  1. Nuclear Throne: Oh! I accidentally ate my gun.

I remember watching the guy who did the audio for this streaming some stuff probably 6-8 months ago on twitch of him doing some work for this, it seemed cool.
  2. San Francisco Residents!

I've never seen a car on fire, but I have seen plenty of cars flip over in front of me.
  3. Other podcasts

I was current with it from when it started up until around episode 25-30, but I haven't had as much time to listen to it so I'm months behind now. I should try and catch up sometime though as I really like it, especially as someone who was super into the PC Gamer UK podcast
  4. The Wolf Among Us

That's the very first thing I thought of when I saw this, that it would make for a cool Borderlands cosplay
  5. Comics Extravaganza - Pow Bang Smash!

This is not my impression. I mean I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "doing well", though. I actually hear a lot more about books from Marvel than DC. I think for the most part people consider the execution of the whole New 52 to be a complete failure. On the other hand between Daredevil and Hawkeye Marvel have been snatching up a ton of Eisners the past couple years. Then there's also books like Thor which are absolutely top quality (I would consider Jason Aaron's run on Thor to be the best since Jack Kirby, assuming one is a Kirby fan). Also just in terms of buzz about Marvel there was the triple play of female Thor, black Captain America, and Stark Industries basically becoming Apple which were all covered in the mainstream news. On the flip side I guess Batgirl is getting a new costume (I googled Batgirl to see what you were referring to). So from my point of view DC has been in a pretty big slump the past few years compared to Marvel. Also if doing well is just strictly sales I'm happy if any company is doing well because compared to how much they make from licensing and movies, for both Warner Bros and Disney making comics is almost a vanity project. That being said, I'm probably not the best person to represent the perspective of mainstream comics fans as I personally don't read too many big two books (I am not currently reading an ongoing series from either company on a monthly basis, though I did recently pick up the collection of the new volume of Batman Black and White). Just based on the stack of comics on my desk next to me I have one book from a big two publisher which is Stuck Rubber Baby (Vertigo). In that same stack I also have a book from adhouse, a book from Image, two from Topshelf, and three from First Second (I'm counting Boxers and Saints as one book).
  6. San Francisco Residents!

So I'm at Levi's Stadium (the new stadium that was just built for the San Francisco 49ers) and it's kind of weird. The stadium has its own app you install and for food you just order it on your phone and then go pick it up when it's ready (or have it delivered to your seat). It's the future.
  7. That actually made me laugh out loud on public transit.
  8. Movie/TV recommendations

I don't see why not liking Captain America would mean he shouldn't have gone to see this.
  9. I was reading some old issues of Batman Black and White because the new trade came out last week and got to the issue Olly wrote and could only think of this thread and couldn't pay attention to the story.
  10. Movie/TV recommendations

I started watching DuckTales and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. It's as good if not better than I remember it from when I used to watch this as a kid whenever I would visit my grandparents.
  11. San Francisco Residents!

How do they do things there? I ask because there's a ridiculously popular ramen place here (Orenchi Ramen) and they're open something like 11:30 to 1:30 and you basically have to get there at 11 and put your name down if you want to be in the first round of people to be seated/eat. If you get there at the actual time that they open you're going to be waiting around 45 minutes to an hour for it to get to your name and if you get there at 12-12:30 there's a decent chance they won't get to your name on the list before they run out (they just stay open until they run out of ramen). Is Ramen Dojo similar?
  12. DOTA 2

Yeah I would say it's probably around 10% or less for me too that people try and fountain camp. I do solo queue all pick as well. I also had a 80 minute game the other day and it made me realize that I haven't had an amazing comeback game in a long time, probably well over a year, that wasn't directly related to poor play both in terms of how we catch up and why we're behind to begin with. It almost feels worse than losing because it's so undeserved and unrewarding.
  13. DOTA 2

The other option is to not play matchmaking and just play inhouse leagues. I don't know what the best public ones are, I think Team Liquid might have one, but if you do that you can just gg as well as benefit from the other things that come along with organized play/not using matchmaking. I would say the significant majority of the dota I've played at this point, both Dota 2 and WC3, has been inhouse leagues. I have almost 3,000 hours played and only a little over 600 regular matches.
  14. Movie/TV recommendations

I actually can't stand Deadpool. He's like okay in small doses and as a supporting character he can be enjoyable, but every time I try and read something where he's the main focus I end up hating it. I really tried to like the original ongoing from the late 90's but he was just too much (and I normally really like Joe Kelly). Maybe the movie will be different though.
  15. Awful Day-Ruining Bugs

The thing is I want things constantly thrown in my face to remind me they exist instead of just occasionally browsing through a list/bookmarks of things to see if any of them are things that I forgot existed.
  16. Breaking Bad

Yeah this is a really good way of putting it, I really liked the last season.
  17. DOTA 2

It was the same lineup as Alliance now but Eternal Envy instead of EGM, EE being the captain and the person who created the team. They won Dreamhack and then kicked EE citing the language barrier (EE was the only non-swede). Needless to say when they went on to win TI3 he was pretty pissed.
  18. DOTA 2

A reverse NoTideHunter if you will
  19. DOTA 2

People resign in top level chess, in fact most games don't end in checkmate.
  20. DOTA 2

I still find it really weird just how bad Fnatic are given that in HoN they were far and away the best team of all time. Their roster is the same and their players have moments where a high level of skill shines through, but then they do really poorly.
  21. DOTA 2

Twig you can like Liquid now
  22. Movie/TV recommendations

I mean I did enjoy Family Guy when it was originally on. I was really glad when Adult Swim picked it up.
  23. Nintendo 3DS

I don't think it has HD in the title, I think it's just called the Ace Attorney Trilogy or something, but it is being marketed as higher definition as everything has been redrawn and is higher resolution which I'm fine with.
  24. Movie/TV recommendations

Yeah I was just about to say this. I don't watch any of his shows, but I'm fine with him if he helps bring back things that I like.
  25. Nintendo 3DS

I'll echo other people's thoughts on the 3d. I never used 3d on my 3ds and the the slider snapped off so I have no way of turning it on now, but it doesn't bother me.
