we're in the back half, so i think things will start ticking back up. also, carrying over the #2 bid is genius for driving prices up. i finally went for what i wanted: Shroud of the Avatar (haha), and got it on my morning commute for 21,000, which was 2,500 more than the lowest one I saw. a good price for an early access game, which i assume won't see a sale for a long time?

episode 200: a boutonnière rolls down a hill congrats!

Look, all I'm going to say is that if you haven't seen all 13,000 episodes of As The World Turns you have no business talking about television.

Hatred: The Most Despicable Game of All Time?
feelthedarkness replied to Architecture's topic in Video Gaming
I also can't help but think that it looks like everyone the guy is "featured" killing in the video looks to be black, hispanic, or asian? awful lot of black cops in the world of hatred. -
I love this post.

oh man, a badge for winning an auction?

Are the games donated by the dev/pub or did Valve buy them? It seems like some are trading below what a typical wholesale might be? I always heard the markup was only like 30% wholesale to retail with games, but I don't know for sure.
-
i wonder if big retail games won't fall below ~15000 gems, as around that point it would be worth it to bid that, and try to resell it for human currency?
-
the one game i'm going to try and get went from 76,000 to 39,900. i'm not sure that by the end of 3 days it will drop down to the 5k or whatever i have. 39,900 is like $27.50 right now.

The Prisoner - 2 year series from 1967 - 68, a 17 episode master class of cold war paranoia meets surrealism that sets the stage for basically all modern TV. Great commitment to modern style, midcentury furniture, etc...

haha! I'm #67 on a game I want with 1650, and the high bid is a bit over 30k, so I suspect it might not be out of the realm of possibility to get something.
-
Since it only shows you the high bid, out of 100 possible winners, it's possible that person is hundreds times over the median. I would say the more useful number is number of bids. i assume a lot of people had a TON of junk stocked up, because a lot of the top bids on the front page convert to being more than current retail!
-
man, whoever controlled that junk bot is gonna be the scrooge mcduck of steam gems.

Over thanksgiving at her folk's house the lady and I took our annual holiday card picture, and I'm pretty tickled with how it came out.

Though in theory they're the ones with the "complaints" so how are they going address their complaints when they've blocked any of the people they need to complain to?

the one really good bug i had was pausing it right at the start of combat, setting my initial attacks, then accident hitting spacebar when i went to unpause, and when it started Cassandra jumped like 50 feet straight up, and landed by the enemies. She took a ton of falling damage, but she cleared some debris barriers.

1) Every good accusatory article contains at least three edits, and a request for contact post publishing. 2) Going after Redshirt is just sad. A somewhat poorly reviewed, and (as near as I can tell) not tremendously successful first time solo developer? It's almost like there is something else about this developer that is of interest to the mob. 3) Even if all the stuff they already corrected was absolutely true, is THIS the threat? Some small time indie game that racked up 16 total metacritic reviews? An honorable mention in some indie game showcase? THIS is what you want to spend your time on? Lets pretend this is awash in utter bacchanalian corruption: the grand collusion still didn't really manage to move any needles. Well fought lil warriors, well fought.

Whoa! Really? How did you know it was that?

I agree with the sentiment, but it's also immediately tempered by my suspicion that you're not seeing a stormtrooper, but a main character in a stormtrooper uniform. I very strongly dislike JJ's treatment of the Star Trek stuff, not the least of which is the 2nd movie which is a slapdash remake Kahn, trading on plot points without the benefit of earning the history. Specifically reversing Kirk/Spock's roles in the end, and then almost immediately hitting the undo button. Blech. Anyway, I will bet you all 1,000 spacebucks he's recycling Luke/Han stealing the uniforms. Also, while I'm ranting. The medieval sabersword: I'm really not some purist, but I think it's a distinction that implies missing a larger point. The original fights were samurai duels, given Lucas' Kurosawa inspiration. They were low on kinetic action, because the drama was in the mind. That has been slowly eroded over the years with all the CGI flippy action, so seeing this thing doesn't inspire confidence.

I didn't see it mentioned in the last few pages, and I kind of assume people already know, but if not, the PC version defaults to a locked 30 FPS for the cut scenes. Mine looked pretty choppy at first. You can unlock that by making a shortcut on your desktop for DAI, and adding a line to tweak the frostbyte engine (relevant text in bold, as your install location is likely different): "E:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\DragonAgeInquisition.exe" -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+

A prosecutor can say anything at a GJ, since there is no defense attorney presence. Obviously, there is no benefit to straight up lying, because all that will be crushed once the real trial started, but they could. Also, he presented conflicting evidence when he only had to present evidence that told the story he wanted. It makes Wilson's testifying at the GJ insane. He isn't allowed his union rep or lawyer. The prosecutor could badger him relentlessly about anything, without having to prove relevance.

Ugh. Also, good job on the 70% white grand jury in a town that's 71% black.
