So where was this at E3

I wonder if Far Cry 2 launched as a seperate new IP, avoiding this brand confussion, might it of done better.

Dan Hay sure seems to habe the next far cry lications decided. So weve had two tropical, one african plains and now snowy mountains... Next one must be some former soviet war torn place like Georgia or Ukraine.

I couldn't help myself and take the piss out of Far Cry 3's box quote by putting this together:

This and the gyrocoptor id love in the PC version of GTAV whenever it releases. Basically to make GTAV more like Just Cause...

I know i should feel bad for saying this, but i kinda like that humour; its not too tongue-and-cheek and its not too up itself cultural statement.

Far Cry 2 the Pre-sequel

Is it me or does this character in the promo art bare a striking resemblance to David Beckham?
-
The thing that gets me is the 2015 beta. Not release (although likely, i imagine) Beta.

You skipped a two minute video?

I like the fact theres a faction based on the Royal Marines. How about a game with OLD gunpowder that's incrediably smokey and hard to clear? After everyones let off a round of shots the whole map will virtually be unseeable, and naturally force players to go melee or risk being ambushed mid way into a 40 second musket reload. Id find that cool, as the players who excel in sniping only have a short time to make an impact on the game and visa versa to mental-knife-kill-guy.

Still hope that other Augmented Tech from valve gets made somehow as my housemates find it funny making me jump when I'm fully immersed. But also as i could walk around London and for instance it could render London circa 1888 or 1666 on top. Maybe a sort of adventure game? Speak to a rendered NPC who's not there... Frog Fractions 2: A Fractional Kickstarter Campaign
Tundra replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
If I was a devious money puncher a la Devs who clone new popular games and cash in quick legally then I would barrage steam with games called something like: Forge Reactions 2 Frog Multiplications Part Deux ARG Simulator Not an ARG simulator 2: revenge of the algorithms Hog Redactions 2 -

So Gordon loses and they reset him to city 17 to set him on a Groundhog Day prison or he wins and goes back to change events and the second play through you have a Sophie's Choice(s) list of options to indulge in whatever way you want?

Maybe its nostalgia but all the radio adverts in Vice City still make me laugh:

I agree, it was harder and more fiddly; but that meant the payoff of great driving/stunts and escaping was far more rewarding for me than the arcade-style effortless shenanigans of GTAV. My fondest memories of GTAIV were pulling off jumps with a crew in my car shooting out the windows at another crew behind launching over that partially built bridge's ramps, and the other crew falling in the drink. In GTAV those stories seem a dime-a-dozen.

That war i would love a series of games set in, not even military. I love history as a laymen but would you agree it was the first real world war? India, Europe, America... imagine a game where a good beginning portion its just the build-up to war and tension, playing an aristocratic aid to a senior civil servant in British Parliament like Haytham* in AC3. I would love to be near a major battle but not involved, using its distraction to pilfer information from an estate. Hearing the wailing shells but with next gen visuals and draw distance and maybe some weather too *gush* Historical open world games could bankrupt me willingly...

I concur, but can you really see a french company based in Montreal making a Next-Gen [farts here] title, culminating in the fall of Quebec to the British?

David Lynch's Josh Brolin's Campo Santo's Fire Watch With Me: A Motion Picture Event
Tundra replied to TychoCelchuuu's topic in Video Gaming
Open world first person with fire being integral somehow to the experience... I mean, there's gotta be some kind of homage or head-nod to Far Cry 2 right?
