You know how these things go, Sony. You don't mention a game by name, much less show it onstage, unless it's coming back in some way. Also also: I might get a Playstation TV.

See, I figured the poll was an obviously facetious question. There probably is no "greatest game." Metroid Prime is just good enough that the hyperbole applies. Also, don't forget that it's the Citizen Kane of games.

The original Battle Royale novel attempted a really neat thing where the perspective constantly jumped from character to character to reinforce that nobody was safe from dying. It also had a mentally ill protagonist for one chapter who was interpreting the events completely differently from everyone else.

I actually think I like the Corruption title screen more than the first game. It cuts to attract mode footage pretty quickly, unfortunately, but I like the visuals and the music prior to that.

I fucking love Metroid Prime, but I've never actually played it on the Gamecube, only the Wii version on the Metroid Prime Trilogy disc. I'm probably missing out on some of the decisions they had to make to accommodate a single-stick FPS, but Wiimote control makes so much sense in that game.

I'm not saying it isn't. The HP books are kind of full of super lazy writing and wish fulfillment. "Albus Severus Potter" is just fucking awful though.

Osamu Tezuka. Apart from being an incredible innovator who tried a lot of crazy experimental shit that helped evolve and impact what comics would become both thematically and visually for the next fifty years, he had an incredible work ethic. He published his first work when he was in elementary school and averaged four completed pages of work for every day of his life. I wish I could be half that dedicated.

The epilogue of ur-trendsetter Harry Potter reads like fanfiction of itself. Everything is so grotesquely hunky-dory that it made me all the more retroactively skeptical of the whole thing.

Finally sat down and finished Saints Row IV. The final segments are kind of frustrating, which was a letdown. I'm at 98% but don't feel like doing the last few challenges. Oh well.
