Okay, so when New Super Mario Bros. Wii came out and it had two Toads instead of Peach, Nintendo said that it was due to tech issues, and I was a little bummed, but accepted it. After all, having a Yellow Toad isn't really that lazy when you consider that Luigi is basically just Green Mario. Then New Super Mario Bros. U came out and Peach still wasn't playable, and I was like "what the hell; you found the time to build an entire additional console but couldn't fix Peach's skirt so she could be in it this time?" but didn't care that much, because I had Nintendo Land for my Wii U game anyway. And now we hear Iwata ask about New Super Luigi U's multiplayer. What the hell? Three Toads? She didn't even cross their minds?! I am going to play as Peach in every single level of Super Mario 3D World out of sheer spite.

Streetpass is the secret best feature of the system. Certain games also unlock content via Streetpass (ie: Super Mario 3D Land lets you recieve powerups and Star Coin rooms as gifts, Animal Crossing lets you visit a passerby's house and order their furniture, etc).

Olimar is confirmed to be returning, although only the first five types of Pikmin are shown accompanying him. So excited.

So the new Streetpass features hit North America! I bought the haunted house game. It's cooool. Also, the framerate is noticeably better now, which is a nice bonus.

I am nostalgic as hell for this: And this is an allegedly terrible Tetris port that I've never played, but has by far the best music of any Tetris game.

I like how "frag" went from an actual word with a specific meaning to a generic kill. "Nuzlocke" refers to a very specifically self-imposed challenge in Pokémon and originates from a character from the comic strip that chronicled the original Nuzlocke run, who appeared only once before being killed off. I only bring it up because that is baffling to me.

Although I find the game to be borderline impenetrable for the very same reasons I admire it; I've always loved that Majora's Mask, a Zelda game of all things, goes into borderline roguelike territory with its mechanics and themes Having not only the knowledge that Link will not succeed in saving the world in whatever his current iteration is (until the end of the game, of course), but a constant visual reminder of the fact by having a giant grimacing moon looming over you for literally the entire game threatening Termina's destruction is easily the most ingenious and artistic visual metaphor in the whole series.

Last night I dreamed that Ryan Davis had faked his own death as a joke. Waking up was a pretty horrible feeling. I also keep having nightmares about my high school bullies. Ugh, worst.

Very poor choice of words on my part; but admit it: you're a total backseat open-heart surgeon. Also, the whole stream made me really want to play Trauma Center again. My uncle bought a Wii years ago and I let him try my copy of Second Opinion. As a very intelligent, compassionate person in his fourties; he would painstakingly suture every wound as though he were actually performing surgery and ended up losing because his patient would die before he finished sewing them up. He was totally appalled when I showed him how to play and made a split-second halfhazard zigzag with the suture every time.

If I were Jake, I would be ready to beat Sean to death by the end of the stream.

So this is really surreal to listen to now.

I keep catching scorpions, but the only tarantula I've seen in the past two days just faded away before I could do anything. My bug encyclopedia is at 80% now and I really don't want to have to wait until next year to get that stupid overstuffed spider.

I had a 2x2 space on the cliff by the sea, so I figured I'd build a public works project. I set up a water well and invested 50,000 bells; and then FIVE MINUTES LATER a villager walks to that spot and tells me we need a lighthouse. arglebargle
