  1. Yeah I really liked Horace and Pete, it's the only show I've actually watched weekly as it came out in probably five or more years. Part of that was just that I wanted to support it so I bought the episodes as soon as he put them up, but there was also the whole short production time so the episodes are really current thing going on, similar to South Park. I'm actually curious as to how well that holds up/will hold up, a lot of the stuff in episodes was so current at the time (within a few days) that it was really weird watching it.

  2. This isn't specific to the right hand, but this is what I used to do to try and build strength and dexterity when I started playing bass and what I still do to warm up. Hopefully this is clear enough to make some sort of sense. What I used to do to warm up was just play patterns up and down the neck, so something simple would be play frets 1-2-3-4 on the E string then the A string, continuing up to the G string then back down. Then I'd move up a fret so 2-3-4-5 and repeat. Do this all the way up to frets 12-13-14-15 and then do it back down the neck. You can then change the pattern so it's frets 2-3-4-1 or 4-3-1-2 or whatever and do the same thing. Then you can do stuff on different strings, what I usually do now is something like 2-(4)-3-(1)-4-(2)-1-(3) where the numbers in parentheses are a string or two above the other notes, so 2-(4) would be either a 5th or an octave. This would be a lot easier with a tab or something, I hope this is at least somewhat intelligible. These exercises are obviously pretty repetitive so I would do it while listening to a song or something because that's a lot less boring than playing to a metronome. Basically just do something along those lines until your fingers/hands/arms get tired (and then stop, definitely don't overdo it) and you'll build up strength and endurance in both hands.

  3. Is there anyway/where to get the community steam controller mapping for a game I don't own on Steam? I just got a Steam controller and wanted to try it with System Shock 2, but I own it on GOG.

Edit: Also how do I read the full descriptions for community configurations? When browsing through them they get cut off after a few lines and I can't figure out how to read the full description.

  4. I've been a pretty big soccer fan for a while, though I'm not as into it as I used to be. When I was in high school and playing on a team + my high school team I was crazy into it and would actually record and watch every single premier league game (10 a week). These days I'm a lot more casual about it and mostly just watch big games and international competitions. I do have season tickets for the San Jose Earthquakes, they started the season alright, but have kind of become just mediocre at this point.

  5. I rewatched all of Daria earlier this year but skipped the movies. I watched the first last night "Is it Fall Yet?" and man I miss Daria. I can't stop listening to the Posies now. Also the movie should definitely be watched in order with the episodes , but oh well it's probably my 4th time watching Daria including when I originally watched it on TV.

  6. The first day of the new season I'll usually play until rank 10 for the chest which is usually about how far I can get before I start losing a lot (I usually get most of the way there on a win streak so it doesn't take many games). After that I accept that I won't get much higher and the rest of the month can just play for fun and not worry about winning/losing. I always make sure to do daily quests, but if I have multiple quests for the same thing I'll do them then not play until my quests are full again. I do arena with the gold but haven't quite figured out drafting the new expansion so haven't done much recently.

  7. So a few days ago Darwyn Cooke, who I considered to be probably the best person currently working in comics, passed away. He was just absolutely incredible, from his design sense to his storytelling everything was just top notch. I still don't really know what to say, but he's for sure going to be missed by a lot of people.

TCJ did a great interview with him in 2007 that's really good and shows how special of a personality he was.

  8. I really liked the music of RDR, if there's more of that I'm excited regardless of how it ends up.

I heard good things about the zombie dlc, but never played it on account of it didn't seem like something I wanted in my spaghetti western game. Was/is it worth playing?

  9. So I guess last week's Venture Bros episode was the season finale and I totally didn't get that feeling from it. I thought there was going to be another episode this past Sunday and when there wasn't I was really confused because it definitely feels like they're stopping in the middle of something.

  10. So I got my Steam Link back in November and it appear to have already died on me. When I turn it on (plug it in) it just sits at the low res screen with a Steam Link on a blue background. I filed a support ticket a week ago and still haven't gotten a response, but from browsing Google it looks like it's going to be an RMA.
