  1. Achievement-ocalypse

The only achievements I care about are the ones that say you completed a game just because it's nice to be able to look back and see when you played and completed it. Otherwise, achievements are fun but I couldn't really care less if they went away or not.
  2. Sir, You Are Being Hunted

This game is right up my alley. I cannot wait to play it.
  3. Steel Batallion: Heavy Armor for Kinect

From what I heard about this game on the Bombcast, I cannot wait to get it. Seriously, I am so happy that this game is coming out and that there are finally Kinect games that support controllers.
  4. Halo 4

I agree that it was nice having Halo continue to be its own thing when most others were following CoD. I wonder if they put in Ranked and Un-ranked (old Halo style) playlists, would enough people play the old style or is the allure of unlocks too great?
  5. GDC 2012

    Sounds good to me!
  6. GDC 2012

EDIT: Wait, is it taboo to have your avatar be your face? I haven't really used forums since the early 2000s. Should I get rid of mine in favour of a nice camel with pyramid backdrop?
  7. Steam Box

    Yes! This!
  8. New people: Read this, say hi.

Welcome! I am like you, been a lurker/listener for a long time but only recently snagged a membership. @Kolzig Thanks for that link to the old archive! It's great to see that it still exists.
  9. Tribes: Ascend

Chaddicus here. Add me up, thumbs!
  10. Steam Box

I have a beast of a PC already, but given that the price is reasonable I would totally buy a Steam Box for my TV and for little LAN parties when a friend comes over.
  11. Assassin's Creed: Mohawk

I like when I have a meter or reticule to let me know how hidden my character is, such as the eye in Skyrim. It feels more natural to me that way, as if my actions matter instead of it being an on/off mechanic like taking cover. I am not against a cover system, I'm just saying that I would be less immersed if stealth relied on one.
  12. Assassin's Creed: Mohawk

    Agreed.
  13. Assassin's Creed: Mohawk

I was intrigued by the game before, but now that I've seen shots of it I am really interested. I guess it's time that I finally play through the series.
  14. Journey (thatgamecompany's next thing)

Yeah, I would love a PC version. The game looks beautiful, so maxing it out on a high resolution monitor sounds good to me.
  15. Journey (thatgamecompany's next thing)

*cringe* Don't get me wrong, I love when games are unique, but comments like that sure make it difficult for me to take the writer seriously.
  16. Tribes: Ascend

I have been playing Tribes: Ascend a lot lately. It seems to be picking up steam, especially since it is now in Open Beta. I actually watched a couple competitive matches on nasl.tv last night and found it more entertaining than I thought I would have. I doubt it will ever be as popular an e-sport as StarCraft II, but I love that the game is still in Beta and it already has a competitive scene.
  17. Assassin's Creed: Mohawk

    My thoughts exactly.
  18. Starbreeze's Syndicate

I am enjoying Syndicate so far, especially its atmosphere. My only nitpicks are that I wish I could change the FOV and that the bloom wasn't so intense (even though I love the lighting and colours of this game). I also have yet to play co-op, but it looks like something I will love from what I have seen on Giant Bomb.
  19. Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs

I love Amnesia, but even if I didn't I would consider this game for the name alone. XD
  20. New people: Read this, say hi.

Hello. I'm Chad, been a fan of Idle Thumbs for years but am only signing up to the forums now. I know, shame on me. Though I am a kickstarter backer, so that sorta makes up for it, right? Right?! Anyway, video games. I love 'em. And literature and.. well, all the usual stuff. I'm primarily a PC gamer, started on a 486 as a young boy and my heart has been with the PC ever since. Sometimes a console gamer, though. See ya around!
