Can you pet any of the wild animals? Do grenades still roll down hills? Ok real question: what are the camp respawn times like? That was the main thing that bugged me in Far Cry 2.

I read in interviews that Season 2 was the only season that the writing team had planned out fully before shooting (thus the weird flash-forward segments). They felt it was too forced and reverted back to writing on the fly.

Video Games Hot Dog were talking about Feed The Beast on a recent episode and it seemed really cool. Not sure how tough it would be to install and maintain, but I'd definitely be up for it.

I finished playing The Walking Dead yesterday and when I sat down to mess around recording stuff this theme for Clementine popped out. Still using pretty limited software, but I was pleased with it and I think it's by far the most consistent thing I've made so far.

It would be the Burnout of Golf games. It would be glorious.

Logged on for the first time in a few months as there's an event going on this weekend open to all levels across loads of zones. Players seem to be rushing from zone to zone helping fight crab people wherever they spring up. The one I attended said that the wizard's tower was under attack and we had to go help. The lag was awful and no models would load so it was just fireballs and animations everywhere. As soon as you saw an enemy it was dead. I really don't know why they didn't use the overflow servers to help keep the numbers in check. And we didn't even get to see any wizards. The sweet floating wizard tower just remained floating there in the distance. Forever out of reach.

Great! Gatsby is one of my all time favourites. Looking forward to reading through again post-Downton Abbey. While Downton is pretty fictitious in most cases and hilariously soapish, I think it does a good job of capturing that feeling of British upperclass extravagance in the early 20th century, and makes frequent (often snide) remarks about their rich American counterparts. It'll be interesting going back to Gatsby's era and being able to compare and contrast those two paths of extravagance.

Frog Fractions has to be pretty high up there. Can LOMAs be considered? By being a constant state of beta it seems weird to include them, but both DOTA2 and LOL have taken up so much of the public's mindshare (and my time) that it also seems weird to not give them a mention. In terms of more standard video games, The Walking Dead is probably my frontrunner so far (NO PRESSURE ON EP 5 GUYS). Compared to the bombastic Dishonored/XCOM/CODBLOPS, The Walking Dead is almost charmingly demure on the outside, while possibly being one of the most substantial video games on the inside.

How did everyone feel about the character tie-in aspect? (Spoilers below about which characters are crossovers, but no story spoilers about these characters.)

Being able to pay to unequip the laser guidance system, then pay again to reequip it "because that laser was pretty sweet" was pretty great.

Oh man, Frog Fractions is pretty incredible. Also it gives you the option after the credits to listen to any of the soundtrack with Goldblum noises overdubbed.
