Has anyone been playing Danganronpa? I really want to try it.

Season nine, to be precise. I considered cropping the photo because I know it's super distracting, but meh. (The disc upside-down on the Other M box is the Metroid Prime trilogy for Wii)

So the last time I played Metroid: Other M back in 2011 or so, an unfortunate glitch prevented me collecting a single missile expansion in the postgame due to a door not unlocking. This time through I almost ran into the same situation when I realized that I had missed a missile tank in the very first room in the game and that the extremely short elevator to get back there was permanently locked, but I ended up taking a long route across a good chunk of the spaceship and getting it. Hooray!

I remember watching the Quick Look of The Sun at Night and being kind of bummed out that it was such a video-game-ass video game, because the real-life story of Laika fascinates me. Basically, Sputnik II was entirely meant as a means to intimidate America during the space race. It was designed and constructed in something like five weeks so that it could be launched in time for a major Russian holiday, and had no life support systems. They told the public that Laika had survived for five weeks before having a controlled death from a cyanide capsule in her food supply, but she actually only lasted about five hours. ...I hate Donkey Kong, but I kind of sort of want Tropical Freeze just because right now all I'm using my Wii U for is to replay Other M and that's a little depressing to me. Also, you guys brought up Pokémon twice! Put it on the games discussed list! ...Maybe.

This is one of those times when I really hope this turns out to be a joke article.

I haven't played much of Liberation Maiden, but it seems alright. I hear that Bugs vs Tanks is pretty weak, though. Also, it's super weird and distasteful that Bugs vs Tanks has actual Nazis as the protagonists. It apparently never ever makes comment on the fact either.

I finished The Starship Damrey and really enjoyed it! I kind of wish it took greater advantage of the idea of your character having to remotely operate things, though. Like if there were instances where you had to use your computer terminal for things besides controlling robots. I also didn't really like how they went out of their way to explain everything in the epilogue, especially since I was super satisfied that I had pieced together the ending twist for myself ahead of time.

The gamepad is so perfect for Virtual Console, though. I don't want to live in a world where I can't play Earthbound on the toilet. Also, considering how quickly the Neo Geo X keeled over, dedicated retro consoles probably aren't a very viable market.

Thumbs IRC has been super fun! I was kicking around the idea of streaming old movies or something once a week while gathering in chat. A chatroom that I used to visit did the same thing. Would anyone be interested in giving it a shot?

Weapon Shop de Omasse isn't out in the west until the twentieth, but they're really interesting games and Attack of the Friday Monsters was one of my GOTYs for last year.
