Just finished A Visit from the Goon Squad. Marvellous. Very human, very insighful. Clearly mostly aimed at a somewhat older crowd with its musings about the loss of pretty much everything with time. I really could have done without the 'SF' bits near the end, but that's my only quibble.

Dishonored. I think the only other option would be Mirror's Edge. No other FP "S" is about movement.

Got my first exotic gun! A Suros something assault rifle. They're my least favourite weapon class so I still have some room to improve, but on the other hand it's nice to have an excuse to try ARs out again. e: Jon, I won't be able to join tonight's thing, past midnight on a weekday's a bit rich for my blood. Also not 32 yet.

As someone who's more like your friend than you, if you find out what, if anything, could help with this type of mentality I'd like to hear it. I'll definitely say that I would be very happy for someone to have this type of conversation with me, because it shows you really care which is a wonderful thing. He might not be the type of person to see it that way though.

I've been on both ends of it and for me at least it feels extremely unfair. Point and click is so vastly superior to slowly-track-and-click.

Sounds interesting, how would I do that? I didn't see a link to something in the last page or so but I could just be blind.

Update: my four-and-a-half-year-old is loving the heck out of Portal, Flower, Monument Valley and Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic's getting close to my no-violence threshold but given that all the enemies are robots and you're freeing your forest friends from them I think it's acceptable.

OK, so I ended up randomly buying this when I was up sick and judgement-impaired. I've since hit 20 on a warlock, gotten all blue gear plus on epurple glove thingy putting me at 26, and now am kind of wondering what to do. The random strike playlist is holding my interest for now but I can see that getting old soonish. Any EU thumbs want to take me under their wing? PSN ID is osmotich. e: I don't anticipate getting into pvp at all, my connection's shitty and playing FPS with a controller is aggravating enough versus dumb AI.

I get way less anxiety in 1v1 games than team v team for what it's worth - at least I'm only letting myself down if I lose. I think a lot of it just comes from some sort of mental shift that I have trouble with, where losses/doing poorly has a different impact.

Well, I'm sure there are a bunch in my country, but through whatever happenstance I've managed to end up in a life that is almost entirely isolated from PoC. I think that might be a sign in and of itself that there's something fishy going on. It looks like that particular instance is changing for me anyway now that we've moved and my daughter's going to school - she's got quite a few coloured classmates and seems to be making friends with at least one. I'm looking forward to some more variety in life in that sense.

OK, filled it in. I think there either was no ranked yet when I played or I was not comfortable playing it, so I just put no opinion there.
