I just put a security deposit down on my first solo apartment, and I'm freaking the fuck out about moving and money and living by myself.

10000000 owned, sorry about your opinion. It was an endless runner and a match 3 game that added new layers as you played, while ramping the difficulty the longer you played a single round until you hit the target goal. The music was also great, same with You Must Build A Boat. You Must Build A Boat has a much better title treatment.

No I do not, because roller coasters suck. Same as horror games. I do my best to avoid being scared because scared is bad.

Idle Thumbs 217: To Have a Life
Badfinger replied to Chris's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Oof, Nappi I'm with you. That quest also hit me really hard. I was dumbstruck waiting for the followup, and there wasn't one. That was just it. Such a strong emotional moment. -
There are an awful lot of things I'm "supposed" to celebrate as an American that make me very uncomfortable. The US Women's National Team winning the World Cup does not have any of those reservations. Incredible game. So happy to see Abby finally get to ride off into the sunset a champion like she deserves. I am so devastatingly in love with Carli Lloyd, the most attractive lady in America. Beating the keeper from midfield is just absurd. What a game.

Because it's a thing he likes and a ludicrous scenario, used as hyperbole. I'm hopeful that's the reason, in any case.

Federal DOJ report says Ferguson police response was inappropriate, escalated situations instead of deescalating, and violated free speech rights of assembly. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ferguson-justice-department-say-police-antagonized-crowds-violated-free-speech-rights/

Official Giant Bomb Thread Mostly for Complaining About Dan
Badfinger replied to tegan's topic in Idle Banter
Really? I don't feel that at all. I feel like he's diving in, and I appreciate it. We got a sick ass rap-alar at the beginning of the episode and everything. Between Vinny's editing and hosting, the format moves around enough that it feels like conversation and discussion and not Whatcha Been Playin', The Segment.- 1367 replies

This game feels so much like Spelunky to me, a game that is never a main course but is always a desired side dish. I guess what I'm saying is although the game has evolved quite a bit since I bought in, it has always been fully functional and well featured. It doesn't feel like it needs a "release" to be ready like some other early access games I've been wary of. Question: How do you all play? Outside of unlocking the secret character and fiddling around, I almost exclusively play random, no crown. Just hit the button and start. e: my best games all seem to be with crystal and plant, though.

Nope, water board.

Has anything change in your life recently? Schedule, habits, diet? It's completely possible something innocuous is causing the frustration and can be turned and fixed.

Designer Notes 9: Bruce Shelley
Badfinger replied to Soren Johnson's topic in Designer Notes Episodes
I am that kid that learned history stuff from Age of Empires and Civilization. I impressed a history professor because I understood the importance of the 3 field system and the horse drawn plow. Excellent episode! -
Working example - the Left Shark Meme. Hundreds of millions of people were watching the Super Bowl Halftime show. They all saw Left Shark, and it was instantly a meme. There was no instance where it was restricted to a scant few who were in on it before it blew up. There could be a thing like that, but cool, right? Workshopping this.

Is the band not cool until it reaches an arbitrary popularity threshold? If you were the first person to hear the band and instantly thought they were cool, the band is cool right? The "before X was cool" thing is more a comment on how cool it is to like a thing rather than the coolness level of the thing itself, isn't it?
-
If something, on its discovery, is instantly recognizably cool and beings to propagate immediately, is it even possible to have liked it before it became cool?

On one hand I agree, on the other hand when I'm playing them to spend 15 minutes playing them I approach them really aggressively. "Oh man I could go to hell this run!" *instantly dead* I played a hell of a lot of You Must Build A Boat, but I beat it and stopped for a bit. I think Fallout Shelter can be pretty consuming as well, but now that I'm at 50+ Dwellers and not getting cool or interesting gear it became a mating simulator and lost a lot of pull on me.

Wholeheartedly agree. I propose the Z axis goes to 11 this time. I hope this doesn't sound like I mean to denigrate the term, but like Patrick when I read "pansexual" I think of something besides it's meaning. I think of Pangaea, which then brings to mind dinosaurs which are attracted to the entire range of other dinosaurs. I think that's a side affect of a word which is intentionally broad and thus necessarily vague.

This thought was inspired by a comment in one of the other threads where it would have been a horrible. In this day and age, I don't think of Playboy magazine as pornography. I don't know how that reflects on me, society, or pornography. Is Playboy still published? Are magazines still real?

Bree Newsome is a hell of a lady.

Finally finished! Did almost every quest I could find. A nice, tight 90 hours. I think I got a "good" ending. I might go back and find the Wolf armor, because it's a bit better than the Griffin stuff. Definitely don't care about Gwent in the slightest. I will probably be completely in for the expansion stuff when it comes out in the fall. Some of the conversation flow got repetitive, and it started bugging me that whoever the writer was hated definite and indefinite articles, but all in all a wonderful game.

Even with all the lasers and frozrs, like 99% of the Nvidia cards on the market are just reproducing and branding the Nvidia reference spec card. There was a time when they'd take the pipeline and chip architecture and some companies would actually design their own board, but for the most part now all the cards with the same model number are the same thing with different icing on top of the cake. So you can just pick the best price or the coolest dragon and be reasonably secure with your decision.
