Hmm I'm not sure what you mean. Character and karts unlock through your total collected coin count. I don't think there's any unlocks tied to the cc championships well there is one, but it's a secret) Oh, if you come first in all races in a championship you get 3 little gold stars. That stuff scales (? Probably not using the correct terminology) so you don't need to go back and earn the 3 stars in 50cc and 100cc

Hey this ain't so bad after all. Game patch was about 5mins. DLC download has an estimated time of 7 \o/ result. I think I might vacuum the stairs while I wait, it's still covered in little plastic spiders and pumpkins from Halloween.... Or I could just sit here.... 4 minutes left :-/ Or I could waste time figuring out how to spell vacuum. 1 min left

Its probably because the weather is fucking miserable, it comes bang smack in the middle of our winter when there's nothing else to look forward to. Your summer holiday was a distant memory. Its this singular beacon of light to look forward to amongst the monotonous misery We have no other holidays around that time either. So as soon as Halloween/fireworks night is over it's full on Christmas time. Shops get all their Christmas displays out, Christmas adverts all over television which start earlier and earlier. I think the main reason why its such a big deal over here is because there's literally nothing else going on. November and December is nothing but a massive lead up until Christmas day (which is invariably an anticlimax)

Its become a trend these past few years for supermarkets/big retailers to create these long elaborate Christmas adverts, and you know what... i actually quite like them. I'm under no illusions, its still marketing, but it's a damn site better then BUY TOYS, BUY UNDERWEAR, BUY FROZEN PARTY FOOOOOOD. Although it is a shame that these adverts are now a news worthy occurrence, but then again its a shame that Kim K's ass is news worthy, its just the world we live in. tis the season its always the real thing Here's this years offerings from John Lewis. Upon finding out today 'twas Mario Kart DLC day i turned on my Nintendeno WiiU Entertainment System to get the download going so i wouldn't have to wait as long tonight after work. But only managed the surprise system update which took 20 mins :exasperatedemoji:

Yes, i did that too! I jumped into that massive sink hole. Also the bit before when you have to jump down 30 stores in the apartment block. I didn't get the 'push square' prompt the first time round so just jumped to my death. (Surely that should be an automated thing) At least the checkpoints are super frequent and load almost instantly
