Protip: "asshole" is the gold standard of profanity. It's not racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or even classist. It's mild enough to use in public, yet filthy enough to get a reaction. It's fun to say and it makes a good punchline. So if you're making a game or a comic or a movie or whatever and you have a character calling someone a bitch, go with asshole instead.

Daaaaang. I read it online for a while, though I still stress that the sadly out of print ADV volumes are by far the best version. I bought volume 6 when Yen Press started publishing it, and actually stopped because the translation had lost so much charm. I've decided that this week I'm finally going to take the plunge and buy a drafting table that I've been eyeing on amazon, and while I'm at it I figure I'll grab the Speed Racer manga that's been on my wishlist forever. I'm a sucker for exquisite hardcover boxed sets and vintage manga.

Contents: a half-eaten piece of chocolate, a handwritten essay about Katsuhiro Otomo, several sketches never seen until now, and ...furry porn. If I had to guess, I'd say the last part was probably a set of concept sketches for one of his erotic works that became more common late in his career, but the article phrases it like it was his personal wank material. Booooo.

I use Winamp at home and a Cowon J3 as my portable music player, both of which play FLAC, so FLAC is actually pretty much the default for me. It's weird to be reminded that it's considered to be somewhere in the same realm of relevancy as Ogg Vorbis for mosy people.
