Congrats on the babby, hope it's formed well. Kiss your nights (and days) goodbye for the foreseeable future.

The stream issues have been dreadful this time around, goodness. So many interrupts/drops.

I adored your chat with Cara. I think the biggest thing about growing your audience might be to also ask your guests to promote their appearance a bit - you've gotten some individuals with quite a bit of clout on, but I haven't really seen anything from them about it. Might just be timezones though.

The behaviour of the Troika in Greece has really been unconscionable. https://www.themonthly.com.au/issue/2015/august/1438351200/christos-tsiolkas/greek-tragedy

Windows 10: "It wouldn't be right to call it Windows 9."

It's also apparently a good idea to switch off a bunch of tracking settings both within Windows 10 and on a separate webpage if you're adverse to being tracked: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/07/30/windows-10-privacy-settings/ -
You guys have already named most of my favourites, except Quake 1 deathmatch on the Welcome to Quake map (the level select one). I spent so much time on that map with friends at LAN parties trying out stuff like the Killer Quake Pack... memories. Also, the Many level of System Shock 2. The abrupt shift from clean to organic mess was well done and jarring.

The 'problem' is that it's on by default and you might not want it to be turned on. Just posting a reminder. -

The main thing is to consider whether you want to share your wi-fi password: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2951824/windows/how-to-disable-windows-10s-wi-fi-sense-password-sharing.html -
The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS

Razer has been mostly excellent at dealing with ethical conundrums from what I've seen so I'm glad they're keeping that streak. I have to wonder why they'd even pay money for what is essentially a dead platform though. -
League does at least one gameplay mode thing a year, usually more.

There was a recent episode of You Are Not So Smart about the different approaces to learning, specifically math, that seems relevant to this conversation.

I didn't look them up outside the game, it shows you which player was which symbol at the end. I only thanked the guy I had a really good time with. Seems like it's intentional to me. I agree that looking them up while playing would be kind of lame. I'm miffed that those stupid snakes kill your scarf by the by, it was getting so long

I played through Journey once (really happy to see it come to PS4, first console I've owned in a while). I had 4 companions en route, one of whom lasted for most of the latter half of the game. We sent each other messages thanking one another for the fun trip, it was cool.

Fourthly: made by one of the creators of Forums Favourite Ben There, Dan That. I'm definitely going to pick it up once I'm at a low point in the cycle of my hatred of platforming.

The normal mode tour of Vault of Glass was a lot of fun tonight, cheers again guys.

Yeah, he's been basically unbearable for as long as I've been aware of him, since the WoW days.

Idle Thumbs 219: Idiots Laughing
osmosisch replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
I LANned it a bunch with my friends. Good times. When I was in highschool Doom had just come out and no way were the computers at school good enough to run it. Best we could get entertainment-wise from those was sending each other dirty messages via Novell Netware. Oh, and there was one PC with 'internet' access in a locked office that we could use to Gopher things. Pretty advanced. -
I'm always fascinated by American stories of taking the train. It's such an integral part of my transportation here, and (from what I hear) such a special thing there. I wish I'd had the opportunity to go on a train trip when I was on that side of the pond. Enjoy, Dualhammers!
