  1. I am a horrible scaredy cat, I think the scaryest movie I have seen is paranormal activity and the same goes for games. Stalker is probably the scaryest game i can 'play', but even then i just stick to shooting men rather than monsters. I even got scared in some of oblivions dungeons. I was wondering how much other people can tolerate?
  2. Highly Polished Competitive Games

Is planet side 2 one? its kinda in the middle, with hardcore clans that can just wreck fools. But there is also solo foot troops that are more casual. But everyone is contributing to the war effort.
  3. How far will you go for a scary game?

I felt that the orginal portal was a bit sinister, the rooms that you find with writing on the wall. I really didnt like that haha
  4. Far Cry 2

i loved using the dart gun and silenced mp5, i remeber sitting across a river opposite a large complex at night. Picking a couple of guys with my dart gun. Slowely moving through the water with my mp5 and went through the entire base, killing everyone. but no alarm sounded and no one shouted out. Got to my target, took the inforamtion, shot him in the head with a silenced pistol and left. No one knew i was there. I felt like the most bad ass ops agent ever.
  5. Assassin's Creed II

true, i used to just load it up and run over the roof tops, killing gaurds etc and then just turn it off. Not even bothering with the story. The only reason i progressed was to get better moves/wepons to make the combat easier, am i right in thinking that you didnt get a counter until you kill the first target? because countering was the only way i used the combat.
  6. How far will you go for a scary game?

Actualy thinking about it i have seen Prometheus and Sunshine and didnt mind them. Weird.
  7. Assassin's Creed II

    yeah the ending was teribble...
  8. Sleeping Dogs

I havent spoiled it with that coment dont worry, but i just felt that it wasnt that belivable. And your undercover, so anything you do to gain trust of the triad wont matter, why would the police care? and the suspicion of the traids just disapears after a killing a guy with a gun, really? i just kicked the living shit out of hundereds of people (inculding putting peoples heads through saw blades) why would they care if wei put a bullet in someones head?
  9. Assassin's Creed II

i didnt find it that bad, i just liked running around the city killing dudes, which eventaly lead to the completion of it haha
  10. Sleeping Dogs

So i completed it lastnight and i feel that it was a good game over all, I did like the gangster side to the story, but i just felt weird helping out cops when i am meant to be undercover. Wouldnt you just blow your cover?
  11. Assassin's Creed II

It happened to me when returning to Far Cry 2 last year, becasuse it was so long since it was released the servers to verify copys had gone down. I had to just find a patch that removes the DRM as it wouldnt let me play, even though i have the 'special' edition. Thats customer service right there.
  12. Assassin's Creed II

This weekend i started going through my steam back catalogue (spurred on by the forum post about games you own but dont play) and started Ass Creed 2. I tried to play it a couple of months back, but a bug an hour in that wouldnt let me progress lead to its quick dissapearence off my hard drive. So this weekend I downlaoded it through steam and everything was fine, it gave me a activation code, and then the 'Ubi-play' DRM came on. It went downhill from there. Punched in the activation code and it said it was already tied to a different account. But I did play it a couple of months ago on the same account, and now i cant get past this screen to continue. I had really bad internet rage for a while, Why should people who pay for the product get the shitty end? I know im late to the party on this, but its the first time it has effected me. Anyway i have no problem pirating it now, i payed for it. I should be able to play it. Will post up my impressions as i go on, as i completed the original should be good to compare them.
  13. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

The last level of GTA 4 somehow stumped me, i was on pc, i think it was the controls and i couldnt afford a gamepad at the time. Also STALKER where i just couldnt bring my self to go through another sewer/underground base, I just shat bricks every time I encountered a bloodsucker (dudes that could go invisiable).
  14. The problem i have is when i want a indie game that goes on sale with 3 others in a bundle, which is normaly cheaper than buying it on its own. So i have a bunch of games that i dont actualy want to play filling out my steam list.
  15. Chris Roberts' new space combat sim

Well Freelancer was one of my childhood games so it has definitely made an imprint on me and i adored it. For someone that has never really liked a joystick, i thought the mouse controls were a good compramise. For all the game this pitch is spitting, i am very interested in it.
  16. Team Fortress 2 Co-op! Mann vs. Machine

I have only used the engineer with standard level 3 sentry and sentry controller (forgot what its called) i really like using this as it has a good range if you can get a open strait. I have also been buying the mini sentry add-on to place at the bomb site incase of any stragglers get past. The one problem i have found is running out of ammo while using the sentry controler, (as it uses double the ammo) i tried to get other engineers to load the sentry while i fire in chat. But every public game i have joined the chat has been silent.
  17. Team Fortress 2 Co-op! Mann vs. Machine

so i waited for a server with my friend for 40 mins, got into a game and then it just crashed within 2 seconds. Great. But im gonna try again tonight
  18. So Blacklight: Retribution was released (on steam) on the 2nd and a friend said i should try it. It is free to play so why not? the gun building/customization seems pretty good and the tactical view you can use in game is one of the best camping deterrents i have seen in FPS's. Im not sure how i feel about how expensive guns and items are, but they can also be bought for in game currency. Its on steam, so if any thumbs wana play my steam tag is 'stewmull' with the same avatar as the forum.
  19. Music of the games of video

I loved the KOTOR 2 soundtrack, it really conveyed that there was no hope for the player and they we're alone, especially on the mining station at the start.
  20. Team Fortress 2 Co-op! Mann vs. Machine

I would totaly be up for that, but it depends where in the world people are for meet up times, maybe a EU and US groups?
  21. Have you ever tried to make a game?

I never tried sins, i might check it out before we get started
  22. Team Fortress 2 Co-op! Mann vs. Machine

i have to say as a lapsed TF2 player i am so stoked about this
  23. Sleeping Dogs

I am really interested in this game as i have always wanted a GTA type game in a bright Asian city, But alas i cannot play it because of my pc specs, I could barely play saints row the third!
  24. Blacklight Retribution

Yeah the guns are super expensive, but you get masses of items when you level up. They are on like a 3 day trail, but you do get to try out most of the gun stocks, barrels etc. That really helped me make an informed decision when i actualy spend my in game points.
  25. Have you ever tried to make a game?

A friend and I have been thinking about making a game as he is studying game desgin and I work as a mechanical engineer at an Oil company. I have been using 3D tools for 6 years so I would help him assets, themes etc. But we have never had any good ideas, the closest we game to getting started was a spaceship strategy game that worked like Starwars Empire at war's real time sapce battles.
