Yeah from what I've seen the Big Chest always gives an exotic and purple weapon (on 28 at least). I got a Red Death and the purple Queen's Wrath auto rifle. I also got a Gjallarhorn from the Nightfall! Keys are hard to come by though. I didn't have any drop for me last week, although I just ran the bounties and didn't farm them, and I think they only drop there and equally rarely from the small chests and the end of PoE. Having gone through the story and lvl 28 PoE, I have to say I'm pretty pleased with this expansion so far. Even as a 32 in the lvl 28 PoE, things can get pretty crazy, with modifiers, a high enemy count, and sometimes mandatory objectives. God only knows how insane the high level versions will be. New strike and story missions have been fun too.

Yeah, instanced areas. Like generally indoor areas to navigate to other spots or ones associated with paths for other missions. Like for Omnigul, I'll bet you could go back to the Rasputin bunker and find enemies there. Some strikes are more convenient for this than others. The backstory for the Vault of Glass is actually pretty fun. This page has the Grimoire cards and some brief commentary. There's also plenty of reddit threads if you search around. It makes some of the bizarre text that pops up in the raid actually make sense (Ritual of Negation, Marked by the Oracles, etc). I keep waiting for them to add an in-game interface for these cards, but it has yet to happen...

One trick for the Pocket Infinity bounty is that you can go into other darkness zones that are off the mission path and kill dudes there. It's usually a little easier since you aren't getting bombarded with enemies for the story encounter, it's just the standard spawns. The Nightfalls are great because burns are a lot of fun. Fatebringer just destroys on arc burn since I think the Firefly perk (enemies explode on precision kill) AOE is also considered arc damage. Plus there's the 25% XP bonus for the week. And you have a chance at an exotic reward at the end. Good stuff. After we did that I finally got around to running those new Queen's Wrath bounties. Really fun stuff and a good addition to the Patrol areas. Everything Bungie's done for this release has been really smart...I'm pretty pumped for HoW.

Oh I remember how it worked now . Pre-Crota, all Nightfalls were 28. But with the expansion, the new strike (Omnigul) was 30. So I guess I'd expect the new strike to be a lvl 32 Nightfall but the old ones should stay the same.

I try and do the Nightfalls when I have time. I wonder if they'll up the difficulty level for them once HoW drops. Also curious how the Queen's Wrath has been reworked from the one time they've had it. I might be on late tonight, but it's doubtful. I want to get Truth from Xur but am lacking in strange coins, so I'd need to do the nightfall+weekly tonight, as I won't be able to play the rest of the weekend. If I see any of you guys on I'll check in about running it.

There's literally zero clan functionality in-game. It's worthless. Thanks for the calendar Zeus. I'm busy through this weekend but I put in some tentative times I'll be free next week. Weekends are especially hard to predict.

Agree with Zeus that weekend noonish will probably generally work best (that's from an east coast perspective). That way Europe folk are in the evening and west coasters are at a reasonable morning hour. Or maybe someone just says "I wanna run one at x time on y date" and go from there? A pool of 10 people should be enough to get things going at least every now and then. Even with the new content dropping, there's plenty of incentive to re-run the raids. You definitely won't get all the drops in one go and some chests give chances at exotics. Plus you'll soon be able to bump old raid drops up to the new max light/damage levels. Oh and someone asked on the last page, but the clan stuff is a waste. You can have it say "Idle Thumbs" under your name and that's about all the benefit there is.

Yeah I noticed the cheese potential for the one on the ground (and suspected that roof method was possible). I just figured if I took out the gunner it would make that area less annoying so I'd deal with that one first. I think I'll just run past them like the video game baby I am.

As soon as Dan starts talking about anything other than video games (or maybe wrestling if that's your thing) it's best just to tune him out entirely if only for your own sanity's sake. On the podcast, I think if Jeff forced himself to explain what he likes or finds interesting about a game instead of why it is "TERRIBLE" it would help things a lot. The dude's negativity is killing me.

I don't think it's the fact that it was released under the premise of being its own game but that it is its own game. It's very much a standalone thing and actually pretty good, so its sad to see a unique little horror title just vanish like that. They should just remove the Silent Hills promo at the end and leave it up. Or if they really want to be tightwads about it, charge $5 for it from now on or something. They obviously don't care about negative press.

For normal difficulty, 27 should be fine, especially if you're rolling with some 30+ folks.

I'll be out of town that weekend, but scheduling that works for everyone will be tough so it's no big deal if you go with that. Other weekends would probably be fine for me, but hard to say that far out. On a separate note, both new modes are only three person teams, so getting groups together for those might a little easier to make happen. I think details on the arena mode are going to be released this week?
