Hmm, I didn't see Brothers on the PS+ deal list when I logged in last week, is there a specific date on that?

I may have just eaten the best* brisket of my entire life. *Moonshine may have something to do with this judgment call.

The taste was closed, I'm half a block south at the diller room.

The Elysian beers are pretty good, but the actual bar isn't all that hot. I'll check out the Pine Box, that sounds awesome.

Nice. That's always the best part of computing. Though I've got a good videocard but a crappy CPU, which kinda sucks.

I'm going out with a few friends at work to a fancy smancy place under the Seattle Art Museum called "The Taste." Not sure how long we'll be there or what the mood is going to be, but I'd be happy to either have you swing by now or head off somewhere after. I know some good places around Pike Place Market. No pressure to stick around or anything if things (or I) don't turn out to be your style. Edit: My super secret real life actual name is Derek btw. I will be wearing gray slacks, a white shirt, and perhaps a gray jacket.

I think the point of the statement is that it appears random to a human, but it's in fact very carefully mathmatically calculated. -
Got any places on Capitol Hill you recommend? I have a birthday coming up and we were planning on starting at Tavern Law and just walking around seeing what we find from there.

TresFX and some moodier lighting

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, I don't understand what benefit the manequin has. In places like my town, it wouldn't be a legal alternative to having a person standing there. In other places where there are no such rules, why have a manequin at all?

I'm working in Seattle right now. What brings you to our fair state?

You weren't in on the Kickstarter I guess? First expansion is free with that. You can always hit up the user created content, I hear that it's pretty top notch.

Hmm, might finally be time to get Enslaved.

My wife and I need to get back to watching Polar Bear Cafe. I think we're 20 or 30 episodes in.

At least around here, people are standing with signs because it's against city ordinance to have commercial signs posted on public property, so you're paying to have a sign placed where you normally couldn't. I have no idea why anyone would bother with a mannequin, they could just have a spinning motor on a stick.

In one of the later DS9 episodes, they have a Maurader Mo action figure that's dressed like that carrying the energy whip. I enjoyed the call back. Edit: By the way, that's Quark's actor up there on the right. Edit2: The Ferengi episodes are saved by Brunt, played be Jeffrey Combs who has quickly become my favorite occasional Star Trek actor. See him also as Weyoun in DS9 and Commander Shran in Enterprise, as well as a few minor parts here and there. If you really want to be mentally disturbed, watch him in Re-Animator. -
I think there was an "arcade" machine running this at my local Pizza joint where I grew up.

Is it wierd that I'm not interested in playing Episode 1 and 2 until Valve either releases Epsiode 3 (concluding the story,) or Half Life 3 (proving that they don't intend to conclude the story.)
-
I'd have to say I never really thought about this at all when playing the game. What is it that makes you think that?

Sisko and Bashir's acting in the first season were particularly atrocious, but they pick up the thread of their characters pretty quickly. Sisko ends up being one of the best reasons to watch the show. I see what you did there Enterprise was definitely on the up swing when it got canceled. I think it's really worth watching beginning to end, but if you're only going to watch a couple, I'd go with the dark mirror universe episodes "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part I and II." If you're in the mood to watch a whole arc, the last episode of the 2nd season sets up the premise for the whole third season, which I thought was mostly great (minus the crappy romance plot.) -
I'm pretty sure that ESPs can only be used once per matrix visit, but the jack-out/jack-in resets all of your ability cooldowns and ESP usage counts. I searched around for confirmation, but I'm not seeing anything out there about ESPs one way or the other.

I think you can resummon them once you go back in? It's been a while since I played the game but I know I made it through with my midling hacker skills by jacking in and out a lot.

Kill one guy, jack out, heal, repeat.

I'm glad you reminded me about this game.

I'm fairly certain that Dark Souls will ride Games for Windows Live all the way until it crashes in flaming wreckage. At this point, removing it would be a ton of work and I think they'd rather just make Dark Souls 2 multiplayer better rather than retrofit such a broken system. That being said, if you download and install the newest GFWL package from MS (not using the one packaged with the game) it's fairly stable.
