  1. hope you guys will enjoy deus ex go been hard at work on it for a long while now! by creative process, it's very much like LC GO and Hitman GO, which means that the result plays differently, as the main franchises do. can't wait for people to get their hands on it. we'll be at e3 next week. here's 2 guys discussing how it felt playing it:
  2. Funny: minutes after being amazed at the fact that amazon video knows what actors are on screen in real time, the podcasters find solace in the fact that robots won't be able to know how and when they are talking about the robot overlords on the podcast due to its analog nature.
  3. Unity Tutorials

I wanted to share this tutorial that really helped me a lot in my latest project: It's a guy "rebuilding" a control scheme that is similar to that of Hotline Miami. I used it for a completely different control scheme and type of interaction, but the core functions and operations he used were extremely useful to me. Subject touched: 2d mouse-based control schemes, top down games I hope it can help someone else.
  4. DOTA 2

I think 6.84 was still playing quite nicely. That said, good balance patch. I love how they nerfed and buff various stuff, I like the nerf to euls range, the glimmer cape nerf also. Everything is cheaper in the shops now!
  5. Plug your shit

Sadly I did not do any direct work on LC GO other than peripheral stuff like coffee brainstorms with muh buddies who were lead on it. Hopefully, mine's the next one coming out (fingers crossed!!)
  6. Plug your shit

I want to plug my shit too!! Lara Croft GO, Square Enix Montreal's 3rd game (2nd GO game) is coming out tomorrow. Here's a making of: this game is really good y'all. get it! It's coming out tonight around midnight eastern time.
  7. DOTA 2

Sorry! We won all our games. I even got first blood on brad himself in that game, before having a very underwhelming game as Axe :| Sean seems to have subbed for LoL in their game against Spooky. And only that one. He was on the distruptor. I can only assume it was him because there was a dude called "standaman" in that game.
  8. DOTA 2

Hey by the way, The Rektreational is making a comeback this year, and in a way different format. It's going to be two action-packed weekends of quick eliminations, instead of the 1 game a month pace of last year's tournament.à The tournament starts Saturday July 11 9am PST for the group stages. I'm not sure about Sean's team from last year, I think they didn't sign up as the same 5, but he said he'd look into it a while ago. Square Enix Montreal's team, Poutine King Bar is back though!!!! we gon win. The teams aren't announced yet, we can only see the team names in this challonge page at this point: http://challonge.com/rektreational2 Check out this space: http://rektreational.tumblr.com for announcements.
  9. DOTA 2

I feel gross every time i pick QoP, which isn't often, because I feel gross every time i pick qop. I know she's a succubus and stuff, but it's just... the groans, the lines. ugh. The model itself is small enough in-game it's not a big problem, but in the hero selection page :\ Vote Tiny for arcana! rip invoker.
  10. DOTA 2

This was an incredible play. For those interested, Sean, Brad and his brother Tim and their team (Potato Day) are playing their Rektreational game tonight versus Swaghanims Scepter. It's at 6 7pm Pacific, on twitch.tv/rektreational They're competing for a chance to face US (Poutine King Bar) in the loser's bracket finals. Brackets:http://challonge.com/Rektreational
  11. Idle Thumbs 178: CS Losers

I don't know if you're joking, but I disagree with you. Some people absolutely love to spend some time puzzle solving alone (don't we all, to some extent, do tha while playing sp video games?!) I don't think it's sad at all. If the person's enjoying it, how the hell can anyone challenge that?
  12. DOTA 2

Duuuuudes. We just played our Rektreational games, and it was pretty intense. Our casters were MIA, but a dude volunteer to observe the game and stream it. It's Poutine King Bar (Square Enix Montreal) VS Venomancer?, A bunch of UK journalists with Pyrion Flax and Shane. Pyrion flax had a last minute problem, and couldn't play, but they had 2 standins (and frigging good ones at that!!) Those games aren't good for my blood pressure... http://www.twitch.tv/rektreational/b/572960535
  13. DOTA 2

Hey everyone, I know some of you were waiting for this match-up in the Rektreational (twitch.tv/rektreational) : Poutine King Bar vs. Venomancer? I hardly knew Her Sunday September 28th, 10am EST (7am PST -- 3pm GMT) Sorry west coasters for the early time slot, Veno are in the UK! Pyrion Flax and friends: here we come!
  14. Super Smash Bros. (Spoiler: Snake Kills Ganondorf)

Oh gross, they're splitting the generation in two, basically?
  15. Post Your Game for Playtesting and Feedback!

Thanks for your feedback! Yeah there's a definite lack of content and feedback about what's happening. At first it really seems like nothing's happening, until you grab a few followers and mana. I do want to keep the black box feeling of the simulation, but at the same time, I need some sort of way to tell what the player puts in motion by choosing actions, and what the Vessels are becoming, as they become active in the world. Have you reached a point where you could send missionaries?
