I just played through this on PS3 a year or two ago so it's still probably too soon for me to give it another go, but I really liked it. I always feel bad in games like this when I have a group of people who I always use and the rest I never use and they suck. When I played through this I made an effort to use a lot of people because I was in the mindset from XCOM at the time of trying to make sure I wasn't relying on someone too much in case they died. I really hated some of them though.

HOTS... no the other HOTS. The Lords Management one damn it!

The main thing that confuses me is why Blizzard would make HotS and make it and market it for players who are interested in a more casual game than what's currently out there and try and make it into an esport. Maybe it's less of Blizzard themselves pushing it and more the other organizations seeing a new potential market and jumping on it, but when I see companies like EG and Fnatic picking up Idra and Naniwa, the two best non-Koreans in Starcraft (and also players who had shitty attitudes and only got by because they were so good and even then still both got dropped by their team) it's kind of weird. -
Same. I remembered a couple of his tweets that were mostly jokey like the movie should be called zero gravity and the one about her hair not floating. I also remembered the tweet where he said he liked the film very much. Looking at that list of all of them they seem to be him either pointing out really obvious things (like the hair) or explaining things that most people probably don't know like the heights of the orbits. The only tweets where I feel like he's criticizing anything are the one about 2001 and the one about no one enjoying real people set in space.

My main problem is just how stupid they all look. If they weren't all so punchable I'd have a much easier time getting over the car/road trip. As it is I hate them all and despite knowing nothing about the game I'm already imagining them talking to each other and having super terrible dialogue and voice acting which probably won't be the case, but I've already extrapolated that trailer into a whole game in my head and am judging it based on those haircuts.

For what it's worth I get lag even in local multiplayer. -
Overwatch - That time Blizzard made a non-Diablocraft game.

I thought the competitive scene for TF2 was really fun for a while, though I personally haven't played the game in years. I still watch some ESEA pugs every now and then though. Did Valve say what their intended number of players was when designing the game? I know you can play with more but just based on the maps I always felt like it was intended to be 6v6 in the same way that Counter Strike is meant to be 5v5, but that could just be the result of the community leaning towards maps that play best as 6v6 giving me a biased impression. -

Enemy Territory had one, it was a fun game too. The other Splash Damage games probably do too, but I haven't played them. -
Locke & Key is really really good, I strongly recommend it.

Yeah the Carol Danvers movie is the one I'm interested in.

It kind of sucks that Soule goes exclusive with Marvel and then a month later his book gets canned. Regarding the art I'm glad it doesn't look like the covers. Kevin Wada has a very Phil Noto-esque style and while the covers are gorgeous I don't think that style usually works well in interiors (whenever Noto does interiors the art is usually pretty stiff). The interiors are done by Javier Pulido who has a very simple style, but the story telling is top notch and the art is still really good. It reminds me of Marcos Martin or Paolo Rivera so if you've ever read Private Eye or recent Daredevil stuff it's very similar (and if you haven't read any Daredevil I'd recommend the Mark Waid run if you're interested in something else that focuses on a lawyer)

I really liked Simpsons Hit and Run, though it's kind of old now and I don't know how it holds up.

My XL barely makes it a day, if I don't plug it in at night it's dead in the morning.

Speaking of Archie Horror, the new Sabrina series came out on Wednesday. I haven't picked it up and I probably wont for a while since if I'm going to read a witch book I still need to pick up Rachel Rising by Terry Moore, but I've heard good things.

Hatred: The Most Despicable Game of All Time?
TheLastBaron replied to Architecture's topic in Video Gaming
In regards to games like CoD I'd agree, but in regards to open world games like GTA a lot of the appeal comes from being able to cause chaos in a civilian setting (hence the title of the series). Most of the people I know focus on the sandbox angle when playing GTA and just run around killing people. When I played Vice City I didn't even do any missions, I just used the all guns cheat and ran around shooting people. I think the fidelity of the game and tone are the main things keeping it from being off-putting. -
I played one a long time ago because I used to really like Harvest Moon games and I found it enjoyable in the same vein, but I don't remember much about it specifically.

Hatred: The Most Despicable Game of All Time?

I'm kind of in the middle here. I get what you're saying, but I think in a lot of games the point is still to kill people just because you can and there's just some contrived justification slapped on top to make the player feel better. -
I backed at bloodline level, but I don't know if I want to dump a lot of time into it now or just wait until it's done.

Hatred: The Most Despicable Game of All Time?
TheLastBaron replied to Architecture's topic in Video Gaming
I actually find it kind of worse in a lot of ways to try and engineer a reason and make the player should be comfortable killing people. Something like Hatred makes me super uncomfortable and would make me stop playing whereas something like GTA makes me happy to keep playing and I don't know what is worse. It reminds me of a long time ago when I was playing Far Cry 2 (lol) and I got to a part where I was on a mission to break into some guy's base and kill him. I took out all the guards and made my way into his room which was an office and he was sitting at a desk. He started talking to me and he told me he knew I was there to kill him and that he wasn't going to try to stop me and I walked over to him with my pistol out. He looked up at me and said something and I pointed the gun at his head and shot him. That made me feel so uncomfortable that I quit the game immediately and haven't played since. -

I don't think they are either, which is why I said I don't give the developers any credit. Regardless of how this game came about I'm still glad it exists, though glad is too strong of a word. -

I watched the trailer before reading any of these comments and seeing that the people making the game didn't like art games and actually assumed that it was an art game. In that context I liked it and now that I know it wasn't the intention of the developers I still like it, I just don't give them any credit. I find it more absurd that games exist that encourage players to do the same things that this game does, but they want you to empathize with the main character. If I end up getting GTA V when the PC port is out this will probably make me self-conscious about the way I play. -
The best part was when they brought her back as a black lantern and she was just a black refrigerator. No matter who they have in the movie I probably won't see it (as someone who has read every single gold and silver age GL issue). I still hope it's not Kyle Rayner though, I dislike him so much. I did get excited when they announced Taika Waititi as Pieface in the last GL movie, but I ended up not seeing it.

Man Sharks fans are acting like winning their first three games of the season means the series against the Kings didn't happen. They remind me of Arsenal fans with the way they go through cycles of delusional confidence at the start of every season and then end up wallowing in self pity when they choke.
