Welp, I saw a face in it and now it'll never be the same again. The kneecap is like a nose and above that is an eyebrow and the eye is in shadow.

Your knees don't look like that...? Uh oh

It's supposed to be Batman mixed with this since it's this guy taking over for Bruce Wayne. II think they're both just goofy

I would argue that the first 9 seasons and especially the first 5 or so are as good if not better than anything that has ever been on television.

Oh my. Adventure Vision is back.

Everything Kelly Jones ever did on batman was super over the top and exaggerated. Definitely not my cup of tea.
-
If it makes you feel better I'm pretty sure no one likes Kelly Jones.

Batman and Robin is still probably top 3 for me behind Returns and Forever purely because of my love for the Cloon-dog

So yesterday when the Humble daily deal was CKII related I saw that one of the things in the bundle was a CKII novel and I started wondering does anyone read novels of video games? I think there's some from Dragon age and such, and I remember people in 6th grade reading Halo books back when it was the biggest game ever and people were super excited for Halo 2. I remember I even read a couple Warcraft books back when I was super deep into WC3 and WoW had just come out, but I haven't read anything besides those. Has anyone here ever read a licensed novel for a video game? Was it good? Was it bad? There are also comic books so I guess if you've read a comic book for a video game that's fair game in this thread as well, though I'm assuming no one has (I personally have not).

That's been on the bottom shelf of the comics section of my local B&N for a really long time and up until now I actually just assumed it was an art book. I should see if it's still there next time I'm around (assuming it is as its been there for a long long time). I have zero problem with people talking about comics, I'd love it, I just assumed no one had since I figured most people saw them as quick cash ins rather than actual attempts to expand the universe for a game like some novels.

Man, Knight Quest was such a piece of shit. To be fair to the suit I think it was supposed to be ridiculous and obnoxious since it was Jean Paul Valley designing a super high tech murder suit and it's half Azrael half Batman. Still though, I hate the suit and I hate that whole big arc.

Dota Today 12: Creating a Gestalt with Aaron Ayesee Chambers
TheLastBaron replied to Sean's topic in Dota Today Episodes
I mean if you just look at his orb and his passive, one gives him bonus damage from his mana pool and the other raises his mana pool as well as having a chance to restore mana so he can constantly spam it. His skills have a lot of synergy -
By stiff and awkward I meant like it seemed like he was just reading a script the whole time, even when he wasn't supposed to be reading news copy. A lot of times that's an issue with the writing though, I dunno. Something about it was really fake and distracting to me.

So I started listening to Night Vale and it's interesting, but I really don't like the narration. I get that this isn't a professional thing and the guy isn't a professional VO artist, but man it's just super stiff and awkward to listen to. It's been around for a while so maybe he's gotten better, should I try listening to a recent episode and give it another shot?

Well the thing that the show is being based on didn't really have Batman, except in the abstract sense that he existed in the world. He was a big part of the series, but in the sense that the show was about the cops at GCPD and when you are a cop in a city where Batman exists there's a complicated relationship, especially because at this point Gordon is retired so no one on the force is buddies with Batman. Basically to the public when things go right Batman gets the credit, and when they don't it's because the police are incompetent and so most of the detectives resent him. He's still not that big of a deal though, the focus is much more on regular cop drama and then having cops deal with villains like Two-Face and the Joker as opposed to normal people committing crimes. The series didn't use any particularly famous characters outside of the villains, who showed up very rarely, it didn't even have Gordon or Bullock who are probably the most famous people at the GCPD. The only "well known" characters in the series are Renee Montoya, Maggie Sawyer, and I guess Jim Corrigan. Oh well, I guess I should just accept that if the series got cancelled despite all the critical acclaim and awards it got then the chances of it getting made into a TV show are basically zero. I'm still bitter though because Gotham Central is so good and when they first announced it was being made into a show I got my hopes up.
-
If they had kept it Gotham Central you would have gotten one. If you like here you should check out the second trade/arc of the series as she's the main character in it (she's a main character in the whole series, but I mean the plot specifically revolves around her). The series won an Eisner for that specific arc.
-
But it seems like they are making it about Batman. It also seems like they're not actually making it about the justice system, they're making it about a whole bunch of origin stories for every single Batman villain happening at once. They took Gotham Central and then just kind of completely changed it to shoehorn in a bunch of shit.

So I watched the trailer for Gotham and dear lord it's a mess. For one thing, well all know Gordon wasn't the detective on the Wayne murders! Everyone knows it was Slam Bradley! What's wrong with giving Slam Bradley his own show?

I hate Far Cry 2, what am I doing wrong?

Is there a mod that changed the camps of guys constantly respawning? That kind of ruined the game for me, I just wanted to drive around and explore and enemies just kept respawning all the time and it became a chore. -
Everyone I know who saw it liked it, but I'm not paying $12-20 for a movie so there's no chance I'm watching it in theatres.

Did anyone else get Wayne Brady a while back?
-
I love it, get this man a job ASAP.

If I really didn't like the first issue of Sex Criminals what are the chances that reading more issues will change my mind about the series? I've already said I'm not a huge fan of Matt Fraction, so I'm assuming chances are slim. I got the feeling that the novelty of the premise was going to get old kind of fast and that there wasn't much to do to expand it, but I could be wrong. On the other hand I really like the other Image series Sex.

Why are people even arguing with him, he's already proven before he's some kind of economics super prodigy.

I have finals right now so I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but my mom has. She played all the old games, even the DOS ones, so I bought her it for Mother's day. She likes it, but I don't know how much that means.
