  1. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

i wonder how GMG can afford giving all this stuff away at a discount.
  2. Assassins Creed Unity

Wow, Ubisoft almost got me with the marketing. I should have known better.
  3. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

Wait, I don't understand that badger character model. Is that hair, or tentacles? Where does her head end and the various attachments begin?
  4. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

I have gotten a Steam key immediately every time I've ordered from GMG. I also have never ordered anything intended for Origin. Hmm, Football Manager 2015 is still on the VIP page.
  5. Just Cause 3

Hmm, that reminds me that I need to play some more JC2 since I bought it for the multiplayer mod and then barely touched it.
  6. Assassins Creed Unity

Can you re-post those tweets? Twitter is blocked at work and I'm dying to know.
  7. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

Hmm, I didn't know about the multiplayer. That sounds interesting.
  8. Assassins Creed Unity

Ouch, sounds like I'm glad that I didn't get that Xbox bundle.
  9. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

Nintendo games pretty much never drop in price.
  10. iOS Gaming

That's when the text is most important because it's trying to screw you with every last roadblock it has.
  11. Speaking of bad UI, Total Extreme Wrestling is really tough to understand, but I've had my fun with it over the years. It's pretty much exactly what you think it is. If you're really curious about it you can pick up a demo at http://www.greydogsoftware.com/downloads.php?id=97 Reasons for not pulling the trigger on Football Manager include: 1) Knowing about enough the sport of soccer to be dangerous, but still have a lot of the terminology go over my head 2) Knowing absolutely nothing about the business of soccer 3) Fear of another huge timesink in my life 4) Considering just buying FIFA 2015 for the same price and getting a game I can play as well as manage
  12. Sunset Overdrive

Watching the Giant Bomb Quicklook, it struck me that they were talking about how much they liked the game, when nothing they were showing looked remotely interesting. *shrug* Maybe I'm just done with shooters. None of the big shooter releases lately have grabbed me.
  13. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

Here's an article about her campaign from a reputable source at least. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-intersect/wp/2014/11/04/a-female-politician-is-running-for-office-on-the-gamergate-platform/ Sounds like she was fed a few biased documents and didn't know what she was jumping into, then just decided to ride the wave.
  14. Intoxicated:

Not hung over but had a bad night last night. I too tried a nice bistro burger thinking the protein would pep me up. Not great.
  15. Crikey, It's Christmas (2014)!

I'm a bit late commenting on this, but Secret Santa at my last forum was a blast and I'd happily do it here. My advice would be to cut out as many of the choices as possible as it can be difficult enough to manage without having to take location and digital vs. physical goods into account. After the first year we basically just said "you get who you get, make do by shopping in Amazon for that country or sending something digital if necessary." Though I guess or non-US contingent was mostly just Canada, so the cost wasn't that much more.
  16. Fantasy Finale XV

I guess that depends on who you put in your party.
  17. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

Well yeah, but that just comes back to the crux of the argument with GG. "If you don't like it, don't read it" doesn't seem to be acceptable to them.
  18. Fantasy Finale XV

Isn't the road trip thing what the first half of pretty much every FF game has been in function if not in name? I mean you go to a city, fight the monster/explore the dungeon/rescue folks, then get directed to the next city along the line and do it again.
  19. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

I understand the point they're trying to make. It frustrates me at times when I see a FIFA 2015 review by a person who doesn't understand Soccer for instance, or a Final Fantasy review by someone who hates JRPGs. Giant Bomb in particular is guilty of this, but I kinda know what I'm going to get now when I tune into one of their sports game videos. Making it a blanket rule, however, is silly because there is some use in seeing how a person who doesn't understand soccer might interact with the FIFA new user experience. Also, it's obvious that my example isn't what they're targeting with that statement. Still, if it really went both ways and they'd have to shut up about Gone Home, it might be a fair trade.
  20. Assassins Creed Unity

I already refused to purchase Ubisoft games on through Steam due to having to have UPlay installed as well, so no change for me.
  21. Hmm, doesn't look like out-right theft, but it's pretty dang close.
  22. anime

Now they just need to learn to wait until the Manga is over and then do it in one shot.
  23. A long time ago, when I was but a lad, I put a ton of time into Baseball Mogul and Hollywood Mogul, as well as playing through tons of NCAA football seasons doing simulation only. In especially dark times in my past, I have also been known to simulate fake wrestling in Total Extreme Wrestling games by Grey Dog Software. I'm all about the simulation games. Football Manager has had my interest for a long time, but I've had a hard time pulling the trigger for some reason.
  24. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

Wow, that is quality right there.
  25. Maybe have time as a resource like money and then each task has a set time cost?
