Dota 2 - Winter Major - Shanghai for the Dota Guy
Oskar replied to Reyturner's topic in Video Gaming
As a massive fan of the old cloud9 lineup this tournament is looking so good. Seeing EG being set to the lowerbracket by Secret was such a delight not to mention the lower bracket upsets. Definitely the best day of the tournament so far. -
Maybe the new Guitar Hero could have a tutorial level were the fmv setting is one of an internal disney coprorate event. There would be no you suck signs, only polite applause.

Idle Thumbs 159: Wilson's Ghoulish Countenance
Oskar replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
as someone who is really into Tf2 seeing those items deleted on stream would be amazing. Me and a whole lot of other tf2 nerds would probably be willing to donate to a charity or something to get to see this. Deleting those items would be the most horrific act imaginable in the steam universe, the biggest sin of them all, please for the love of gaben do it. -
I disagree with Brads opinion about the axe all chat taunt not being in good taste. I really dont feel like that is intended to be mean or make the enemy team mad. A while back me and my firends got blown up by a perfect earth shaker ult and then earth shaker player typed something along the lines of SLAMMIT witch really amused me and my friends even if that ult made the game a lot harder for us, by sharing his excitement of that awesome ult the excitement kinda slipped over on one self even if we were on the receiving end and It gave the feeling of fuck yeah that was awesome now I wanna play earth shaker and blow up people and write in all caps too.

This is kinda different from Animal Crossing but what I do to relax and clear my mind is to play surf maps in Source games (mostly TF2 and CS:GO). You just have to play maps that are easy enough so that it doesn't get frustrating. Whilst surfing might not be completely intuitive unless you are familiar with things such as bhopping or strafejumping you should be able to pick it up within 5 to 30 min and if it doesn't click with you instantly take a break and come back after a couple of days and you might have magically become a decent surfer, (that's what happened to me atleast). A good map to start on would be surf_utopia, the map is both easy, challenging and fun for a beginner. Here is are links for you those of you who have never heard of surfing andhttp://teamfortress.com/wiki/Surfing Anyways surfing can be meditative and very satisfying, plus you can listen to podcasts while doing it!
