Does Japantown still have that crepe place? Even though it doesn't really make sense it's what I think of when I think of Japantown just because it's super good, it's been a few years since I've been there though.

The Idle Thumbs Lords Management Consortium - Dota 2, LoL, other Lords Managers unite

Did you play a lot of HoN? Edit: To elaborate, I ask because you're really good, especially for someone with less than 100 games, and also when we played together last you referred to someone as Tempest, Enigma's name in HoN. Edit P.S.: Also to your question, support is my favorite role, but when I'm playing by myself I'll go through phases of playing carries when I'm in a vain mood and just want to win. That being said I always avoid playing CM because for some reason I never win as CM, I'm 1-8 with her. I have a positive W/L with every other support except for Lina who I've only played once in this game. At this point it's totally a mental thing, but I can't play CM. -
Image picked it up and reprinted all the issues in a single trade last year so it qualified for the reprint category.

Is it at the same time as the last one (I think 12 PM Pacific?) -
http://ifanboy.com/articles/and-the-2013-eisner-award-winners-are/ This years Eisners are out. Lot's of indie love, Saga seems to be the biggest winner this year which is no surprise.

When is the next round of this happening? I want to put it in in my phone or something so I don't miss out again. -
Have we already discussed the live action HBO adaptation of Monster in this thread? I totally forgot about it until I was browsing Guillermo del Toro's Wikipedia page after I watched Pacific Rim.

Steven Erikson and The Malazan Book of the Fallen
TheLastBaron replied to Barnastyz's topic in Books
My friend was sort of saying that, but I interpreted it as meaning I should slog through it with the knowledge that it would be better later on. I'll try skipping to the second book then. -

My friend has been reading these recently, I think he's currently finishing up book 6. I started reading the first book, but so far I'm only at 10% finished according to my Kindle so I don't have much to say about it yet. -

I listened to so much AFI when they were a punk band. -
Just a bump to let people know this is part of today's Summer Sale deals. Edit: Also, my Runic account is TheLastBaron

My old account is coming up on 10 years, but it now belongs to my friend since I let him use it to play L4D when it came out and ended up just buying another copy and starting a new account. I kind of miss that account though because it has the Half Life Platinum collection on it.

I got this when it was a flash sale yesterday, is there anyone else who just picked it up and wants to play?
-
Wow I didn't even realize that. There's always some indie games that are crazy cheap but I don't see them because they aren't on the front page I remember in the winter sale Zeno Clash was 99 cents and I almost missed it. Anyways I've owned BTDT since it came out, but I now have two giftable copies of it in my inventory. I love the trading card system now.

I got a foil HL2 card and sold it for $4.00. That's like 1-2 games.

Everything I can think of is just doing something on your turn to set up your next turn. I think it has to do with how much of the playing area you can see. In Civ V and X-COM you can't see everything in the entire game at once so you take things one or two turns at a time (well not in Civ). In Go (or Chess) you see the entire board and on your opponents turn they only do one thing as opposed to moving a whole bunch of things so you can start anticipating and looking ahead more. I guess in games the closest to this would be a board based tactical game (like Banner Saga), though still I think that's mostly just the two moves ahead thing.

Beat me to it. -
I was thinking about it, but after the sale I games will cost normal people prices so it would kind of even out. I have a lot of cards that I put up for like $0.25 that have dropped like most things down to the $0.15-.0.10 range and I'm not going to bother to take them down and re-list them, so maybe I'll sell them after this thing is over.

She's only been in one episode so far, she was just introduced, so I can't really tell. And when I said it goes from good to bad a lot I meant really good, but I find it inconsistent. I'm still really enjoying it and have watched 8 hour long episodes of it in two days, so that says something. Edit: Also I really like Mighty Boosh, but mostly the first season. After that it went downhill for me.

I'm like 6 episodes into Orange is the new Black. So far my thoughts are it alternates between good and bad a lot and I don't like the main character. On the other hand I love the guy with the mustache.

We could try and get a thumbs game going, I got the game at launch but didn't finish it (I was busy one night and my friends played without me and I got left behind) so I'd be down to play.
-
So far I've only bought a couple things that were all around $1-2 so I've managed to fund it all with trading cards.
-
Yep, unfortunately SS was the humble weekly sale a couple weeks back so I already have all the games. Still a steal for anyone who hasn't picked any of the games up.

Oh god I forgot it was happening, whoops. Hopefully this happens again as I picked up the game and would be stoked to play. -
Torchlight 2 was the community choice sale last night for $5 and I considered buying it with my trading card money, but decided to wait it out.
