Monopoly gets way better if you play by the actual rules that nobody ever reads.

I don't remember any of it now, but I was one of the many kids who inadvertently learned to read braille from Pokémon Ruby.

It took me ages, the beads I attached to the drawstrings fell off, and I couldn't find proper fabric like I wanted, but I sewed a thing. I'd really like to get some nice fabric and redo it, but better. I also sort of wish I had a sewing machine.

Every time this thread gets revived, I die a little. This is my Half-Life 3. -
Advance Wars (Game Boy Advance; released September 10th, 2001) "This first-ever English translation of the long-running Famicom Wars series has the most unfortunate release date of any Nintendo game ever released."

Those were two separate items. Sorry. Here's what I got, altogether: It's a little blurry, sorry. Pictured: very small Lego Ninja Turtles set with Krang, a missile launcher thing, and a bench with some decoy turtles for target practice blind-bagged Lego minifig (cool Blacktron robot thing) Pokémon TCG Genesect deck (you can see the deckbox on the right and can sort of see the shiny purple Genesect coin in the middle) Pokémon TCG "Elite Trainer Box," which is like an MTG fat pack. It came with 40 Energy cards, eight booster packs, a bunch of dice for use as damage counters, 65 card sleeves (I have one standing up so you can see the nice Genesect design on the back), a couple of acrylic markers for Poison/Burn status, and a nice big card box with 4 dividers. By an astonishing coincidence, I got 2 Genesects in the booster packs, so I made a custom deck with all my new cards themed around my four Genesects. The Pokémon TCG also gives you download codes with the cards, so after today's server maintenance ends I'm gonna' go on and redeem my codes for 140 digital cards. I started playing this game again recently because I am a dumb idiot dumb butt.

I missed the mail this morning. I'll have to get my package later. Instead I went to the mall and bought Lego and Pokémon cards. I am an adult.

Totes. It's been a very slow drip. Still no word on when N64 or GBA games will hit.

Tomorrow is my birthday. I'm a little nervous and I feel old. I have a gift coming in the mail tomorrow from a Secret Santa thing I'm doing on another forum. That means waiting out in the cold for the mail again, but it also means that I will have a real actual surprise birthday gift on my birthday for the first time in years. Should I buy myself something? Pokémon cards? Should I get cake?

Is this still the pinnacle of ragequitting? Confession: there was a time when I used to chew on Gamecube controllers out of frustration. Now I'm super chill though.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS

You can use the gamepad as a separate screen while playing Wii games now. As in, you still have to use a Wii remote to actually play, but you can use the gamepad for the picture and sensor bar. -
IIRC, GTA didn't add the ability to restart a mission from within the mission itself until after Hit & Run did it.

I hope that Hunter Simmons makes an account to say how he never gave up hope that his letter would get read. EDIT: Oh hey, Jake's getting a Wii U. Add me for exciting insights into Super Metroid.

GTA didn't let you skip missions by failing them before? It always weirds me out that bizarrely good GTA knockoff The Simpsons Hit & Run has a bunch of usability features like that that GTA only added after it came out.

He got his face skinned in Arkham Asylum a while back, recovered it a year later, and now he's wearing it stapled onto the musculature beneath.

Consider the fact that of the six most commonly-used letters (R, S, T, L, N, and E), four of them reside in the second half of the alphabet. Three out of six vowels can also be found in the latter half.

It's probably counterproductive to their goal of making it as cheap as possible. Or at least Gamecube support is. Online support was probably dropped because online support for the Wii itself is fading away. -
My mom sent me an email again saying she has another savings bond for me. It's my birthday this week, so that's probably got something to do with it. I wouldn't really need the money so bad and I don't want to meet with her again, but I'm considering seeing if I can finagle back a few possessions I left behind when I left home (namely: my rather valuable Lego and Pokémon card collections and a beloved plush toy). I know that's a stupid thing to obsess over, but still...

Even without proper context, Ace Attorney successfully conveyed its message of "the Japanese legal system is fucking broken as hell." 99% conviction rate, no juries, and one of the most successful and prominent defense attorneys in Japan has only had 5 wins in a 25 year career. For extra credit, look up the infamous case of Issei Sagawa.
