  1. Idle Thumbs 266: Memeify McCree

Episode description this week is incredible.
  2. [DevLog] Gravity Wolf / Dino's Side Project Circus

50/50 is actually quite a good result as far as greenlight goes.
  3. Yeah, it's a legit strategy in some situations which is pretty amusing.
  4. [RELEASE] Button Frenzy

Hey folks. I've been meaning to write one of these threads for a little while so here goes. I'm making a game inspired by the gameplay loop of old-school Simon toys, and the universal ritual of inputting video game cheat codes using a controller. It's a fast-paced score-attack game whereby the player has to watch a randomly generated button sequence and then repeat it under a strict time limit. Enter in sequences quickly and you'll score more points and rack up a score multiplier. As the game continues it gets faster and more difficult. Think WarioWare in terms of basic structure and pace, and you're not too far off. Diversifiers used: "It's a Baby Game" Super Briefly UPDATE Play it here: http://itch.io/jam/winter-wizard-jam/rate/45593 Another update: This game is now on Steam Greenlight! I decided to keep working on it and make it into a full thing. I just launched the Greenlight page a few minutes ago and I'm pretty terrified! The page is here, if you're interested: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=576631024
  5. [RELEASE] Button Frenzy

Bumping this old old thread to say that this game has a Steam store page now! http://store.steampowered.com/app/454630
  6. [RELEASE] Explode Mode

Thanks for playing and all the nice comments everyone!!! @phill: This is so entertaining to watch! It's cool to watch someone else play with fresh eyes. Sorry you had issues with falling through the floor; I thought I had fixed that!! @Ben X: Thanks for playing Ben! I seem to be physically unable to make games that are not difficult, and I realised this towards the end of the jam. @Spenny + @dibs: Yeah the controls are really difficult to get the hang of. Perhaps rotating the camera with the player would have helped with orientation somewhat? Or perhaps just making it clearer which way was forward on the tank would help? Anyway, thanks for the feedback
  7. Idle Thumbs 265: A Chill Hell

    Danielle!!!! What a nice surprise.
  8. Idle Thumbs Streams

Is it even possible to share contracts or search for them?
  9. WIZARD JAM 2016 // Welcome Thread

Comments in devlog threads are preferred I think.
  10. Idle Thumbs Streams

That one is good! I love that golf ball.
  11. Idle Thumbs Streams

I think it's in a safe or locked box, unless I'm completely misremembering?
  12. [DevLog] Gravity Wolf / Dino's Side Project Circus

Congrats on getting through Greenlight Dino!!!
  13. Hitman: Steve Gaynor Edition

    What a neat touch!
  14. Hitman: Steve Gaynor Edition

No, there's one you can unlock in Paris and bring to Sapienza. The unlocks aren't restricted to the level you unlock them on.
  15. The amount of currency you get from a dupe is very small though! If you're only getting 5-15 credits for each dupe, it's gonna take you a while to get that 1000 credit skin you want.
  16. I guess also as you level up more and more, the likelihood of getting a dupe also gets higher.
  17. The key to Roadhog (in my experience) is positioning and drinking your juice at the right moments. You're at your strongest when you can pull someone into a secluded area where they don't have support from their team. Your primary fire has a very short range, so if you're shooting at anything farther than arm's length, use the secondary fire. If you get caught in a high-damage ability that you know you can't run away from, stop and drink your juice and a lot of the time you can negate the damage.
  18. [Release] Dead Letters

Cool! I just replied to your PM.
  19. Next year, someone will inevitably make "A Very Pretty Pipe Dream" and it will be completely different from the Build the Nublar you guys made. Looking forward to that.
  20. Hitman: Steve Gaynor Edition

I think that's a typo and is supposed to say souks, but I found it amusing.
  21. Eek. I always forget how expensive consoles are.
  22. Hitman: Steve Gaynor Edition

Episode 3 (Marrakesh) comes out on the 31st; next Tuesday!
  23. I'm not sure there is a lower priced version for the PS4. I think that's just the price of the game.
  24. You might find some of the classes that are less shooting-focused fun; and there are a few classes whose primary focus is to support the team in other ways too. Sadly there's no real equivalent of the Spy though (he was my favourite class in TF2 as well, mainly stemming from the same reason).
  25. I think it depends on what you didn't like about TF2. The game is very similar at its core, so if you didn't like the whole format of a class-based FPS with objective-based maps then you probably won't like Overwatch either. But if it's something more peripheral, then maybe you will.
