  1. Idle Sugar

Any non-Scandinavians I run into are immediately subjected to the wonder that is Djungelvrål. If you ever have to chance to sample it, please do.
  2. Cartoons!

    Good stuff.
  3. Half-Life 3

  4. I think it's largely because the Giant Bomb staff rarely broach these kinds of subjects in their usual output. It happens, as in Austin's or Patrick's articles or the odd answer in a Q&A. Mostly it's just them playing video games and saying what they think about them or just goofing around. This attracts all the people who "just want the gaming press to focus on games", unlike sites like Polygon who drive these people away with a very clear message against this sort of stuff.
  5. Turns out it's pretty good for blind people. The instance where I saw it used seemed to go fairly well, although there was a little repetition involved.
  6. Other podcasts

Dungeon World is great. One of the designers runs a couple of streamed games for Rollplay and Roll20.net if you want to check to check him out. His name is Adam Koebel.
  7. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

NPR introduced me to the Belgian singer Stromae in their SXSW coverage, describing him as the "most famous artist no-one in NA knows". Personally I had no idea who he was either, although I had heard his previous hit in Sweden "Alors on danse" about 4-5 years back. Turns out he's actually quite good.
  8. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

It could be argued that Doom is very much about movement.
  9. The Great Co-op Thread

I own Obscure, but unfortunately do not have anyone to play it with
  10. Myst-a-likes?

Hello everybody! I am in need of some assistance in locating some good games that resemble Myst and Riven. The reason for this search is that my mother's birthday is coming up, and the Myst-series were the only games she ever had any interest in. She would talk about them excitedly and rushed to the computer whenever she thought she had figured out a puzzle she had gotten stuck on. I also remember how much fun it was sitting by her, exploring these strange, eerily empty worlds together even if the puzzles were often way over my young little mind. So, I would like to see if I could find her a new game along these lines as a small extra gift for her birthday. Do you guys know of any similar titles? Are the later games in the Myst-series any good?

Hear, hear. I definitely think that showing that you care is important. I'm not sure what to say to the guy though, as I seem to be stuck in the same kind of pattern as he is. For me, just having someone to act as a kind of "bollplank"(as we say in Swedish), to bounce ideas off of feels like something that might help me figure out my path a bit more clearly. However, I can also see that falling into the same kind of situation he's had with his mum where the first best thing that gets mentioned is the one that is selected, so watch out for that if you go that route. Also... Mangela, that just sounds bonkers.
  12. Fast Food for sure, can't stand the stuff. However, soda still tastes great to me the very few instances when I drink it. Fanta especially tastes fantastic to me. The change I noticed however, was that the craving disappeared and that it was just a lot easier to stay away from it the longer I didn't drink it.
  13. The threat of Big Dog

Google's chat bot is not ashamed of being a philosoper. http://uk.businessinsider.com/google-tests-new-artificial-intelligence-chatbot-2015-6?r=US#ixzz3eLX4VsKk
  14. I just listened to the Campo Santo/Just cause interview from E3 again. Steve and Sean are just adorable together in that video. "Steven... You just did a bad."
  15. We need to talk about race

No, we are perfect and just and nothing bad ever happens here. Edit: But yeah, of course there are problems here as well. An anti-immigrant party is becoming bigger and bigger every time there is a new poll (I think the last one showed them at 18% making them the third-largest party). This week there was the third attempted arson at a building site of a new location for asylum seekers. Also it has started to feel as if every time there is a murder, people are very quick to assume the perpetrator is foreign.
  16. Myst-a-likes?

I had completely forgot about Obduction! Has there been any news about a release date?
  17. That trailer made me so excited for the game! It's definitely on my list as of this moment.
  18. Guild Wars 2

Hmm, ok. I don't know, but there was something very special about the King of the Hill-structure of the Hall of Heroes that really sold me on that format. It's the only competitive multiplayer I ever poured any effort what-so-ever into (Though the few GvG bouts I was involved in were fun as well). I wonder if it was something as simple as the progression from one map to the next that made it so cool at the time... That every game you and your team emerged victorious from was so clearly marked as progress toward the PvP map that only the best got to see. I remember it being so cool... Until IWAY became a thing and I fell so far behind in Fame that I could not find any teams anymore. Which kind of sucked
  19. Guild Wars 2

Is there some kind of Hall of Heroes equivalent in this? I find that part of GW 1 being what I think about most these days.
  20. Only finished ME2 and didn't have a relationship with anybody. The closest I got was the Yeoman, Kelly, but made the choice to "wait" until the conflict was over.
