I'm used to it because I play a lot of old games through Steam that don't cooperate very well with Windows file security.

Halloween party was a success, though it died fairly early compared to our usual shindigs. I think we had around 50 people total, maybe about 30 at one time.

I didn't have any problems that I can remember once I got the fan patches. What issues are you seeing?

It would be a tough disconnect that your hands on the screen wouldn't be matching your own movements.

*snicker* I had a couple of days off for my Halloween party. I ended up beating the DLC (including optional boss,) the catacombs (but not the tomb of giants quite yet,) and the painted world (but skipped the boss there.)
