1. 100% pure Goldblum gold.
2. There is something sexy about an unfathomably efficient play-through, but I don't care for TASs. They lack the skill factor of a human player, and the brutal efficiency of a 100% computer driven "perfect game". In TASs the actual speedrun is often secondary to the player showing off what his tool can do. The video you posted is a good example of this... a speed run of a fixed speed side scrolling shooter, no attempt is made for a high score, and the player even dies around the 7m30s mark (WAT!). Clearly the it's all about the tool, and nothing to do with the game. As such, I always assumed that TASs were only legitimately interesting to other TAS players/developers.
3. Fyre put out another timelapse. This time it is a City of Mages the Wizzzaaaard.

My friend was saying the same thing the other night in D3. "This game needs target dummies like in Dungeon Defenders" Glad to hear they are in TL2.
5. Minecraft

No, they haven't said when. All these snapshots are for the version 1.3 update. The SP/MP merger is what is holding things up. They are currently trying to smooth out many of the issues which have been plaguing multiplayer servers since the dawn of minecraft (glitchy TNT, laggy boats, mobs pushing each other through walls...). Now that single player games run off of a locally hosted server, all the horrible glitchyness of multiplayer minecraft has been brought to the single player community, and they aren't happy about the change. They have already made huge progress, but it still isn't as solid as single player though. Will it ever be, probably not. I'm hoping for some comfortable middle ground, where multiplayer is significantly improved by the new changes, and single player has to deal with a few new (multiplayer inherited) issues, but gain the ability to invite friends into their single player worlds.

Exactly that. Great example. Somebody give this man a prize.

The level art probably took a while to put together. Some of the tile-sets are obnoxiously full of gratuitous detail for what is essentially non interactive window dressing. Though, I'd have to assume they sunk the last couple years into working, and re-working the character abilities for the PVP arena. They made it clear that they were aiming for e-sports, and if it is going to have any chance to catch on as an e-sport they need the class v class balance to be almost perfect.

In case some were unaware... Blizzard has been hotfixing some character abilities on the server side. Great. Which means some tooltips are now wrong until the next client side patch. Not Great. So far only Demon Hunters, Monks, and the Wizzaaaaard are affected. You can find the list of Hotfixes for May here -> http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/5825330/Diablo_III_Hotfixes_-_May_Updated_52312-5_23_2012#blog
9. Diablo III

No such thing. Though that would be awesome. I've been using a server my friend is running on his old box from his house. Get more than 5 people on it and it all goes to shit, but it's served my friends and I well enough for a while now.
10. Minecraft

The editable books were introduced in the previous snapshot along with harvestable cocoa bead pods, and the first steps at the SP-MP merger. That was two weeks ago, no weekly snapshot last week due to a holiday. Overall 1.3 is looking to be one of the the biggest updates yet. The SP-MP merger is by far the biggest thing I'm looking forward to. Once complete PC players will be able to invite other players into their single player (server) worlds like in Pocket Edition, and 360.

Sadly the ender chest pattern is like a normal chest but with obsidian instead of planks, and a single eye of ender in the middle. Not an ender pearl heavy recipe. The cool thing is that the chest emits a bit of light, and purple enderman particles. Sparkly!

Agreed. Red gets 3rd place.
13. Minecraft

Minecraft (PC) is about to hit 6M sold. 29,848,400 registered users, of which 5,996,620 (20.09%) have bought the game. http://www.minecraft.net/stats Also.. The latest snapshot (12w21a) introduces some new stuff. http://www.mojang.co...apshot-week-21/ Emeralds added as a currency item. Villagers will now trade items with the player. NPC Villages in the desert are now made of sandstone. New sandstone Pyramid Temples now occasionally spawn in deserts. Dispensers can now place/pick-up a source block if it has a Water/Lava/Empty bucket inside. Ender Chests added. All Ender Chests in the world share the same inventory slots. Sandstone Stairs added. Stars are smaller, and brighter. Warning: Snapshots are buggy, and have been known to corrupt world files, so back up your shit if you decide to try it out. The biggest new feature is trading with villagers. You can trade with villagers for the new emeralds, or mine it at low levels. They are 80% rarer than diamonds, so probably easier to trade for them. Villagers buy, or sell job appropriate items: Butcher = Meat, Smith = Tools, Farmer = Food items, etc. You can trade for a huge variety of items, like diamond tools, even nether mats like Glowstone. All villagers start with only 1 item for trade, but each time you trade, they will expand their list of available items. Time to start my villager ranch. The most interesting new thing for me are the Ender Chests. Debatable about how useful they will be in SMP when only a small chest worth of space is available to everybody on the server. Still it will be a very handy way to move items around without having to journey cross country to hand deliver them. Player A requests item X. Player B places item X in an Ender Chest. Player A drops an Ender Chest, opens it, and retreives item X. So simple. Very cool. The new sandstone pyramid temples feature a hidden treasure room with 4 small chests bellow the blue wool block on the ground floor. The room has a pressure plate in the middle, which triggers a 3x3 pack of TNT underneath. Watch your step.
14. Even cooler when you see it from a first person perspective. Just log in already.
15. It is ... mouse over to the right side edge of your browser for the options to slide into view. Select the green cube near the top under "thumbs" for isometric view. Sadly my monstrosity blocks the view of the town square project.

