David Lynch's Josh Brolin's Campo Santo's Fire Watch With Me: A Motion Picture Event
Dewar replied to TychoCelchuuu's topic in Video Gaming
Maybe center it on the starting montage, and have the national forest bit only 30 minutes or so? -
Oooh, nice, I'll have to look into Clockwork Empires then.

Two cars holding hands on a beach, a loving look shared between them (Forza Horizon 3)
Dewar replied to Vulpes Absurda's topic in Video Gaming
My biggest complaint so far is how perfectly the CPU can hold their car in line while going over all these jumps, while I can barely keep in control. Then I picked the Outback for my first expansion because of framerate issues, without realizing those races would have even more jumps Edit: One crash on PC, but my surround sound headset is only playing in Stereo, which drives me more nuts than i thought it would. My CPU (2 year old i5) definitely maxes out when I'm getting anywhere near the city, which kinda sucks. -
Working at a financial company, I get bombarded by conservative media all day, but I'm starting to get a sinking feeling that this election is going to be a lot closer than I'd like.

I played a lot of Castles when I was younger, had a harder time getting into Castles 2. It certainly has an ant-farm feeling. There is violence, but it's largely non-participatory (you set up you armies, hit go, and then don't really have control after that.)

New Nvidia drivers force a restart on a 60 second timer, no option to cancel, so that's great.

Two cars holding hands on a beach, a loving look shared between them (Forza Horizon 3)

When Danny O'Dwyer was streaming it he noticed that the CPU was being hit pretty hard to the point that streaming software was choking. I remember hearing somewhere that there's a patch in the works to help out the CPU, but I don't remember where. -
As a person who only recently bailed from Windows Phone and got an Android device, I finally got a chance to fiddle with this a bit. Given that all the gyms around be have about 2000 strength pokemon on them, there really isn't anything for me to do besides Pokestops and capturing Pokemon, right? Nothing to fight at my level at all? Also, tutorialization in this game is really bad.

Yeah, the thread has wandered a bit. My comment was to plasticflesh, not Rilen.

Wandering the Vice.com website today, i came across this article (and regular column) on depression that I found to be very like my own experience, though more severe than I have had to deal with. I thought it might be worth posting, just in case. http://www.vice.com/read/so-sad-today-acceptance-depression-anxiety

Hmm, i wonder if I can make space in my place for a Vive.

PC version looks mostly fine? http://kotaku.com/forza-horizon-3-plays-well-on-pc-1786996386 -
If you're looking into Animal Crossing, you could take a shot at Stardew Valley. That's out on PC and has vibes of both Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon.

It used to say it requires the Anniversary update on the store page, I assume that's still the case, and the upgrade process isn't trivial. You might want to update early if you haven't already. Also, the store app in Win10 refuses to detect my memory, so it initially wouldn't let me buy it because I didn't have the 4gb minimum requirement. I assume that's why the requirements just say Win10 now with no other details. Edit: While I have played a lot of Forza games, this will be my first Forza horizon. I was really into Test Drive Unlimited, sp I'm looking forward to it, and I'm hoping the fact that I can play it either on my TV or Monitor will help me not drop it after a few days like Forza 6. -
Looking forward to seeing the GB video of this. The description had me until 3v3 turn based combat.

There are color settings in the NVidia/ATI control panel that could be messed up I guess. Do you have an old junk monitor around (or TV I guess) you could hook up and see if it does the same thing? I've never seen anything quite like that.

Those were originally streamed on https://www.twitch.tv/patriciaxhx I believe. I see the finale listed in the highlights section, but that's it : (

Official Giant Bomb Thread Mostly for Complaining About Dan
Dewar replied to tegan's topic in Idle Banter
Enjoying the Shenmue Endurance run, but man that game is really bad. Dan keeps saying it was good for its time, but I'd rather play something like Myst that came out years earlier.- 1367 replies

A Dedicated Thread For Talking About Star Trek Episodes
Dewar replied to BigJKO's topic in Movies & Television
There are bits in the junk episodes of the first season or two that pay off later, but I don't begrudge anyone skipping them. I would say DS9 gets off the ground a lot faster than any other sci-fi show I've watched, and I'm glad that folks are watching them all. If I didn't watch so many streams, and have so many new things I want to watch, maybe I'd have a chance to re-watch as well. -
In your quest to make controls simple for the player and not have them have to deal with camera positioning, have you considered having a hybrid model where those who want camera control can turn it on in an option menu, or hit a button to take over the camera?
