  1. Shooty games with many bullets

Yes, I'm new and apparently untrustworthy to this forum's security, so am having trouble posting in a timely manner. But I'm glad Jamestown is now on your radar as it is excellent.
  2. Shooty games with many bullets

a bullet hell shmup on iOS sounds like a nightmare!
  3. Shooty games with many bullets

I'm not normally a fan of shmups, but I've had Jamestown in regular rotation for a while now. I'd wager it's more because of excellent aesthetic and score than actual gameplay. But if you haven't played that, you should.

That's a shame. I find that it's one of the few online games that doesn't make me feel horrible when I lose. Mainly because there are so many things to do besides just shooting other dudes to keep you occupied. I can heal my squad, fly a helicopter, repair tanks, laser designate vehicles, etc etc. Not to say getting crushed doesn't happen occasionally and isn't frustrating. But having a good squad helping you often prevents the game from getting too lopsided. Speaking of which: fancifulnotion is my online tag. I play on pc. Add me if you're up for a game or two!
  5. Rayman Origins

The art style for the sequel is looking amazing: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-04-27-leaked-rayman-legends-wii-u-trailer-shows-graphics-touch-screen-nfc-tech I'm a big fan of Origins, partially because it's a couch co-op game that makes me feel nostalgic for my youth, mostly because it has tight controls and a great aesthetic and attention to detail. I'm hoping Legends branches out from Wii-U as that pad looks all kinds of awkward.
  6. Diablo III

I quite liked playing as the monk. Seems like a versatile class that can go in a lot of different directions. I enjoyed Diablo 2 and this seems to be a logical sequel (especially looking at Starcraft 2). Blizzard just improves the formula/aesthetic it rarely changes what already works. The coop was also incredibly fun. And I'm sure the difficulty issues are similar to the SC2 beta which only had an easy option when playing the CPU. I doubt the full release of Diablo 3 will be as easy as the beta generally was. Still it's frustrating that Blizzard does this as it prevents you from fully exploring how the fighting handles.

Any idle thumbers still playing regularly? I usually try and get a few games in a night. Still very fun, though the game has gotten extra crashey lately.
