Huh really, my sony tv (2012/2013 model) doesn't recognise my ps3. Is there something you need to change in the tv settings?

You've made me blush I wonder if they'll ditch Samuel badass motherfucker Jackson all together this year and instead have a woman! So they can show the games industry is progressive n shit

Which elbow/knee would you give up, given the choice?
melmer replied to Berzee's topic in Idle Banter
I'd take the beginners option -
I gave up on disc two, random fight encounters are the worst I did enjoy what I played of it though, and the dream sequences were really compelling Earth defence force 2017! Such fun When I think back its the only thing that stands out

I drive everywhere, left leg I'm just imagining all the day to day things like using a knife and fork or putting on a pair of trousers. Then I imagine sitting on the toilet with one leg jutting out LOL, shouldn't laugh -
£80! Wait...I don't quite think I've grasped this whole haggling thing. I should pay more attention to the apprentice

I'm going to cancel my second pre-order I was intending to sell. It's not worth the effort for the sake of £100. Especially if extra stock has appeared.

I really loved the first two seasons of fringe, although there was some filler in the first season. I'd recommend watching the pilot Back on topic, what UK indie dev's think of next gen http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/nov/20/ps4-xbox-one-indie-developers-think-game-console-war

I watched gravity in 3D IMAX last night. It the first time I've ever had my I MAXED and it was spectacularly. Would highly recommend... Although it was the final showing in IMAX so people may have missed the boat Other things I've seen... Prisoners. Absolutely infuriating. It's aesthetically really well done, good performances, but it's made for stupid people. Everything in the film is signposted with flashing lights, I was literally screaming at the television towards the end of the film waiting for the detective to catch up with what you figured out half an hour before. Wasted opportunity, not nearly dark enough, isn't a patch on the likes of Seven. The black list. I watched the first two episodes a couple of days ago and really liked it. Looking forward to watching more. Two episode in and they have already established some big interesting cross season story arcs give it a go!

I once got a heat rash all over my hands because I was sat to close to the fire whilst playing fzero, and when I went to school the next day all the other kids thought I had meningitis

I assume they'll be doing single player DLC episodes. And I assume they'll have the game out on the other platforms before or at the same time as the DLC, so probably end of next summer? Done some wikipediaing. Lost and the damned came out 10 months after the release of GTA4 GTA4 came out on the PC 7-8 months after the console release

I suppose half of it was my own mindset, I fully intended to hold out for a next gen version. So I was slightly underwhelmed with the visuals and the first missions and ghetto location just felt like I had been here and done that. I did a car race mission and I kept smashing into a solid wooden post on the last corner if the last lap. Had to redo the race like 4 or 5 times which was super frustrating. I suppose the tipping point came when I was having a bicycle race along the sea front, it wasn't until I slowed down that is started to appreciate it. Oh and this paparazzi mission that wasn't even sign posted on the map (just a blue dot popped up) where I escorted a film star on the back of my bike in a mad chase to lose the camera man. Awesome. But yeah, shitty ghetto missions in a shitty ugly ghetto aren't fun. And it's not that I dislike franklin as a character (or am racist ) as I'm really enjoying him being a fish out if water in vinewood. (Although I suppose narratively you need to see where he has come from for it to be effective) And online...I honestly thought five minutes into GTA Online I'd be partaking in a 12 player jet ski race around a beautiful sunny lagon.... Instead I'm holding up a dingy petrol station alone :/ Yeah the first few hours aren't its best, on and offline, and those fucking annoying tutorials constantly popping up in the left corner

Set your TiVo Ah, and they've got 'indie game the movie' on straight after it. Nice one

I take back my previous statement, this game is really good. WHO KNEW? Need to get a few hours into it really before the magic starts happening though, likewise with GTA Online

Yeah forza sounds like a full on free-to-play game. All that's left is the grind, and it's not a particularly pleasant one. Unlike previous outings, cars don't unlock upon levelling up. Everything must be bought in Forza Motorsport 5, and all transactions take place in a slightly misshapen economy. A series will, on average, net the player in excess of 110,000 credits for just under an hour's effort - but with some of the premium racecars costing well over a million, it's a somewhat brutal grind. Good job, then, that there are tokens purchasable on the Xbox One's marketplace for you to attain the car you're after, or to temporarily boost the rate at which you gain XP. When you've already paid £429.99 for a new console, £44.99 for the game and maybe even £349.99 for the only steering wheel that the game supports at launch, such tricks appear a little unsavoury, and in Forza 5, mechanics greedily smuggled from free-to-play games trample over the elegant RPG elements the series once embraced so effectively. Eurogamer review stole from gaf http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=719493 It's a little bit scary that half the exclusives at launch are really micro transaction heavy, doesn't bode well for future xbone exclusives. Where as PS4 seems to have quite a clear divide for the free to plays

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.
melmer replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I guess I've quit FAR CRY 3 BLOOD DRAGON. I played it for about 2 hours... Maybe less It was funny for 5 minutes. shooting people with the bow is still awesome! But the rest of the guns felt underpowered and a bit naff. It all started to drag. The looking around controls were super loose, but that's more a problem with the duel shock joy pad. But the nail in the coffin was being 'taught' how to stealth and having to painstakingly crawl slowly past a group of the titular blood dragons. It's one thing choosing to spend 5minutes slowly crawl around a camp stalking you prey it quite another being forced to spend 5minutes in a slow crawl. FUCK YOU I WONT DO YOU YOU TELL ME
