  1. Zorro Joins Double Fine

    HEY REMO, GRATS BRO
  2. anime

I saw that it was in production a little bit back, but there weren't any details so I figured that it'd be a while before it actually turned into something. Interested to check it out.
  3. Diablo III

I played the closed beta which I'm assuming is the same as the open beta, and I couldn't really draw any conclusions from it. The difficulty was just to easy, by which I mean that I couldn't tell what the strengths of each class were since all of them could just auto attack everything to death and never be in any danger. Also only having 2 skill slots available makes it hard to get a feel for how some of the classes play. I like the idea of the demon hunters dual resource system, but without being able to try using multiple skills that either consume one or generate one of the resources I can't really tell how the system will play out. The beta was really short in general, I beat it which each class since it took maybe 45 minutes each run, so it's basically a demo rather than a beta. I'll buy it since I really liked Diablo 1 and 2 and have friends that will get it for the same reason. Whether the game is good or not isn't even really important to me, though I'm sure that worst case scenario it's decent. Playing any sort of co-op game like Diablo, Borderlands, or L4D with my real life friends ends up being fun no matter what so I'm sure I'll get my moneys worth out of it.
  4. Preliminary Mount & Blade thread!

I own all three M&B games and would be down to play any of them.
  5. HA! I saw that guy too, took his weapon, and laughed when his corpse switched to holding my old weapon in the same pose.
  6. So yeah, that was a thing. A really fun thing! Looking forward to next week.
  7. Blood Bowl Cup of Tea: Unofficial TMA League

Yeah that's fine, I need to do some practice/read up about the game more anyways, so this will probably work out for the better anyways
  8. YOUR WOLD!

So since Kickstarters are all the rage I thought I'd share this one. I just saw it while browsing the games on the Kicking It Forward site, the description "The best way to describe this MMORPG is think of all the good things in Second life, WoW, Rift, SWTOR all rolled up into one " is what caught me and I instantly knew this game was pure gold. The guy is only asking for 1.1mil which is a bargain! He may have no experience making games, but as he states "I have been a gamer for over 30 years. I have played everything from Pong to all the current MMORPG games." so hes basically a seasoned vet in the gaming world. It's also worth checking out this guys website, http://www.yourworldinc.com/ where you can read his twitter feed with insightfull posts about the game such as "'Home Alone' Actor Dies in Santa Monica http://t.co/GQvpP5Qz" which was posted 12 hours ago and links to a story from last July. There are other gems such as "go to my kickstarter page and donate $1 and spread the word. I need to raise $1.1m in the next 30 days. I like to get there $1 @ a time."
  9. anime

I read that as "Warning: books." I didn't even know there was a new series, but I love Lupin and while I haven't really watched anything anime in a really long time I'll check this out.
  10. Non-video games

That reminds me of the epic variant of Thunderstone, which is really fun.
  11. Grim Dawn

I own TQ and the expansion and I think that the game is really good, but the loot system is not. I love everything else about the game and am hoping Grim Dawn will fix that.
  12. Non-video games

Yeah I had that problem, I wanted to play non-video games with a few of my friends and they thought that it was the dumbest thing ever. I bought Citadels after seeing it on Shut Up & Sit Down since it's a small box and just cards. Oh that's the thing, they were incredibly against the idea of playing a board game, but they play cards all the time at Starbucks. Anyways I kept trying to get them to play Citadels and every time they said it looked super dumb and laughed at me, and after probably a month one time they said yes as a joke, but then ended up playing it. They liked it so much that when it got too cold to play outside (this was in the winter) they asked if they could come over to play some more instead of going home. One of those guys is also the cousin of of of the Desktop Dungeons guys and when they came from South Africa for GDC they stayed with him and brought Thunderstone. He's now loves that too.
  13. Grim Dawn

So this is now on Kickstarter. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/crateentertainment/grim-dawn?ref=category
  14. Sherlock Holmes and the Aventure of the Kickstarter

Pledged, I hope this gets funded.
  15. "Adults Should Read Adult Boobs" - Joel Stein

I don't really care either way, but if I was on a plane and the guy across the aisle was checking out some young adult boobs, it would be kind of weird.
  16. Movie/TV recommendations

Yeah I've seen that Miles Davis video before and have it in my favorites on youtube, it's awesome.
  17. Movie/TV recommendations

Nice, thanks for reminding me that Sweet Smell of Success is a thing that exists. The soundtrack is so good, best jazz soundtrack I've ever heard.
  18. Non-video games

We certainly should. I'm currently just doing some reading as I'm pretty bad and want to get back into the hang of things before I play people, but I would enjoy playing with someone who won't hate me once I've spent some time refreshing my memory of the game.
  19. DOTA 2

Finally got an invite from my friend, don't know how much I'll be playing as I'm playing a lot of League with real life friends and if I have the option between the two I'll probably play that if a bunch of them are online. It's safe to say however that I will probably never play HoN again.
  20. BioShock 2

Oh god I just remembered watching my friend finish Bioshock 1 this past summer (When I played the game on the 360 I stole his copy so he had never been able to finish it). He went for all the plasmids that boosted wrench attacks and froze targets on hit and stuff, and the boss battle was even worse. He literally would just hold down the trigger and silver surfer would get frozen and there was nothing he could do. He would just attack him over and over and the boss would be frozen the whole time so my friend literally took 0 damage. The flip side was this took forever so it was double boring. He had played the game up to the end and had been waiting to finish it for ages, and that's what he got.
  21. BioShock 2

I thought the idea of having a second Bioshock that is still in Rapture wouldn't work and that a Bioshock game without Ken wouldn't work, but I ended up liking it a lot. I still liked the first game more, and I played it twice; when it came out on PC and then again a month or two before the sequel came out on 360. When I played it on 360 I went for a 100% achievement play-through and ended up missing a single audio log in Andrew Ryan's office which you obviously can only visit once, so yeah that didn't work out. I point that out just because I've never even attempted to get all the achievements in a game, or even cared about achievements in a game. I don't think I'd play Bioshock 2 again, and I got it for 360 and traded my copy in to get something else later on, but it's possible I could since I didn't play Minerva's Den and that does interest me a lot, so it could happen. One thing, I didn't like the way the little sisters looked in the second game, I felt sorry for the ones in the original but in the second game they annoyed me and I wanted to kill them, though I never did. This could also be because in the original game you killed their daddies and they were scared and helpless, and in the second game they loved you and were happy to see you. I also remember liking the ending of Bioshock 2 QUITE A BIT, though I don't really remember what it was. I also loved that one section where you see things a a little sister. That and that alley section in Arkham Assylum are the coolest/ most memorable game moment I've experienced in recent years.
  22. So I'm pretty sure that guy is a satyr, everyone else I didn't want pictures of on my phone. So much skin. SO MUCH SKIN. The women didn't think they needed sunscreen there, BUT THEY DID.
  23. A New Strategy Game for You - What is it?

Bruce brought up the idea if a Malazan strategy game in the episode of TMA on theme and mechanics and I've wanted to see one ever since.
