Knowing or not knowing a captain's strengths and weaknesses severely changes how the game plays. It's incredible for that to be true.

What you should apologize for is the Royals not catching the Tigers, leaving us in a position where instead of everyone happily rooting for Oakland, no one did and now the A's are out but the Tigers are in the damn playoffs again.

Merus you should tell your mom to like unions. Please don't have me killed, awesome lady

I'm running whatever it recommended, which is medium/high for most settings. I have an I5, 8 gigs, and a 750 ti. It looks awesome and it's smooth as butter.

It's probably Sean. He has to assign a numerical value after he asserts that the podcast is going to be a good one.

First impressions after a couple of hours- I am completely unsurprised that mixing Assassin's Creed, Arkham, and Lord of the Rings is giving me a game I feel compelled to play.

Buoyed by reviews being released over the weekend, it getting praise from enough authors I trust, and the GMG sale, I now suddenly have prepurchased a game again. It sure is 35 gigs! I will probably never get used to that! Anticipation has been ramping up though, looking forward to it.

I wondered why I was seeing Don Hertzfeldt cartoon insanity on my television after football. How/why did that pairing happen?

It doesn't change the weirdness of English, but I have taken to mean in a (traditional, at least) RPG, you are creating a character and a role rather than just assuming one. Fallout 3 is an RPG because you're a nameless, faceless wanderer that grows and changes that the world has to bounce back against and Rage isn't because you're a nameless, faceless wanderer that either does everything in order or the game doesn't happen. I guess RCG just doesn't have the same ring to it? At some point you do Game Playing.

I'm guessing the comment about Jeff politics is that sometimes he says that what he really wants is just to watch the world burn? I think he's more fascinated with the idea of post-civilization anarchy than he is a capital-A Anarchist. He seems to share the general viewpoint of most of us on most social and equality issues. The guys sometimes have crazy statements about games and the games industry that I feel like they wouldn't make for other industries they weren't so close to, not because of anything but forest-> trees mentality. I miss Vinny.

The thing is, you are dedicating 2+ dead hours to getting to the part where you face each other and talk. I have had a movie date where we showed up separately, watched a movie, and then she left. It was really stupid. ~Dating as a baby adult~ I'm not saying you shouldn't watch movies with someone you are seeing. That's fun! All for it! However, before maybe a month(?) of dating, it is an absolute hard rule for me that I personally would not choose that as a date activity. I like activity dates and prefer to get straight to the talking/facing portion of dates without a preliminary requirement beforehand. I can also say laughing/not laughing at different parts of a movie can explain so much about relationships.

I have never actually seen BttF 2 all the way through. I've seen essentially all parts of it but not sat down and just watched it as an unbroken whole. It's the one that feels like the out of place crazy weird movie to me. I've seen 3 by far the most times. Because, I mean, cowboys and time trains.

It is a loving tribute to game music! It's not casting aspersion against your quiz or your selections. All your choices sound like the other quiz choices. Video game music especially from the 16 bit through ps2 era stuff is almost uniformly 4-4, basically the same time signatures, and often the same keys. They also very often share similar pitch and timbre profiles. The difference between The Sims and the rest of the music is incredibly stark. There just really isn't that much variety in game music. I'm not suggesting it's bad, just that it's all very samey.

I personally don't think it's ever been acceptable to go on a date and watch a movie (as a get-to-know-you date). The entire concept is go sit in the dark, be quiet, and pay attention to a thing that's not any other person there. I have been defaulting to dinner/a drink lately, but really I like doing something. Miniature golf, bowling, a small faire of some sort. Museum is a good one! Just a place where you're clearly there to spend time with a person, but there are opportunities to create new topics of conversation just from doing what you're doing.

I think all the ones I could even possibly know have been guessed so far. Holy SHIT video game music is derivative.

Is there one you hate less than the others?

On Sunday, after summer's over, I'm finally going to do the thing I've wanted to all summer - buy a cheese making kit, make mozzarella, and do some homemade pizza. Anyone have a pizza dough recipe they like?

Would you call a place where you curated deli selections a place where Meats Meets Meats? I'll see myself out.

I cannot believe that TSM threw away their shot at a semifinal berth by being impatient against SK. They clawed all the way back, had the lead, and went for a crazy risky play to throw completely. They had a very legitimate shot to win in the next round against EDG if the could have taken the tiebreaker rubber match from Royal Club. They have no shot against SSG W.

The job that I interviewed for, which I am well (massively over) qualified for and would do a good job with got back to me today. They thought I was well qualified and would do a good job, and went in a different direction because they were concerned I wouldn't be able to handle the stress (???). Thanks, job. My friends with stable careers and houses let me know that everything happens for a reason. Those people can fuck right off.

Shit I was all ready to make a guess, then saw you posted the answers. I am really, incredibly proud of myself that I knew one answer not previously guessed correctly (#4).

DAMMIT thread, look what you've done. You've ruined chili for Miffy by covering it in Cincinnati. Why would you destroy such a beautiful food?

Hey listen what you do in the privacy of your own home is no business of mine, and doesn't hurt me.

Right. The opposite of how you pronounce gib.

I didn't say there were more people, that would be silly. I am contending there are more potential viewers. I have no clue what the penetration into China is like. If it's not huge the potential live viewership is much higher catering to EU or Americas time zones compared to Korea and Taiwan. If what they're bringing in is the CHINESE market as compared to a Korean market they already have a stranglehold on, that's better business for them. It doesn't make me feel less disenfranchised, though.