So it's come to this.

To be honest I wasn't the one inspecting your gear, my wizard friend was. He wanted to know how you were doing so much more damage than him. Though if it is just the weapon, then I doubt that would enough for a two fold increase in DPS. Though the radiant square gems (4-5?) might help, but I don't know enough to say if that would make that big a difference. To be clear, I know my friend likes having some Magic Find on him which probably explains why his DPS was the lowest, and maybe we haven't been so lucky with drops/crafting. So it most likely is a combination of both. Though it feels pretty severe to have two players at the same level have such a huge disparity in Damage. Don't worry about that. Though it might hurt our pride a little to see you cut through things so fast. I apologize for not typing out more than I did. So easy to forget the chat when demons are chewing your leg off. Download mumble for next time.

I agree. Lork provided me with a convincing demonstration of the power of the auction house. Lork (a wizaaaaaard) jumped into my game last night, I (a demon hunter) was playing with a RL friend (another wizaaaard), we were all the same level (42), and making our way through Nightmare Act2. Lork was sporting a great many high level gems (assuming from the AH), and some other gear he admittedly picked up on the auction house. The end result was that he was killing things very very fast. My friend and I couldn't stop talking (via mumble) about how ridiculously more effective he was. We were just keeping mobs busy until Lork's death-ray swung around killing everything. When asked, because we had to know... Lork's Damage (DPS) was just under 2k, while I had just over 1k, and my friend was somewhere around 800-900. He was putting out more DPS than both of us together. Incredible. Now if my friend and I had also gone to the auction house, and managed to get our DPS up to 2k as well, there literally would have been no challenge in the area we were last night. It would have been a slaughter, and probably no where nearly as fun (like Normal difficulty). After a bit of discussion, my friend and I have decided that we were not going to buy items from the auction house (for our first characters at least). I like the smithy, but the AH seems to come in direct conflict with it. I spent about 15k gold (+ a ton of essence) trying to get my smithy to make me a good quiver. I ended up with a ton of useless STR quivers, INT quivers... until he finally pooped out a good one. Now that I think of it, I could have taken a third of that gold to the AH and picked up an equal, if not better, quiver in less time. That's a problem. TLDR: Auction House.. more like Over-Powered House.

How dare you drag our great victory through the mud like that! We negotiated peace, forged powerful treaties, and found that giant scary space crabs can in fact live peacefully side-by-side with bearded space slugs. Not only co-exist, but thrive, and rid the galaxy of the great deceiver (im looking at your LightBlue/Cyan/Teal). Sure it's no great military victory, but I really think we got the galaxy on track for a bigger better future. Seriously though, even if DarkBlue was still active, it would have been a crushing 2v1. His only hope would have been to turn one of us against the other, which I beleive would have been highly unlikely to happen by this point in the game. So yeah... with DarkBlue under AI administration all that is left is to do convince the NP server that the game is over.

Ha! I'm going to use that. Thanks.
21. I really haven't looked into it, but I imagine the FyreUK guys spend quite a bit of time pre-planning their big timelapse builds. I like how they are always building just in front of the camera as it pans around. Crazy.

What class? What difficulty level? Assuming a melee class, and worse case difficulty.
23. Diablo III

That is correct, skill slots are level locked. You'll have to make do until you unlock them all.
24. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 6!

Wait are you even playing? I hate you.
