  1. I have to keep telling myself that I'll be playing Titanfall anyway and I can wait patiently for the PC version regardless of when it comes out. I'm still very tempted to run around town and try to find a copy on Tuesday.
  2. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

That kinda bites that you have easy ways to lower tendency to black (via dying over and over as a human) but only a few limited ways to get to white (killing black phantoms or ressurecting blue ones, neither of which I'm in the position to do very often.)vThankfully, I think I can still do the two things I want to do by beating the boss of 2-3 and 3-3 while offline, so I haven't blown that at least. At one point in the past, I saw that there was a world 1-4, so I just assumed that all the worlds had four levels. That not being true, combined with the final fight in each world being a fairly short level, means I'm closer to the end of this thing than I thought.
  3. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

Beat 5-1 today. I'm a bit confused on world tendency stuff. Right now, the online world tendencies are pretty close to white all the way across, but apparently one short of pure white in world 3. I'd like to shift that to white if I can, but I think the only way I can do it is to beat a boss, right? So if I run out of bosses, I'll never be able to get pure white? People talk about doing world tendency events offline, but how is that even possible with only 3 bosses available in the Tower of Latria?
  4. The Big LucasArts Playthrough

Sorry, for some reason I got my numbering mixed up and thought we were on MI2. Carry on.
  5. The Big LucasArts Playthrough

    Is that a spoiler?
  6. PC release date still unconfirmed, especially because the 25th is a Friday.
  7. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

In case it comes up again, once you've signed into the GFWL system on your machine, you get an offline profile just like on the Xbox. You'll have to exit out completely to the menu when you switch to offline though.

Being invaded can be pretty rough in Dark Souls as almost everyone who's doing that is running a pretty heavy duty PvP build. One option is to level up some more to hopefully get out of the prime PvP range in the area you're at. Summoned friendly phantoms can also fight invaders. Finally, if nothing else works, sprint for a place that will be easy to recover your souls and wait to die. Are you summoning NPCs to help you against Smough and Ornstein? If so, unplug your cable and play without internet for that bit.
  9. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

I told myself I wouldn't care if I wasted a boss soul since I figured there were a bunch of different boss soul weapons I'd like (I think there were 3 or 4 in Dark Souls) but there's pretty much only one that scales well with strength, and it also scales with faith as well, which makes it pretty much perfect for my character. I'm still really bummed out about the whole thing. I haven't really found a weapon in the game so far that I like, and to miss one that's perfect and that I already had all the components for really sucks. As for Dark Souls 2, I'm still going to wait for the PC version and play Titanfall instead in the meantime. I expect it will take me about that long to beat Demon's Souls anyway, and I might even go back for a NG+ run to try out the cleaver I missed on the first time through. Edit: It looks like my weapon options for this playthrough are pretty much narrowed down to the Dragon Bone Smasher, The Large Sword of Moonlight, or a Great Sword/Great Axe. If I want to change up styles back toward my old Dark Souls character, I could go for the Blueblood Sword I guess, or the Large Sword of Searching if I'm feeling wierd.
  10. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

I've now beaten up to 1-2, 2-2, 3-2, and 4-1 I, unfortunately, didn't look up what the boss souls did before grabbing the regeneration miracle. Regen isn't that good, and the boss weapon that's made with that soul is pretty much the only one on the list I'm interested in. : (
  11. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

If it makes you feel any better, even after reading your story I fell for this as well.
  12. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

2-1 beaten. Man, that enchanted sword that the GB guys have made this a ton easier for them. Not that the level was super hard for me, but the boss itself was crazy. I ended up just buying 80 crossbow bolts and cheesing it that way since I didn't have any offensive spells to use.
  13. The Yawhg

The thumbs play through is archived on their twitch screen and it shows what a multiplayer game is like. Basically, it's a lot like playing a board game where you pick a location each day, get an event there, and your stats and decisions influence the outcome of the event. Adding more people to that is easy, you just all take turns moving around the "board."
  14. The Pokemon bank supports those games, doesn't it?
  15. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

I made it most of the way through 3-2 tonight, but I just can't afford to fight those guys down in the swamp that break your armor in two shots. The repair cost of my armor is about 450 per piece, which is a bit extravigant for me right now. I think I'm going to go back to 2-1 since that's where the GB playthrough is and I don't want to be spoiled.
  16. Unity Questions Thread

I'm not looking at creating and destroying them during the course of the game, they will be static for each play through, and I'm planning on having a lot of them, so I think I'm going to avoid the prefab way of doing things. I think I can play around with Enums and Classes and build this in a way that makes a little more sense. Thanks for that article ATSP. I'll finish reading it when I get home from work.
  17. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

Last night, I beat the boss of 3-1 in Demon's Souls. I get the feeling that I'm doing this in a very bizzare order (1-1, 1-2, 3-1) compared to how most would recommend it. It's certainly been nuts hard with my paladin build, but I finally got the hang of doing backstabs as I would have been completely unable to get anywhere in 3-1 without them. I lost my first big batch of souls (around 8k) as well, so that's a relief of a sort. As an added assist, I've also been watching the GB Demon's Souls play though. I'm mainly just listening to the misery and trying not to get spoiled too much, but it's been a nice stress relief when I started to slide into the repeated death pit.
  18. Unity Questions Thread

Interesting. I'll have to read it all again while I'm sitting in front of Unity. It's been a while since I worked with Enums and Classes in that way. I'm a bit rusty. The point (in my mind at least) of putting all the different commodities in an array was the ability to iterate through them with a for loop for the planet to planet trading. Each planet has an individual 2d array that contains six variables (Current Price, Base Price, Stock, Production, Storage, Shipping Capacity) for seven different commodities. In order to do what you're talking about Forbin, I'd have to have one class for each commodity, and then each planet with 7 different classes, right? Or a class of classes I guess. Edit: Rather than using an Enum, I fell back on my old QBasic habit of having a bunch of Static Variables so I could access the array by using something like "items[food, price]" so it's not horribly clunky to work with, just doing the initial setup is a pain.
  19. I Had A Random Thought...

It's kind of Poker plus Gin Rummy.
  20. Amateur Game Making Night

I can barely get a one.
  21. Bioshock Finite: Irrational Games shuts down

I'd like to think that the studio was going to be canned either way, and Levine found a way to help at least 15 of them keep their jobs, and that the press release was written by 2K and shoved down his throat. I don't know if it's true, but I'd like to think it was that way.
  22. Nintendo 3DS

I'm not sure if I posted this here, but I beat Rune Factory 4 for the second time. Apparently there's still a third story arc, I haven't gotten married yet, and I have a ways to go before I finish all the of the requests. There's well over $40 worth of content here, well worth it if you're a fan of Harvest Moon with a little action RPG in there.
  23. Titanfall

Personally, I buy cheap (but sturdy) and then replace it once a year. I like this guy that I've got now http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-920-002478-Keyboard-K120/dp/B003ELVLKU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1393276575&sr=8-5&keywords=logitech+keyboard
