ObjectiveGameReviews.com - A Subtle Journey of Discovery

THEY WANT MY WEBSITE IS WHAT THEY WANT -
Great episode. Brendon Chung has made a large chunk of my favorite games of the past few years, basically all by himself, which is amazing. Blendo Games (aka Brendon) is one of my favorite developers and at this point I'd probably just buy a lifetime pass to Blendo's future output because I'm just assuming it's all going to be gravy forever. Brendon has his own podcast and one of the early episodes is about how he got into game design, so I was really glad that this Tone Control episode barely overlapped with that at all. (Steve Gaynor is also on the latest episode of Extended Memory, by the way!)

I laughed really hard at the story about driving next to the Google car. -
I wholeheartedly approve of pun names.

Have you ever met someone and said to yourself "this person is my reason for existing. They give my life purpose" or anything like that? Today, I met that person. This series of tweets go on for a while and gets into stuff like the grand leftist conspiracy about net neutrality but I figured I'd cut it off there. This man is my website's reason for existing. He is my muse. -

Well take your time and make it good - that Minecraft review is the site's ticket to a payday, via an elaborate scheme I have yet to work out that ends with Notch retweeting the review to his six million followers. If it's any help for some games, especially games where the mechanics are sort of sparse, I include fairly detailed mechanical stuff in paragraph 2. -
goty.cx - It's that time of last year again
TychoCelchuuu replied to TychoCelchuuu's topic in Video Gaming
Potentially the reason you think people have forgotten it is because you've got the name wrong. It's called "Gunpoint" and not only is it on the goty.cx site, it's also on my list and Bjorn's list in this thread.- 37 replies

Robots that build houses have arrived faster than expected, which is to be expected. Nobody suspects the robots are capable of something until they've been able to do it for a year or more, typically.

I think it's funny that The Binding of Isaac can't get on the 3DS because Nintendo doesn't want religious content in games, but make a video game all about objectifying women and Nintendo couldn't give less of a shit.

Yeah, Save the Date is definitely a candidate for being a 2013 GOTY. Plus I think it's fine if we count games that came out earlier because who cares.- 37 replies

I feel that way 100% and I've posted in this thread about it before. No need to reiterate my thoughts, I think. edit: er, which post are you referring to? I thought it was Arthur Gies' post but now I'm not sure.

Well aside from the score it doesn't really have to be a joke for those people. The reviews are objective! -
um I believe this game was ALREADY made it's called BIOSHOCK INFINITE which is a REALISTIC and BALANCED depiction of religious faith

meh If you ever make a website, definitely don't set up Google Analytics on it. This shit's addictive. On my second monitor I have the real time monitoring up. It's telling me that someone in Albuquerque is reading the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC review. FASCINATING. -

Oh, that's Jordan Thomas? And he was the creative lead on BioShock 2? I've been following him on twitter for months (years?) now. I only knew his as "nullspeak" though. Hilarious! In any case I don't think I'll tweet the review at him - @ mentioning someone in a "we just reviewed X" tweet isn't very spammy, but just straight up saying "hey check out my website" feels a little skeevy. -
This is a great opportunity to play one of my least favorite games, "salt or semen?" The developers say salt, but the polls say...

No. Also I don't know who Jordan Thomas is. Would Jordan Thomas be receptive to reading the review? I send these things to people like spambots send spam. Except it's not spam, it's... information... -

Desoto (de Soto) is a surname for lots of Spanish people and of Spanish descent (thus lots of Hispanic/Latina people).
