I would argue that The Simpsons is not a very good TV show since at this point the ratio of bad to good episodes is now about 3:2.

Also, I'm a terrible person because when the discussion of a hypothetical nineties TV show where behind-the-scenes difficulties led to the series suddenly getting super weird and easy to film just made me think of Evangelion.

I liked the trailer, but I have to know... I didn't finish Arkham Asylum or start the other two. When did Batman become Iron Man? From what I gather, it's pretty much guaranteed to be Hush.

I want this to exist, just for the inevitable E3 2013 sequence where "In the Hall of the Mountain King" plays over scenes of Ouya renting a parking lot space and setting up a booth in front of the building, the ESA renting all the adjoining spaces and filling them with huge trucks so nobody could see the booth, Ouya renting the spaces adjoining those spaces to put up signs, etc etc.

I would also like a scary audiobooks The HP Podcraft full readings of Lovecraft stories are great, which is why it's kind of crummy that there's only eight of them. The Temple and The Haunter of the Dark are easily my favourites, but they're all great nighttime listening.

I always find it more than a little hilarious how Far Cry 2 has become this Old Man and the Sea type deal where a lot of Thumbs listeners fight to enjoy it rather than just not play it.

Dunno yet! It's one of the week's releases that I missed. I thiiiiiink Natasha Allegri is actually making the comic too, so it's likely just as good as that pilot episode was. Also, in "oh comics, what are we going to do with you" news, it happened again. (she is a vampire, if it wasn't clear) Also, how fucking weird and hilarious is Future's End? I pretty much ignore Marvel and DC comics most of the time, so I didn't actually read any of the Future's End Free Comic Book Day preview issue until today, but initial impression strikes me as being one of those "Spider-Man sells his marriage to the devil" or "Superman is two guys made of electricity" type deals where it's something so phenomenally stupid that people will still be talking about it years later. I mean, DC is doing a new series strongly featuring the Terry McGinnis Batman meant to bring in new readers, and they immediately pull out the dumbest possible shit they could have done. Not pictured: Wonder Woman as a giant robotic spider with a Raiden jaw For fuck's sake. This is ostensibly being marketed around the character best remembered from such stories as "The Eggbaby" and "Terry's Friend Dates a Robot." Best. (worst)

What? He's in there. Just under Santa Claus. The thing's pretty deep too. Also, the Monster Fighters heroes seemed like they were trying too hard or something. Bowler hat, robot leg, AND fencing foil? Yeah, the Friends figures were designed from scratch specifically to contrast with the classic minifig since test audience girls hated them. I guess we'll have to wait to see how profitable the princess line is to see if it keeps going, since sometimes Lego does Star Wars and keeps making sets for fifteen years and sometimes Lego does Avatar: The Last Airbender and makes two sets before stopping. I might get the Cinderella one with the pumpkin coach. That reminds me, there's a second wave of The Lego Movie sets coming out; probably to coincide with the DVD/BR release. I don't know much about it besides the fact that there's some kind of awesome hover SWAT thing, featuring Batman, Johnny Storm, and one of the Ninjago guys.

It's a little weird that Lego is doing Disney princess stuff now, but haven't done any sets for either Frozen or Sleeping Beauty, considering that Frozen is super recent and Maleficent comes out this month. I use sewing kit/bait and tackle/etc boxes they sell at dollar stores for keeping tiny parts sorted. Here's the big one I use for minifigs.
