I really recommend Guild Hall! http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/132372/guildhall It's a card game where you are trying to complete sets of proffesions in your Guild Hall. To complete a profession you need to place 5 versions of that profession card into your guild hall, one of each color. Once a set is completed it can later be used to purchase victory point cards, which constitute the winning condition. Each profession card has a effect that is activated when it is brought into play, which is improved depending on how many instances of that card you already have in your Guild Hall. If a player plays the "Dancer" card for instance, s/he will be allowed to draw as many cards into his/her hand as s/he has Dancer cards in his/her Guild Hall. Combining the different effects from the cards in order to reach victory(!) is quite fun, and there are quite a few ways to annoy other players. I think we may have played with the expansion though, which adds a few more professions to the mix.

Choosing to Choose, except it is you who have been Chosen, in this new BioWare game.

How so? -
Unfortunately, the only platform I have access to at my current location is a PC! I guess any further testing plans are not announced yet?

The problem with our group was not that people were "role-playing" too much. It was the opposite. People just seemed generally disinterested or just confused as to what they were actually supposed to be doing. We basically didn't get past the "first round problem" as you call it until at least three or four people had already been killed. I suppose that this could be attributed to factors such as group size and the players came from two or three different groups of friends who did not know all of the other players very well, if at all, but it sort of killed this kind of game for me. At least the more free-form camp fire version.

So it is not total shite then? I suppose the best thing to do for me is to give it a fair shot. I've mostly enjoyed Bungies offerings so far, with ODST being the peak, and from your comments here it sounds to be at least far enough removed from the shooting mechanics in Borderlands 2 that I might actually enjoy it. Do they have any more public test coming up or do I need to actually purchase the game before being able to try it out?

The "Kyoto Arc" as you call it is definitely the best part of the show, and I was bummed that it never returned to that after the Soul Society arc ended. With that said, I still quite enjoyed that arc. The rest though were fairly shite with a few rays of sunshine in between.

The more I hear about Destiny the more convinced I become that it is a game that comes very close to something I would enjoy, only to deviate enough in a couple of areas to make it miss the mark. The variable damage outputs for the "same" guns and bullet-sponge enemies that Mr. Rem(o) spoke of is what turned me off of Borderlands combat, and I'm quite wary of it in this game as well. I just dislike situations where you've pumped three or four full magazines into a humanoid enemy and they've got half a health-bar left. Especially if, as the case often is in Borderlands, the ammunition for your gun is explosive!

Haha, that's great! Like SAM I used to play Mafia sometimes in my teens, but it was mostly a bust since people often never really got into it. They would just sit around and go "I'll vote for this person to die, I guess". Having a bit more structure as in these games would go a long way to cure that I feel, especially having a character that wants to die That'll make things a lot more interesting!

Help me forget about Olly Moss and move on with my life

0 posts?! What is this sorcery? -
Well, that one pretty much describes me I think, even if the situations are not entirely the same. Thanks for that link. Will have to ponder that a bit.

I guess it actually is iconic!
-
Also, Valve (or Steam, really) tends to remove tags that can somehow be interpreted as negative toward the game. Baby Game might be seen as one such tag.

Was it the ACTUAL iconic cap?

Yeah, Scrooge is great! I would say that the Duck family (Donald, Scrooge, Daisy(Called Kajsa in Sweden, not sure about the English name) and the nephews) is far more popular in Sweden than Mickey Mouse or the other "main" Disney characters.

Cool! I've been thinking about going on a solo-trip myself actually. Do you tend to stay at hostels or are you doing the couch-surfing thing? Do you have any places you recommend to visit?

I'm going to add in a few Swedish idioms to the mix here: - Response to a failed attempt at deception: "That (old) man doesn't walk/work!" (Den gubben går inte!) - Sensing that something isn't as it appears to be, sensing danger: "Sensing owls in the moss" (Ana ugglor i mossen) or alternatively "There is a dog buried here" (Här ligger en hund begraven) - Used when pointing out a decisive detail or point to something: "The beauty in the crow's song" (Det fina i kråksången) - Taking possession of an item, often illegally.: "Putting rhubarbs on something" (Lägga rabarber på något) The use of "rhubarb" seems to come from Swedes confusing the Spanish term Embargo (To seize something) with Embargar (To arrest someone) and the latter word sounding sort of similar to the Swedish word for rhubarb "Rabarber". - Being inspired to continue a new activity, usually after initial success: "Get bloodied teeth" (Få blodad tand) - Having it extraordinarily easy, riding on other peoples work: "Sliding in on a shrimp-sandwich" (Glida in på en räkmacka) Edit: Now also in Swedish! (Nu även på Svenska!)

I used to be into Formula 1 a bit when I was younger. Around '97 I believe, when my favourite driver Jaques Villeneuve won the championship. A year or so later my interest waned (largely because they stopped broadcasting the races on the public channels here). I've tried watching it a few times since but have had a hard time getting back into it though, not really gotten hooked again. Working at a studio that makes motorsport games have however gotten me into other series such as the german "DTM" series, where I constantly get upset that Timo Glock never can keep his high positions on the final lap.

Is it an iconic cap? -
Same here Can't be too mad at the Kings winning when they're playing as well as they are, but it is shame the Sharks couldn't take advantage of the 3-0 series lead they had.

Question is how big of a remaster this will be? Has there been any mention if this is just basically a compatability patch?

In my local store there's like three different brands of which there is only one which is "just peanuts". The most common one is a brand called "Skippy" which is fine, but does contain quite a few extra ingredients.

I am so jelly. Most of the Swedish peanut butter repertoire is bullshit. Tasty, but still bullshit.
