  1. Other podcasts

I'm a fan of her stuff in general and enjoyed her appearances on other podcasts such as the defunct RPS one. Must be something about either E3 or the Bomb guys that sets her off. It's unfortunate.
  2. Plug your shit

It's a really smart use of the tomcat/java framework, I think. Inserting things in the webapp rather than the IDE makes a lot of sense these days.
  3. Other podcasts

Yeah the Leigh-on-bombcast episodes were pretty disastrous by her own admission
  4. I poison arrow the greatsword guy these days. No regrets, that guy is an asshole. Feel free to ping me if you want a friendly phantom and I'm online obv
  5. Plug your shit

That's pretty damn cool Erkki. Did you mean the code or the video (or both)?
  6. Plug your shit

I've got it saved because I thought it was cool. I can upload or attach it somewhere but only if tegan OKs it obviously.
  7. Life

Congrats dude, sounds like you're off to a great start!
  8. Rocksmith

I find the 2014 edition to be a gigantic upgrade as a learning tool, as well as enjoying many quality of life upgrades such as being able to decide that I want to practice a particular riff on the fly. The menus and inflexibility of the original drove me batty after a while (though I still loved it).
  9. John Dies at the End - David Wong/Jason Pargin

I picked the first book up on the thread's recommendation and enjoyed it enough moment to moment but found it to be too disjointed to be long-term great. Some good ideas and jokes, just fell flat on execution I think.
  10. Let It Die - evolution of Dark Souls ideas?

Player "ghost" enemies have been a staple of roguelikes since Nethack I believe. It's always great to me to see more of roguelike games' great ideas bleed into the mainstream. Your link just leads to joystiq btw, not a specific page. Here's the stuff tagged with the game. http://www.joystiq.com/tag/let-it-die
  11. God damn it I don't want more hardware in my house. FROM
  12. Life

    The point stands.
  13. Life

God fucking damn it the shitty Dutch team is still in the shitty world cup so i'm going to get even less fucking sleep every time they have a bloody match. I want to move out of the city centre so bad.
  14. Jiff?

That pindakaas is so iconic that I've got this shirt
  15. Vendrick's soul and armour are the first thing to come to mind.
  16. Video Game Baby - Idle Parents

I think saying "I was raised in way X and am fine" is a bit of a fallacy. It certainly makes doing things potentially better a lot harder. I personally try to minimise the exposure of my kids to violent action until I'm certain that they have properly internalised the lesson that violence is bad.
  17. Video Game Baby - Idle Parents

Spelunky is a bit to gruesome for me to play around my kids, but everyone's limits are different there. Sounds super cute!
  18. The weaknesses are lightning and fire, in that order.
  19. Books, books, books...

Sheer inertia, plus I was a lot less picky what I spent my time on back then. For reference I kept reading the bloody Wheel of Time books until the tenth one.
  20. Video Game Baby - Idle Parents

Today I discovered Crayon Physics together with my 3.5 year old daughter. I don't think I've seen her so proud and happy in quite a while. The first two islands of puzzles are just her level. It's super charming.
  21. Those giants in the memories are probably my least favourite enemy in the game to fight. The throwers have ridiculous tracking/pivoting speed and the melee guys go through shields. Irritating as hell.
  22. Books, books, books...

Sword of Truth is basically an objectivist manifesto by the time the Pillars of Creation book rolls around. That's where I quit in disgust. The first was OK, barring the gratuitous sex/torture stuff.
  23. I think if you both use the name-engraved ring you should be able to coop easily. the SM system isn't that restrictive at higher values. I'd also be happy to play with anyone interested! I don't have that many characters yet though.
  24. Far Cry 4: A grenade rolls down everest

I'm sorry, this just was too funny to leave hanging. e: oops, this is a bad post to have as the first of a new page. Nobody get angry before reading the actual post I quote-mangled please.
  25. I think there must be quite the difference between the US and EU regions. It's the only explanation I can think of for the radically different multiplayer experience I'm having from most of the US-based posts I'm reading. Also it's kind of sad realising how much more time I'd have to put into these games to get on the level many in this thread. Ah well, it's still fun times. Just different fun.
