Reviving this because I had the perfect idea: a Vanillaware Redwall game. Painterly forest landscapes, medieval battles, and acres of food porn. They're made for each other.

It does pressure sensitivity really well; and yes, it can do watercolours, though I haven't fooled around with that yet. I'm actually mostly using this set of custom brushes, and there's a lot of brush tweaks available, so presumably someone could make a good watercolour brush set if it doesn't exist already.

I just got Manga Studio 5 and an excellent brush pack, and to test it out, I sketched... something besides a video game.

I'll admit that I'm not really all that surprised that super hardcore fans of Mega Man, which has had a total of two female characters across ten core games, turned out to be kind of super sexist.

I'm installing something from a physical CD that I put inside of my computer. so weird.

I think they mean the dungeons and buildings and stuff themselves rather than the portals, which do totally have random slits in the walls and areas that nobody could possibly access without turning into a painting. Great episode this week. I was also lacking in Allard knowledge, and the crash course helped immensely.

I got mistaken for a robot a few times working in a call center. fun times.

Yesterday I watched two movies! First was The World's End, which was excellent but I don't have a lot to say about that hasn't already been covered. Gary's Sisters of Mercy shirt distracted me the whole time, so I laughed pretty hard when the opening heavenly chorus from "This Corrosion" started playing during two key moments of the film. Just one thing that bugs me: Second was Monsters, the incredibly generic-looking monster movie from 2010 that is really anything but. I have really high hopes for next year's Godzilla film, and seeing the director's previous work really takes the edge off. This guy could totally do an amazing Godzilla film.

I used to like Homestuck until Hussie did the "rather than resolve this cliffhanger I'm going to introduce a new set of characters and have you follow them around for eight months" thing for the fifth or sixth time and then decided I'd had it.

Most depressing thing: This is probably going to be much more popular than it would have been because of the Homestuck characters.
