Furthermore did you read about "Rocochet 2" was scraped and restarted from scratch 3 times, and that now its an open world game. An open world Half Life game, on a next generation Source2... made with Clint hocking and Dough Church amongst others. *drools*

I got an email reply from one of the brothers who made the great Miasmata confirming they are working on a new game in the similar vein: "Yes, we are in the process of developing another open-world exploration/survival game. We're building on a lot of the ideas we had with Miasmata, and we've got some really cool new technology and game mechanics we're building at this very moment. The game will have a much larger world, with many more dynamic and interactive elements. I hope we'll be able to reveal it soon, as I think you'll enjoy it."

It's far from perfect but i come back to Empire: Total war at least twice a year Although i play TF2 religiously.

if anyone has a ps3 when this comes out, free mode multiplayer; we use a cheat to put the waves in GTA5 on hurricane mode, all grab one of those sweet looking jet skis, last man who doesn't take it in the drink or gets eaten by a shark or giant octopus wins. Also rocket launchers are permitted.

i read in the Guardians very detailed concise preview that theyve greatly improved the water and waves will be a significant risk of tipping over your boat in the spectacular looking thunderstorms... I'm a sucker for waves in games, so few dew them well.

Im sceptical about Theif, with all the rumours and how long its been in developement.

Imagine it really WAS a take on the disconection between games and life, and the map slowly devolved as you played to a 3d sprite world like proteus... right down to a wire-frame 2.5d shooter... The gameplay devolution being a metaphor for an ex-serviceman who's mind is going to shit... right before his last breathe the flood of adrenaline opens his mind to the real world for one last moment:

i never get games where these aliens have far more suprerior technology, but are as dumb as shit in combat. God i miss the Combine from Half-Life. and how about some variety, if there are aliens maybe they have different coloured hair or tattoos or something they use to make themselves stand out for mating or whatever like all lifeforms.
