Do you live in the Shire?

The episode about the Uncle's son was really good.

There's a new Humble Bundle. None of the games were ones I was actively planning on buying, but I didn't own any of them so I bought it.

Bioshock Finite: Irrational Games shuts down
TheLastBaron replied to gregbrown's topic in Video Gaming
That headline as well as the follow-up "BioShock studio caught in the Rapture" are both solid gold and you're just jealous you didn't think of them first. -
I've heard from a few different people like Kenny Young at Media Molecule that the show Grand Designs is an excellent show to watch as it's a great analog for working on a game at a big studio.

The normal way seems pretty good. http://31.media.tumblr.com/5105232d2016c2e47770a72a9cbd9595/tumblr_migbryZVkm1s6q7jvo1_1280.jpg

That was season 3, there's been two more seasons since then.

Well all the games I've played ended really fast because of what you said about one team getting someone with a really good draft of abilities. Also I don't like all mid because it means instead of having a match you have one 30 minute team fight. There's no ganking or split pushing or anything that isn't team fighting. In a drafting mode that just seems really boring to me.

Uh Brock gets really developed later and I don't think the writing ever gets lazy, but based on what you're saying I can't tell if you'll like the show in the later seasons.

Regarding paying a fee for a digital version of a card game, what would stop you from getting a game, getting the digital copy, then selling the game to someone else who doesn't care about having a digital copy? Also I personally don't mind paying full price for digital, I would probably even pay a little more just to not have to deal with cartridges.
-
How long would you want it to be? All the games I've played have been around 20 minutes which seems fine for this. I also would definitely not like it being an all mid mode, the only all mid mode I like is same hero, I like the face that in this mode you still have to draft for a role.

I think it's really fun.

Did anyone else ever level up sneak by sneaking around people's rooms when they were asleep?
-
Well in Oblivion you could enchant your gear and get 100% chameleon and then just walk around and kill people, or just go into the portals and just walk to the end.
-
By the way, if anyone is interested in trying their hand at audio implementation Wwise (audio middleware) includes Limbo in the installer so you can mess around with that.
-
I've read a decent amount of the books, I'd recommend them if you like the game, though I'd also recommend stopping after the first big arc (It's like 70-80 issues so it's still a lot to read)

I've used mIRC since like 1998 and I actually don't know if I've ever even tried another client. I think maybe something for my phone.

So I guess AMC are making Preacher into a show. I don't really have high hopes for it, but if at the very least it gets people to check out the comic, which Imo is one of the best series there is, then that's cool.

I think the Steam forums are probably a better place to look.

The Idle Thumbs Lords Management Consortium - Dota 2, LoL, other Lords Managers unite
TheLastBaron replied to Sean's topic in Multiplayer Networking
I tried inviting you, but you're already in the maximum number of guilds. By the way, I could be wrong, but as far as I know the only way for me to add people is from inside Dota 2 meaning the IdleThumbs chat. I don't think I can add people directly from their steam profiles. I'll try leaving my client running so I can see people that post in the chat while I'm afk and add them next time I'm on. -
II don't know how but after 15 years it's still not old for me, I love Uncle too much.

It's not an actual idea for a game, but I want to make a game where instead of having sound effects there are just a bunch of different audio tracks and ambient stems playing all the time and everything you do just dynamically mixes them or adds processing to certain sounds so that there's still the impact of the sound changing in response to your actions, but sound isn't actually being created. The main inspiration for this was when I was thinking about how great the sound design for all the abilities in Dota is, but when thinking about it I think my favorite ability is Global Silence which literally just mutes sound for all the players on the other team. There's also SSX which has a really cool audio engine that does a bunch of real time music remixing in response to trick in the game you do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=tLiA1dbMpls#t=98s

I wouldn't call Dota heroes watered down Blizzard ripoffs, I would call them characters form Blizzard games. Also there's nothing ironic about Dota heroes having the same names as blizzard characters, they're the same characters. Skeleton King was called King Leoric in DotA because it was King Leoric form Diablo. Same with Butcher and Furion and Thrall and most everyone. By the way this could probably have just been a post in the thread for the episode instead of it's own thread. I just suggest that as it might get more views/discussion from people who will see the title of this thread and just decide to back away slowly.

I was planning on watching Come And See today but somehow I ended up watching Jackie Chan Adventures.
